We were walk-ins. I knew what I wanted, but my husband insisted we were "just looking". Kat Byrd greeted us and walked us around the showroom. She sized us up quickly, and, in no time, had us test driving the cutest little silver platinum Juke SL, which had all the bells and whistle my husband loves. Kat could really do that car-talk stuff so my husband was very confident that his questions and concerns were addressed. He's a retired account so he needs to know exactly what his money gets him. To my surprise and glee, we bought the car right then and there! The paperwork was completed efficiently while my new car was being detailed. Afterwards, Kat took the time to explain and make sure I was comfortable with all its fancy features, including the skylight and backup cameral. She taught me how to handle Bluetooth, Sirius XM, and the Navigation system, and made sure I could do all of it myself before I drove off the lot. Kat's extensive knowledge of the product (as well as cars in general) cinched the deal for us. Her easy going personality made our whole car buying experience a complete joy. She's the perfect salesman. More

I wanted to buy a very specific Nissan Altima Coupe and no dealers in the area had anything close to it. Other dealerships tried to shoe-horn me into whatever they had on their lot no matter how different no dealers in the area had anything close to it. Other dealerships tried to shoe-horn me into whatever they had on their lot no matter how different it was from what I wanted. Other dealers shrugged me off when I asked to make a factory order but Ray helped me out. He got me the exact car I wanted down to the last detail. I highly recommend dealing with Ray, is was friendly, attentive, and no b.s. I got what I feel is a great price on exactly the car I wanted and an amazing financing deal. More
I was impressed with the overall experience at Campbell Nelson. I was greeted right away, the staff was very friendly. I spoke shortly with one of the owners (I think) and he seemed very concerned not Nelson. I was greeted right away, the staff was very friendly. I spoke shortly with one of the owners (I think) and he seemed very concerned not to just sell a car, but to make sure that I was happy with what I selected. I had been to the dealership on a prior occasion to test drive the car, and had returned in the evening a few days later to purchase the vehicle. The salesperson that helped me (Jon) was very friendly, and answered all of my questions. I did not feel any pressure at all to purchase the car. I was prepared to negotiate the price of my trade in, but after seeing their initial offer, I was more than pleased and did not feel like I had to at all. I felt that I was given a fair price, by an honest dealership. I would recommend the dealership/staff to anyone looking to purchase a new car. More
I just want to say from the start buying a car from Campbell Nelson was an exceptional experience. It actually felt more like all of the positive aspects of buying a car from a friend or family member. Campbell Nelson was an exceptional experience. It actually felt more like all of the positive aspects of buying a car from a friend or family member. The employees (from Sales to Finance) treated us with immense courtesy and respect When we arrived and looked around there never was any pressure to buy. The Sales rep Kat Byrd politely asked what we were looking for and showed us the Nissan Rogues available. We had a Nissan Pathfinder, and we were looking for more of a suburban family vehicle. Kat Byrd showed us couple of different models and we wound up choosing the Nissan Rogue SL. We love the Rogue's features and overall driving comfort. It provides for my wife and I, a very serene drive with comfort and adequate power. All in all, the buying experience was immensely professional, there was no emphasis on 'Buy it now' nor did we ever have any 'Us versus Them' anxiety. After we decided which vehicle was for us the buying process was very friendly and in the end we walked away very satisfied with the product we have for the price we purchased it. Just to give an example of how friendly it was, the Finance Rep (named Cecil) who assisted us, pointed out the protection plan that was on my other car, I could be reimbursed for. He just met me, and it really was reassuring, and more importantly I gained the impression he was on my side. After the purchase we noticed a blemish on the paint in a small section on the rear of the car. We brought this to their attention and they took care of it immediately. I felt a little guilty seeing as how we didn't see this until after the purchase, but Kat took us at our word (which again, was immensely appreciated) and fixed the problem. I encourage family, friends, and complete strangers who are reading this review, that Campbell Nelson is an honest dealership. My wife and I believe we will be doing business with them for quite a long time. More
Always a pleasure to do business with! When I enter I'm greeted by Michelle and she asks how she may help me and I was looking for parts since it was my first visit she walked me over to parts where she in greeted by Michelle and she asks how she may help me and I was looking for parts since it was my first visit she walked me over to parts where she introduced me to Wayne. I was looking for a few parts and man he knows his stuff! He was very friendly and patient with me as I had a lot of questions for him. When I was done with him he walked me over to Service and introduced me to Lee. Lee was a very nice Guy and told me if I ever need any parts installed or any service done or have any questions to come see him. My overall experience with the three people I met that day was phenomenal! And its a great overall dealership! Highly recommended you wont be disappointed! More
Campbell Nelson Nissan was GREAT (that's subtle). I placed an order with a deposit for a 2012 Altima Coupe, manual transmission with all options possible with Magic Nissan on Aug 13th, 2011. Two months placed an order with a deposit for a 2012 Altima Coupe, manual transmission with all options possible with Magic Nissan on Aug 13th, 2011. Two months later received a phone call from Magic stating that my vehicle would not be produced by Nissan in a manual, which completely untruthful. I contacted our parts consultant, Wayne, to assist me in locating an excellent salesperson and introduced me to John Kelch. I came in a week later to meet John in person to discuss placing another order with Nissan for an Altima Coupe. After a lengthy conversation, we walked the lot and viewed some vehicles only to find an impressive machine that was better than what I had originally wanted. All I can say is thank you John...Thank you for taking the time to understand my needs and wants as an enthusiast in automobiles…especially being a Nismo gal. Huge fan of the VQ engines!!! I love my new car!!! Thank you to all the personnel at Campbell Nelson Nissan. My next vehicle will be purchased once again with you. Metta Rizzo More
My wife and I bought a new Juke in January 2011 as a replacement for my aging pickup truck. This is our third brand new Nissan since 2007 and the 6th Nissan we've owned between the two of us. I went t replacement for my aging pickup truck. This is our third brand new Nissan since 2007 and the 6th Nissan we've owned between the two of us. I went to Campbell Nelson based on reviews online. The whole process has been bittersweet for us both for several reasons. We went to the dealer specifically to look at the Juke, we weren't sure if we would like it since it's a new design and kind of "out there" if you've seen one you know what I mean. As soon as I drove it I wanted it and they only had one on the lot which had a manual transmission. We weren't planning on buying a car when we stopped in but after talking to the salesman and loving the car we decided right there to buy it. We had several reasons for wanting the Juke: 1: we wanted the AWD because we live on a steep hill and like to go skiing in the winter time. 2: We wanted something that was economical and easy to park in town and at the airport. 3: we wanted something comfortable for both of us and 4: I wanted something reasonably fun to drive. The Juke seemed to fit the bill so we signed the paperwork. Problems started the very next day... we got the manual out to figure out how to program the bluetooth and saw "FWD" on the cover which I knew stands for front-wheel-drive and sure enough, after inspecting the rear end there was no drivetrain for the rear wheels. After some research online I figured out that the manual transmission isn't even available with AWD. So I felt kind of stupid, but I also felt ripped off after spending hours there talking about wanting the AWD with the salesman, the manager, and the finance guy... not one of them said a word even though I talked for hours about wanting an AWD car. So I called and spoke to one of the managers and he made some excuses and basically said there was nothing he could do. Then a few days later we received a phone call and they said they had arranged financing through Wells Fargo at 10.5% APR... so I called my credit union and asked why they didn't approve it and they told me that the dealer never called them, then they approved the loan over the phone @ 4.25% but said I would have to wait until I received paperwork from Wells Fargo to get the account number and then they would pay off the loan. A few weeks later I received a "voluntary" recall notice which said I could bring the car in to have some "reprogramming" done. It was due for an oil change and there was an annoying rattle near the driver door so I brought it in for service. They said the rattle was something loose inside the door so they removed the door panel and changed something and performed the recall procedure. The next day on my way home I noticed the doors unlocked while I was driving... I assumed I hit the button on the key fob and thought nothing of it. It happened a few more times so I took the key out of my pocket. Then it started happening continuously on my way home from work and I called the dealer. I drove it straight there and the door locks went off 48 times in a 30 minute drive. The annoying rattle persisted. After having it for a week they told me they couldn't recreate the problem so I picked the car up... on my way home it happened once but not constant like before. Then one day I was in our apartment and my wife called from the parking garage and said she could hear my door locks going crazy from the elevator so I ran down with the camera hoping to get it on video... which I did... and I sent the video to the dealer. They had the car several more days and didn't get it to happen, but they replaced some parts and the door locks work fine. Unfortunately since they fixed the door locks the bluetooth hasn't worked and the door rattle, which is actually something else altogether rattling, is still there. A few weeks ago my wife and I got in the car to head to the beach and my wife noticed a very pronounced knock coming from the engine. The knock was very irregular and loud so I called the dealer immediately and took it straight there. The knock had quieted somewhat since it warmed up but the technician was able to hear it. I also mentioned the driver seat has a really annoying “creaking sound.” Once again they had the car a week and said they couldn’t recreate the problem … and the seat still creaks which is very embarrassing considering the car only has 9000 miles on it. So now I have a car with no Bluetooth, an annoying rattle, a creaking driver seat, and an unknown engine problem that probably won’t reoccur until immediately after the warranty expires. All of the staff, with the exception of the manager I called after realizing the car wasn’t AWD, have been very nice… even though they’ve mostly been nice while telling me they didn’t, couldn’t, or wouldn’t fix whatever problem was happening at the time. I don’t necessarily regret buying the car but I can’t honestly say I’m happy with the outcome. I don’t think the Juke is a bad car nor do I think this is a reflection on Nissan as a manufacturer.
