Purchased unit October 2nd, 2020 at Camperland Katy, Texas. During our walk of this, and other units, we questioned our sales person about the cleaning and unit inspection. We were told that the unit would be thoroughly cleaned and all components would be inspected and repaired/replaced as necessary. When we talked to the purchase writer (not sure what her official title is) we were informed this was not the case. She informed us that the fee of $695 is mandatory and did not include repair/replacement of worn/damaged items such as fridge, furnace, AC units, etc. even though we specifically asked, and were told by our sales person, that they would all be repaired/replaced if there were issues. We are still confused as to what Camping Worlds position is on this item. We asked the purchase writer if all these systems could be checked when we when unit is picked up on Friday, and were told yes, but if there were issues with any item not functioning correctly, we could just take our money back and not purchase unit, in-lieu of Camping World repairing/replacing item(s). I was taken aback at this statement. I would expect this to be the case if we were purchasing a cheap unit from a private sale, not when spending $30,000 + at a dealership.The purchase writer was rude. For our pickup we had an appointment but had to wait 2 hours to start the process. This took another 1-1/2 hour even though we had been in the week before to buy! They did not have anit-sway bar for unit so had to leave without one. To top it off, i was finally frustrated with when unit would be ready (3-1/2 hours so far) and was told it was out front and i could take away. No offer was made to help me hook up or review how to tow (my first hitch trailer, previous had been 5th wheels). Did not think at that time (I am pissed by now) to ask about the keys. Then get unit home, found 8 (yes 8) keys in a storage drawer. None of them fit my unit! I called and salesman said he would send out a master key. Never received. Had to go to another dealer and order new keys. I will never be back to this location. They could care less after they get your money. Sent email to Oscar Davila, Internet Sales Manager but he never responded. More
BE CAREFUL! Camping World is not standing by the extended service plan that they recommended when we purchased our 2016 Class A Hurricane RV with 8,000 miles. In less than a year of use we are now extended service plan that they recommended when we purchased our 2016 Class A Hurricane RV with 8,000 miles. In less than a year of use we are now looking at $6,900 in repairs that they refuse to help with. We are looking at having to replace all of the furniture in the RV due to a known fabric flaking problem in the RV industry. The sales person recommended that we purchase the extended service plan to protect us from this happening. They now refuse to accept responsibility that it is their extended service plan that they sold us telling us that we need to take it up with the plan provider who is refusing to perform the repairs. Never would have bought the RV or the extended service if I knew it would not cover these repairs. Terrible experience and customer service! More
Where do I begin? We sold our trailer through consignment from this business. Once our trailer sold after we requested to pick it up, the contract states they have 10 days to pay off our loan and pay us the from this business. It has been OVER A MONTH and we have not been paid and our loan is not paid off. We have been to the store, spoken to the GM and nothing has been done. Now we have contacted corporate office and have a case open, the case manager has been in contact and said they will take care of it Monday 7/20. Camping world has still not resolved the issue and we had to recontact the corporate office. We have now contacted our attorney to get this resolved. This office is a disgrace with employees that do not follow through and are extremely disorganized....so much so that when we went in the beginning to pick up a check because we saw it had sold online, they were confused and said it didn’t sell and they had our camper waiting outside. The incorrect VIN number concluded that was a lie. Don’t waste your time here. More
Absolute worst experience! My husband and I bought a camper from them and brought it back to them for warranty work. The service department never returns phone calls, we called and left messages with th camper from them and brought it back to them for warranty work. The service department never returns phone calls, we called and left messages with the service manager everyday for two weeks and never received a phone call back. They had our camper in there shop for 5 weeks and could not get an update. My husband went back to the store to get a update and it was excuse after excuse so he ended up just picking the camper up and we had to take it somewhere else. My family will never be back to another camping world More
We went to the RV show in Mobile looking at a Keystone Montana when we met Francisco, a salesman on loan from the Huston store. Without his tireless effort, this sale would not have happened.at this time. More
If you see any 5 star rating for camping world, they are only for the customer service they provide when they are trying to get you to sign that contract. DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT CAMPING WORLD, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I bought a brand new travel trailer from this in 2018. It started with a leak that we asked about at the pre-inspection upon delivery (their delivery inspection is a joke by the way). They said it wasn’t anything. Fast forward and our wall is rotted. It took camping world around 6 months to fix the issue, not to mention we called them everyday for a month and no call back or answer, until we just showed up. We had no CHOICE, so we traded that in for a 2019 5th wheel ( brand new). We had to take it in multiple times for the SAME ISSUE. Also, they think using a hammer to fix a brand new unit is correct, when they should of ordered new parts. People, please do your research about all camping worlds, YouTube, social media, etc.. to see how they do business. People who have been doing the RV life for a long time DO NOT RECOMMEND buying from camping world. Save yourselves a huge headache. If you see a person like this, take time out of their day to write an article, it must be worth something or worth the read. Moral of the story, DO NOT BUY FROM ANY CAMPING WORLD. More

Ben worked diligently with the management to locate me the same trailer from another CW location and are bringing one here with the same original, honored price. In a day where customer service goes by the wayside I have to give kudos to my salesman Ben, he went out of his way, above and beyond to make me a wonderful deal. The managers and Ben did what was right and good .....and to me, no amount of money can beat that kind of service. Integrity is a rare find. I will do a follow up review once I actually receive my RV . But with this group I expect nothing but the best... good, reliable, honorable sales. More

Irregardless, people make mistakes, it is what you do about them that matters the most. Took it back and a great service manager, service writer and technician jumped right on it. The technician was Brandon. He is a great technician, figured out the problem and, with his skillful intervention on our behalf, the company decided to fix it on the spot rather than take it into the shop and put it in line. Brandon treated me like I would treat my own clients. He did what I thought should have been done and he kept me from having to argue the point myself. Great job Brandon, great job service department, and great job Camping World. More
