When we sat down with John Taschner and also during the test drive he said that they just got the crv on the lot and still had to look over it and do some work to it. Then, after papers where signed, he told us to drive the car off the lot and that they would fix the repairs discussed in a few days, these repairs where: the sensor light on the dash for the back door open continuously blinks on and off, doesn't work! 2 dents on the doors, side paneling was lifted off the door, Also material from the interior was ripped in the front passenger side. And on the back door. Ok, are you ready to hear the rest of my experience yet? we took it in to have it repaired. It came back to us with only a few things fixed (material poorly upholstered with bubbles and folds) and the spare tire leather cover was slashed open. Which it wasn't before! Plus all dents and all other problems where not fixed. That is when the paneling on the windshield FLEW off when I was driving on the freeway (60mph) and I decided "heck, I'm going to write them an honest review because this is the worst car buying experience I have EVER had. I wrote a previous review that was truthful about my god awful experience and it has been deleted? Probably at the request of the dealership. So, after my first review, The general manager DC talked to my husband and said that the owners where shocked by my review and wanted to do everything they could to fix my bad experience, he requested we bring the car in and write a list of all the things we wanted fixed. I thought "hey, your the car people, shouldn't you just look it over and fix the problems you can see?? But we wrote a list to try to help the process along. So we took the car BACK to the dealership, with the list, and crossed our fingers. The car came back to us "looking" good, but I could still see the dents in the side. They fixed the upholstery, paneling, and the spare tire leather but all the real problems are still there. Both my husband and I tried calling the general manager back (DC) before writing this review in hopes to have things fixed and have a little honesty, but he decided not to call us back. He also said that the list was complete last time we talked to him (nope!) Most of the list was not done. The sensor light for the back door blinks continuously (very distracting and annoying on a long trip) and guess what?! Yesterday i was driving my baby and toddler to see grandma and the check engine and emergency light came on and the car started to stall. So now I probably have to pour thousands more into this vehicle. Basically putting me into debt I cannot afford being a low income family of four. I encourage this dealership to treat us like people, not just another sale, because that's what I feel like. I feel used, swindled, and like I haven't been heard as a customer. I have worked in customer service before and served all kinds of people, from the poorest to the richest, craziest to the meanest, and I learned to treat everyone with kindness and respect, because what goes around comes around. I heard that good christian people own this company. I will be praying that they make this right so I can afford to take care of my family. Thanks. More
My husband and I went to look at some pre-owned Nissan vans and there happened to be just the one we wanted in stock. We were helped by John O'Brien and from start to finish it was an excellent experience. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, honest and very easy to work with. He went the extra 9 yards to make sure we got what we wanted for the price we wanted and was gracious to top it all off with a couple little extras to make sure we were happy. I would definately recommend using this dealership and John to any one of my friends or family. Linda Schwanke More

He was even kind enough to help me understand a few other things that were affecting my credit report negatively. He was not pushy or too aggressive in any way he was very kind and courteous and patiently answered all of our questions through the entire purchase process. We were very pleased with his assistance in this process. Would definitely recommend working with him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from Campbell-Nelson!! --Ken&Jess More

I was in the market for a upgrade to my 2 door stick shift commuter car when I discovered how affordable the 2013 Nissan Leaf had become. The Nissan dealership in Edmonds was the closest one to my house shift commuter car when I discovered how affordable the 2013 Nissan Leaf had become. The Nissan dealership in Edmonds was the closest one to my house, so I called over, made an appointment and went in to check one out. While every dealership is different, I had certainly had the all to common "war of attrition" experience before when buying a car. The salesman takes you for a spin, gets you excited, and then makes you wait for hours upon end while supposedly haggling over price with his manager in the next room. They figure, if you just wear the customer down until he just wants to get the heck out of there, what's another $800 in fees tacked on at the end, right? Or the high pressure, what will it take to get you buy a car TODAY? and then looking down their nose at you if you're apparently not "man" enough to sign right then. So I was fully prepared for this kind of experience in case that's what I was up against. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, right? Well, John Kelch met me soon after I arrived and brought me into his office. We sat down and I told him that I was interested in the base model Leaf, with no bells or whistles, and what would be the "out the door" cost, after all fees and such. He immediately got on the computer, looked this up and gave me a number. He told me what the invoice price was to them (no huge secret, as anyone can get this off of the Kelly BB), what he could let it go for, and we got there in less than 10 minutes. Then we took one for a drive. I was super impressed with the car, and John was a superior host. I am a CPA and pretty analytical. I had done my homework on the car, the battery, and had lots of questions, half of which I knew the answer to but wanted to test John to see what bs level I was dealing with. :) John answered every inquiry exactly right, and was super informative about the pieces I didn't know. He knew the best practices to treat the battery right, and could take me through the entire computer dashboard easily- allowing me to interrupt with questions and not seeming at all put out to have a back and forth dialogue. We also talked music and bonded a little that way since we both have a passion for that. After we got back, I told him that this was my first stop and he understood, gave me a printout of my quote and told me to call him with any questions. No pressure, no hard sell, ZERO time wasted sitting around. I left the dealership a little like "Did that just happen?" Well the next couple of weeks I had entirely different experiences as I went to 2 other Nissan dealerships in the area and one Hyundai store. At each, it was either lots of waiting around, people who didn't listen to what I told them when I came in, or even out and out lying to my face in one instance. "Absolutely this is the out the door price".. 2 hrs later.. but licensing and doc fees of $800 are standard~! argh... In the end, I called John from another dealership saying that I was being offered the same model at under invoice, but in a color I didn't choose. The metallic slate was my favorite, but difficult to find. What was the likelihood of him finding me one? He told me, about 60%, but he needed 24 hours. He said it was up to me in the end and didn't pressure me one way or the other. Well, I gave him the ball and sure enough, the next day at 3 pm he called. "I found your car in metallic slate". He had worked the phones to track one down and was going to have it for me the next day. And the next day, I went in at 9:30 am and after a quick spin, was out the door in my brand new car by about 11 am. The docs were exactly what he said they would be and the out the door price was exactly that- the out the door price. I can't imagine a car buying experience with someone going smoother or any more efficiency. My time is spent between work and my family and I don't have a lot of time to mess around with haggling and salesmen who will say anything to get you in the door so they can waste your time and try to wear you down. John Kelch was amazing to deal with and if I could give him 10 stars I would. I went back to my office that day and started talking about the purchase with some co-workers and one of them, Caroline, said- I have a Nissan, where did you go? - "Edmonds.." "That's where I went!- -who did you workd with ?" " John Kelch".. "That's who I used! He was completely awesome!" Small world! Sometimes just doing things the right way in a business where so many do it the wrong way can make you seem like a superstar. But John isn't just doing business right- he really knows his cars inside and out, and probably answered about 10 different emails throughout those 2 weeks for me as I educated myself on the Leaf. I am really happy to have given him and Campbell Nelson Nissan my business and will be referring everyone I know to get off gas, take advantage of the $7,500 government tax credit with a 2013 Leaf, and to go see John Kelch who won't waste their time or play silly games. Ask Caroline, she used him too~! More
We actually were waiting on our Nissan Xterra which was in the service department when my husband and I walked outside to look around at the cars. Jon Taschner walked up and told my husband that they had in the service department when my husband and I walked outside to look around at the cars. Jon Taschner walked up and told my husband that they had just gotten several used cars in. He took us to look at a very nice 2012 Honda Accord. Well, we test drove it, then went through the process of purchasing it. We didn't feel pressured and the whole sales deal went very smoothly. We got a good trade in price for the Xterra, and even though we would have liked the Accord to be lowered more in price we felt like we got a pretty good deal. I went back a few days later to drop the car off for detailing. I was expecting the service department staff to drop off the car for detailing, but Jon met us and drove the car to the detail shop, then when I came back a few hours later he drove the car back to where I was waiting. Jon is a very nice person, easy to deal with, and very knowledgeable about the vehicles. I would highly recommend dealing with Jon if you want to buy a used or new car, and I also highly recommend the Campbell Nelson Nissan dealership. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. More
We got in touch with John Kelch when it was time to return our leased 2010 Nissan Altima and we were looking to upsize to a new Pathfinder. John was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process return our leased 2010 Nissan Altima and we were looking to upsize to a new Pathfinder. John was a pleasure to work with and made the whole process simpler than we could've imagined - fast, informative, within our budget, and flat out great customer service. We were in the lot with our old car and out of the lot with our new car in under a couple hours, but never felt rushed, pressured, or in a hurry, even though it was at the end of the day before a holiday. We love our new Pathfinder and will definitely recommend others to Campbell Nelson and John Kelch. More

My wife Amy was the first to go to this dealer to check out used and new Pathfinders. John Kelch provided some helpful info and she drove a few different years to find the right fit. After trying out som out used and new Pathfinders. John Kelch provided some helpful info and she drove a few different years to find the right fit. After trying out some competing models, we got serious about negotiating on the new model. John was friendly and open to giving us time to drive the car again and continue our exploration. Upon our third visit, we asked John more questions about the car and this time started to engage around pricing/financing options. John spent a good deal of time with us and helped us to get comfortable with the various options. He was very personable, professional, and forthcoming and he never pressured us. In fact, we appreciated his sense of humor as we tussled with the decision. After having purchased a car from John, we both feel like we made the right choice and his support was a huge plus. We also worked with Cecil on the paperwork end and he provided some helpful counsel as we weighed options for extended warranties. In the end, Amy and I have both bought a handful of cars and this experience really was the best all around. I will highly recommend them to any of our friends, acquaintances, and colleagues who are looking for a car. More
