The sales staff do not follow up or provide information. The service department lacks knowledge on repairs and is extremely show. I would not recommend purchasing a camper/rv from them. More

Vitaly was our salesman and was wonderful to work with, super energetic and very prepared to find a match for our families needs. He quickly helped us look into many options and find the perfect fit for our family and budget. Store had tons of great variety for merchandise and show room with large variety of campers ready to walk through. Shawnee was super helpful with our kiddos throughout the purchasing process and they even got our kiddos huge balloons to take home! Finalizing the details with Jimmy who gave excellent customer service made the entire experience great. More

My husband and I live in Charleston but purchased a class C Coachmen from out of town because Camping World is not a Coachmen dealer, and Coachmen had the floor plan we wanted. However, Camping World said they are a Coachmen Warranty Service Center and could handle our in or out of warranty needs. Good news, right? Well we had a major leak right out of the gate with this unit, so we took it to Camping World for repairs, along with a list of 20+ other, mostly minor, warranty items - like punch list items. Camping World has a good face up front; the service representative assigned to us did a walk through with us, took notes, and assured us she would see our repairs through from start to finish. However, 2 months later we still didn't have our unit, and I received no communication from our service rep - I had to call several times for an update and was told they were waiting on parts. We needed it for a planned travel, so they got 9 of the items done, including the leak repair which they say involved peeling back the rubber roof, re-glueing and re-sealing it. They said Forest River (Coachmen) had sent the wrong parts for the remainder of the items, which was not true as you will see later in this story. We picked up the unit to go on our trip and Camping World said they would call when the items were in. We went on our trip and on the way home, on the highway, the entire front half of the rubber roof peeled back off the unit! My husband had to duct tape it down, stopping every half hour or so to re-tape, in order to get us home. We took the unit back to Camping World and a month later we still didn't have our unit, and Camping World said that Forest River said the original roof repair as well as this one would not be covered. Camping World also claimed that Forest River AGAIN sent the wrong parts. This led me to contact Forest River, who told me the date they received the order for parts from Camping World, which was 3 months after I had dropped the unit off! Also, they weren't refusing to cover the leak repair, only the 2nd issue of the roof peeling back because they considered that to be Camping World's fault. We talked with Camping World again, in person, and funny thing - the parts guy admitted to not having ordered the parts until 3 months after we dropped it off! Gave me a sob story about how swamped he was, as if that was my problem! We had to hire an attorney to get Forest River and Camping World to fix this, as well as all our other items on the list; and even then they took over another month and constant follow up on our part to get the work done. We finally picked the unit up nearly 5 months after this all started, and half the punch list items were still not done. However, at that point we just wanted to get our unit away from Camping World. We will never deal with Camping World of Charleston again, for any reason; not even to buy toilet chemicals! More
