I had a weekday 2pm appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I showed up on time. From arrival to departure, the entire process took almost 2.5 hours, most of which I spent in their mediocre wait tire rotation. I showed up on time. If the cost of the service hadn’t been complementary because of the recent purchase of the vehicle, I would’ve gladly gone to a different shop. At Brakes Plus this service would’ve taken roughly 45 minutes on a weekday. Also, Brakes Plus doesn’t attempt to upsell me on overpriced services I didn’t ask for, like oil or fuel additives. More
My first visit was terrible. The guy at the service department had no clue what he was talking about. I still made an Appointment because Costco has a special deal for 15% off. The service advisor I was initially scheduled with wasn’t even there when I showed up. New advisor worked with me and tried to help save me money but then he told me I had to replace a part that was almost at recall levels due to safety concerns. I bought the “updated” part and installed it myself and found that the Original part was already the updated part, so I just wasted money. More
There service is great but when you arrive to the service center and you wait in the vehicle for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledges you are there, having to get down from the vehicle, find someone to gr center and you wait in the vehicle for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledges you are there, having to get down from the vehicle, find someone to greet you and help you with your scheduled appointment. That is not so great! After connecting with the person I was scheduled with everything else went smoothly. Thank you Quatarius for listening and carrying out the services the way you did. More
I waited 10 minutes in the service area before anyone came to assist me, despite having an appointment. I was there for a simple oil change with no tire rotation. After 2 hours, I finally texted to ask for an update since I hadn’t heard anything, and they informed me they were still inspecting my 4Runner. It took a while longer before I received the inspection report, and overall, I was there for 3.5 hours for a basic oil change. To make matters worse, my hood no longer opens, and I am 100% certain it was working the night before, as I had to jump-start someone’s car at a gas station. Out of my last five oil changes here, three times I’ve left with a nail in my tire and now my hood won’t pop open!!! It’s incredibly frustrating to wait over 3 hours every visit and leave with a new issue. I am absolutely not impressed! I take immense care of my 4Runner which is why I thought going through the dealership would be better overall but I was very wrong. More
