Dear ksuss, We again apologize and regret if you feel Camelback Toyota was unprofessional or dishonest in it's sales process or service experience. We would like to clarify a couple of statements. When you arrived at Camelback Toyota your service advisor informed you that it would be a 4 hour wait to diagnosis the check engine light being on. He offered you a complimentary rental car so you wouldn't be inconvenienced and could leave the dealership. You declined our offer and choose to wait the 4 hours. Our first gesture of customer service. You were than advised the repair was to replace the coolant control flow valve. He discussed the cost to you, you agreed to the costs and by your signature on the authorization document we completed the repairs. In addition, we do not perform any repairs without a signed authorization either by phone or in person for any customer,this is protect both parties. Regarding the sales department experience, the pre-owned 2007 Prius with 41,000 miles that you purchased was a Toyota Certified Vehicle, it includes 3 types of warranties, 5yr/60,000 mile power train, 8yr/80,000 mile emission and 8yr/100,000 mile hybrid system. The value that needed replaced actually falls under the factory 3yr/36,000 warranty, so not even a consideration. The 2009 Pruis that you mentioned may not have been a certified vehicle and Boo was looking out for your best interest. The 2009 wouldn't possibly had these 3 additional coverages. Again, you were offered the opportunity to purchse extended protection, as all our customers are, and our documents indicate you declined this option while in our Business Office. Unfortunatley your costs were that of simply necessay unforseen repairs. In closing, I sincerely regret that you feel our staff found any humor regarding your experience. We are confidant that their laughter, if any, in our very large service area was completely unrelated. Our mature staff does take pride in professionlism. Our offer was not to place a value on you ksuss, our customers are invaluable to us, it was an offer to hopefully help you offset a future service cost on your vehicle.
