I went for warranty work on my 2023 Toyota Tundra Platinum Hybrid. The trim on the back driver's side door bent back after getting caught on the front door. First call was to explain the situation Platinum Hybrid. The trim on the back driver's side door bent back after getting caught on the front door. First call was to explain the situation and volunteer to send pictures of the damage. I was told that I had to schedule an appointment so THEY could take pictures and get approval from Toyota. I took the time out of my day to bring my truck by the dealership so Nemo could take pictures. I was told they'd have to schedule the repair after they received the part. After they received the part, I scheduled an appointment for the repair. I showed up for my appointment and after nearly 3 hours of waiting in the lobby, I finally saw my truck being moved back for service. 10 minutes later - nearly 5:00 now - my advisor Nemo told me they needed my truck overnight. I had plans that night and the next morning so leaving my truck overnight was a huge inconvenience. Nemo would not provide a courtesy vehicle so I told him to give me my truck back. He later explained that courtesy vehicles were not provided for cosmetic repairs, even under warranty. I was upset about my wasted afternoon and asked for the service manager contact info. Nemo said he could have the manager contact me and I agreed. I received a call from Brandon Moss the next day. Never ended up talking with Brandon, but according to the website, Brandon is another service advisor. That maneuver feels pretty deceptive. I reluctantly decided to schedule another appointment since they already had the part and planned to drop my truck off overnight. Nemo said it would be ready in the morning. I received a call the next day and Nemo said they received the wrong part and they'd need my truck the rest of the day. Nearly 24 hours after I dropped off my truck I was informed it was ready for pickup. Upon inspection at pickup, I noticed a small chip in my driver's door where the trim hit it. Nemo seemed unconcerned. I asked him to document the damage so I could address it later. I don't understand how the service tech didn't notice and address the damage when he was working on the repair. My experience with other dealers - especially for warranty work has been much different. The service team did the bare minimum to resolve the issue. Not going back. More
I travel 31 miles one-way to have my vehicle serviced at Camelback Toyota. And the primary reason that I do that is my Service Advisor Jose Tijerino. Jose has never failed to be honest and professional w Camelback Toyota. And the primary reason that I do that is my Service Advisor Jose Tijerino. Jose has never failed to be honest and professional with me and has gone the extra mile to take care of me on several occasions. I recently had a purge valve fail at mid-afternoon while driving. I called Jose and he told me to bring it in; no appointment. The technicians actually stayed after closing time to make sure the repair was completed and I was back on my way safely. Jose and his team deliver customer service as it should be delivered. More
I have been going to Camelback Toyota since 1996. The team there is by far the best in the country. Jose Tijerino is my service rep. Nobody even comes close to the service he provides to me. If I cou The team there is by far the best in the country. Jose Tijerino is my service rep. Nobody even comes close to the service he provides to me. If I could give 10 stars I would. The work is done on time, the price is fair, and honest. My truck has 540,000 miles on it, and the Engine, and Transmission has never been opened up. All because of Jose, and his team. Thank you Jose, and everyone at Camelback Toyota ! More
Mid October 2021 I was sold a 2018 Toyota Tacoma @ 50k miles. The negotiation and final signing process took roughly 9 hours and started at noon-1pm. After agreeing with the terms given I was offered mult miles. The negotiation and final signing process took roughly 9 hours and started at noon-1pm. After agreeing with the terms given I was offered multiple warranties which one in particular is why I’m reaching out. A platinum warranty which was stated to add 75k miles on top of the mileage I bought with with truck bringing the grand total up to 125k under covered warranty. When I attempted to utilize said warranty in June of 2023 to fix my 120v adapter in the bed of the truck, the manager of claims at MPP(external warranty company)had disclosed and I quote “hurry and get your truck in it expires at 75k miles. Which at this point I’m at 72.5k miles from the original 50k. Confused, I said this is not what I was sold. I was sold a 6 year up to 125k mile warranty, which the salesman had disclosed TWICE, once on the day of sale and second June 30th 2023 when I had gone back to question why I was sold and lied to about such an absurd warranty that I was promised would cover most of the term of the loan. May I mention, when I went back to question it the salesman claimed the same as when I first bought it and looked confused as well escalating it up to his manager which yielded no results after two weeks now. So, after 9 hours of negotiation I just wanted to be done with it get the truck which what I thought I wasn’t being scammed on, and get home which was an almost 3 hour drive from the dealership. I am not rich by any means and the warranty costed me $2,500 which I haven’t used, now that it’s about to expire I will not and cannot ever use. It is absurd. I would like a full refund for the payment given for the warranty, that’s fair considering the mental stress this also caused me. Do not I Repeat, DO NOT EVER buy from camelback Toyota. They will tell you false facts just to make a sale. More
Two oil changes ! st one they spilled oil on engine and never wipe it up and it leaked on my garage floor. 2nd oil change, requested Mobile One, they put the wrong oil st one they spilled oil on engine and never wipe it up and it leaked on my garage floor. 2nd oil change, requested Mobile One, they put the wrong oil in it and basically said.....oh, sorry we blew it. Brought my Sorento in for a scheduled appointment just for an oil change. After 4 hours, the car still wasn't done. I inquired why and they said they don't take appts for Kia. Even though I've had it there 3 times before. Then Thursday 6/15/23 brought the car in at 0730 hours. They ordered the wrong part. It's now going to be done MAYBE 6/17/23 on a Saturday. I can promise you after seeing that the service dept only got 2 1/2 stars I will now be driving to Bell Road to a different dealer. I have zero confidence in this dealership. ZERO....nada....they are horrible. More
