After almost purchasing a 2012 Honda Civic EX from a competitor dealership, I came upon Rockingham Honda. We were driving by and being that my son had not seen the car or colors, I pulled in. As we walked around the lot searching for a Civic, we were approached by Product Consultant, John Green. I explained to John that I had signed a deal with another dealership and just wanted to show my son the car and colors. As this was awkward for me even asking, John said no problem and even pulled the car out so my son could get a better look inside. He spent a good deal of time explaining the car and it's features, to my son. After about 10 minutes talking with John and going over the car, I couldn't have been more comfortable and began to question, Why didn't I buy it here ? You see, in that short period of time I already felt more respect and professionalism than I did with the salesman and sales manager at the competitor dealership, but I knew I was getting a GREAT deal so I settled and said many thanks to John. Before we left John asked that if he can beat the price, would I consider purchasing the vehicle from them. Honestly, I did not go there to negotiate a better deal and being that I have not purchased a vehicle in over 10 years, I wasn't even aware I could do that... Well low and behold Rockingham Honda beat the price and my family could not be happier !! John, along with his sales manager, Jerry Malone could not have been more personable, accommodating and professional. I just came off of a three year lease of a Civic from this dealer. The sales experience was just about identical to what I had last time. We just took a couple of cars for a test drive, talked about the great leasing deals that Honda was offering, and I felt comfortable pulling the trigger. I was actually just out buying some shoes and decided to stop in to see what was available since my term was ending in a month. Two hours later, I had leased a new 2012 Accord. I picked it up the next day and Ryan called to see how it was going. I expect my experience with this lease will be the same as my prior lease. It's just the best way to maintain a car; just get a new one every three years! I had a brief encounter with Jerry. I'll have to say I've been in other dealers where the manager was so overbearing that I felt sorry for the salesmen. Jerry did not fit that stereotype. Since I had my last lease there and had all the "maintenance" (oil changes) done there too, I can say that the service department also provides great customer service and satisfaction. All in all, I think this is a great dealership to do business with. More
