I got rid of it a couple of years ago. I would never buy another one. I am constantly, on a regular basis receiving phone calls from the dales team asking me if I would like to trade it in and upgrade, blah blah blah. I have explained that I no longer own the vehicle and do not plan on purchasing another one. I have spoken to managers asking them to please remove my name from their list. I have tried being nice and I am still receiving calls from these idiots, Sundays at 8:00 in the evening, I get up and go to work at 2:30 AM. I have asked every time for them to remove my name. They are all idiots and I am sick of the harrassing phone calls. I am going to register a complaint with the Better business bureau. I could go on about my buying experience. I picked out a car, pearl white to be exact and by the time they got me out of there it was dark. I got home and got up the next morning and I had a grey car. I would not recommend Camelback Volkswagen to anyone. Obviously the entire company is crooked since I've heard about the computer problems they created to avoid emission test problems. Stay away from them. Go buy a Ford from Sanderson Ford. They treated me right. More
Dreams Do Come True! After losing one of my loves, my 07 Scion TC. A car that I put a lot of love and care into, transforming into a ‘Suns’ car. Recognized throughout the After losing one of my loves, my 07 Scion TC. A car that I put a lot of love and care into, transforming into a ‘Suns’ car. Recognized throughout the valley and online, everyone that knows me how much I had a bond with this car. Sadly I ended hearing those dreadful words “Your car is totaled”. I was extremely upset and sad, I loved that car so much and knowing I would never drive it, or see people admiring it beauty was heartbreaking. But it was time to get new wheels, so I started the search and doing research online. I wanted to stay in the sporty, yet have more room since I have a son and GF. The two doors days have been placed on hold for now. Need more room and most important, a trunk! My options came down to Chevy Cruze, Dodge Dart, Hyundai Genesis, Honda Civic, and Subaru WRX. I’ve owned a Cruze before, and a Civic…so those choices were easy. But ever since I was a kid, the WRX caught my eye and I always found myself wanting one and selecting the car in video games. So my first step was to reach out to Honda, Chevy, and Subaru. I instantly got a welcoming text from Subaru, was very surprised on how fast. As the night came to an end, I did some research on a loan. This way I can know what I can afford before I hear the sales pitch. The next morning I heard back from Austin, my salesman through Subaru. He was checking in with me and verify that I was still coming down there today to look at a few cars. As this was my first stop, I was nervous…could my car that I always want to be that much closer to reach? I took my son, he 7, with me to look at these cars. Since I wanted to make sure he was comfortable and happy with his new ride as well. I also showed videos and photos of both the WRX and Cruze to my GF the night before and she liked them both. Pulling into the dealer I was in shock, all these sexy, beautiful cars surrounding me. I found Austin and shortly after the hellos, he handed me keys to a WRX, my goal was to get into an STI, since they are so sexy and nothing else like them on the road. But numbers wise the WRX was a better fit. Keep in mind I have never sat, let alone drove a WRX….I was in LOVE….the power, handles and just altogether feel for the road was amazing. Even though we had to deal with the rush hour traffic, he found a way for me to fully understand just how amazing this car was. But my mind wanted the STI, so we sat down and started to go over my options. Next thing came just surprised me, HONESTY! He was straight up with me, knowing he can most likely get me in the STI, he felt the WRX was a better fit and in the long run can be faster and look just as good as an STI. I took some notes, handed some sales books and went on my way. Telling him to let me sleep on it and do some research and I’ll most likely be back tomorrow. Now this next part I feel bad for, I went to a Chevy dealer right after. I did tell him I was going straight home, but I had to do my research. I went to the same dealer that I have been two for the last 2 cars I have bought. Thinking I would be treated like family and get a better deal here than any other Chevy dealer. Sadly I was wrong, they didn’t have the exact car I wanted and the one car that I found. The quoted me the same price he guy on the phone told me. I got extremely upset and looked at him and said. “where is my loyalty cost” this would be the 3rd car I bought here? He came back with roughly 500 off. I was so upset, getting the same treatment and prices and treatment that anyone that walked thru the door would get. The Cruze drove nice, and looked nice, but clearly, couldn’t match the power and look of the WRX. They had $ and mileage over Subaru, I didn’t feel the same as I did the other times buying cars. I left upset and sad, I knew that Chevy lost my business. I went home, well after 10pm, tucked my son into bed, and cuddled up with my GF while she was watching TV, I had research to do. Long behold, the more and more I kept reading and watching video, I found that the WRX was a much better choice. Engine was more advance and setup for a daily driver, but capable of so much more. 2.0 vs 2.5 liters were hard to think, but since I was never going to use this car for racing purposes, more look and speed when I wanted to have fun. The WRX just made more since, so that I had to choice from the base, premium, or limited. Instantly I was going with the total package. I was hoping he had a black on black model. As I search online, only found 4 Limited WRX in the valley, 1 blue, 2 silvers and 1-black. 2 of them had navigation, so I said nope. That just made it easier to make the BLACK stand out, and it was at his location J. Woke up and instantly thought about this car, dreamed about it and wanted it. Something I thought about my entire life. Owning a WRX, was that much more real! I texted Austin in the early AM and he did verify that he had the limited there. I knew where I was going that night. Throughout the day I was looking at upgrades and videos during my breaks. I couldn’t wait. I clocked out and grabbed my son from school and headed back to Phx. As soon as I pulled in Austin was there to show me the car that he had pulled out, front and center for me. I was in LOVE, fully loaded and had an upgraded short shifter, Yes! I sat down and he showed me two prices, I thought one was a Limited and one was Base model. Huge price difference, then he pointed to the cheaper one, as I was expecting him to say this is the car we can get you into…he said something that nearly made me cry. “Since you were prior service, thank you by the way. Here is the price of your car” I asked is this the base model? Nope, it was the Limited the one I was just in…..Are you kidding me, just made me feel so special. Little back and forth with finances, and I watched my son hit the Gong. I was a proud owner of a beautiful 17’ Subaru WRX Limited. I couldn’t believe it! All my hard work saving, building my credit and working two jobs have paid off. My first brand new car! The next part is where I always get nervous and expect the worst, the warranties and add-ons sale pitch. Thankfully I dealt with Alex, she was amazing and made everything easy and understood my plans with the car and didn’t force things on me that I didn’t need. Most of the time we shared laughs not the back and fourths of negotiations. With everything signed and in place, I stayed under my goal monthly cost and was driving off the lot. Now since it was night time, they weren’t able to fully detail the car, plus it's been storming all week so I found it pointless at this point. But they offered for me to come in on the weekend and have it cleaned perfectly. I make the trip down there early Saturday morning to be greeted by Austin again and he took the keys and had me go speak to finance again. I was worried, why? He said no its good news, she got your monthly payment lowered…who doesn’t want to hear that! So after Alex saved me over $30 off my monthly payment and I signed the final and binding contract that verified this sexy beast is all mine. I asked Austin to show me to the parts department so I can start looking for my upgrades now, as my son walks in he noticed that they had toy cars on the wall that looked like daddy car. So he wanted one of course, after getting some prices and finding new items I want to add. I went to pay for the toy car and the gentleman behind the counter, told my son “it’s yours”. This treatment I have received was extremely humbling and I felt like family. As we get down with lunch I notice my car shining from far away. I walk around the car and noticed some minor scratches and some small things missed. Being it was the weekend they didn’t have a buffer on hand and a one man team detailer. Shortly after the sales manager walks out and introduces himself. Asks me if its ok to have Austin pick the car up during the week so they can make this car look the way it was supposed to be. Now being I live in Gilbert, work in Mesa and the dealer is in Phoenix, this was an offer I couldn’t refuse. I asked him if we can get the tint darker since you’ll have it all day. Looked right at me and said “I got you” asked me what I wanted as far as the tint and he’ll make it happen. After setting everything up, Austin hands me my keys and tells me he filled my tank for me since I drove out here and the car isn’t to his standings. This company takes care of you! Austin picks my car up from me at work and leaves me with a loaner car so I can get around and leave if I have an emergency. I wasn’t expecting that at all, totally thought I was going to be car-less for the day. He calls me and asked if he can keep the car overnight so the tint can heal and he make sure he can walk around the car to make sure there is no damage. Again, above and beyond care. I did suck that I didn’t have my car, but the fact they care about making it right and perfect means a lot to me. The next day, he brings me the car. I can hear it pulling up and I look out the window…SHINY! SEXY! AND PERFECT! I walk around to the car, to find no scratches, water marks, imperfections or anything, except for stupid AZ dust ha-ha. Even brought a microfiber towel just in case. The Tint looked amazing and the car was so clean… I also noticed a custom WRX plate on the back of the car, which he saw me eyeing at the parts department. After talking over everything I had planned for this car, and how happy I was. I gave him one more handshake and said thank you! At the end of the day, I am a proud owner of my first Subaru and it happens to be my dream car. Something I have wanted since I was 17…racing them in my CRX, video games and always driving or parking next to them so I can just drool and awe. I hope your team gets to see each and every upgrade I add to this car, and over the years you can see it grow. You have a life-long customer and I don’t think I will ever leave the Subaru family. I’ve only had fun with my new car once and let me tell you something. I’ve owned a lot of fast and great cars, this thing is incredible. My CRX ran a low 13sec at the track and the fact this car runs a mid-high 13 is insane…STOCK! Thank you!!!!! THANK YOU!!! Love, The Russo’s Austin Podlasek: Thank you for everything you have done for me, from the first text message to the last. You have shown me how a customer should be treated and shared laughs. I am extremely grateful that I had the pleasure of dealing with you and you selling me a car. Alexandra Perkins: Thank you for working the numbers with me and making sure everything stays in budget. Then finding a way to save me, even more, money. Camelback Subaru: Austin knew that I thought it was funny you’re in the old Chevy build my ex-wife bought a car in and we had a terrible experience. But, you guys replaced all those bad memories with happy and loving ones. Your entire staff was helpful and respectful. GREAT customer service. More

I Working with Darby was a pleasure, he helped me chose the right model and trim since I was not able to decide between the Impreza and the Crosstrek. I finally decided to get the Crosstrek Premium and it is a joy to drive. The buying process was very quick, enjoyable as well and simple. Darby along with Sales Manager Frank and Finance Manager Alex, were able get a very low interest rate for me. I am a very satisfied customer, look forward to keep doing business with them in the future. More

My past experiences lead me to the same conclusions many of us have about car dealerships and their employees. Being a woman, pushy, high pressure, "wheeling and dealing" car salesman, paired with sleazy managers can be very intimidating. Camelback, Tom Darby, and Frank Galtieri, changed my whole perception. Darby as they call him, was very knowledgeable with his product, and you can tell he took pride and genuinely cares about his customers. He made sure I found the perfect car for me! Then It was time to negotiate and the fears that come with that hassle! I had explained to Darby how I had been treated elsewhere, and his manager Frank made sure it was nothing like that. He came out with his numbers and asked where I was comfortable. He discussed my options, and ultimately helped me figure out exactly what I was comfortable doing and delivered! Totally changed my mind about the car buying experience! Alex P. In finance was an amazing woman and very good at her job! Thanks Camelback! More
Terrible experience Do not go there, terrible. I went with my family to buy 2017 Subaru which has not come yet. I give them a trade in and we agreed about the trade value Do not go there, terrible. I went with my family to buy 2017 Subaru which has not come yet. I give them a trade in and we agreed about the trade value ON CONTRACT and they took a deposit. Waited for few weeks for the Subaru to come and when it did. I went to them then he asked me for the trade car key to give it to used car adviser. At this time I know there is something fishy because we agreed already. Also the sales man asked me to get the paper which they typed and signed about the trade which will make sense after you read the rest of the story. So they took it and as I expected the manager came back to me with excuse to reduce the value of the trade. I told him this is the same car you saw and DROVE few weeks ago. I told him forget it I am going to another dealer. Think about it if they change word and they play games before we even get the car how about in the future and how about if there is a problem with the car. Dishonesty is what I hate in my life. So DO NOT GO THERE. We waited for them , we wasted our time and at the end they breach the contract that we signed with them. It is disappointing when it comes from a manager, people always expect manager to be held accountable for contract and for word. More

Dealership tries to pressure her into signing a contract for the same car for 19k at 14% interest ( we qualified at our bank for less than 3% ). After haggling back and forth, sales manager comes over and tries to use the "badger the dumb girl until she caves" approach. Fortunately my wife is smarter than they are and sees through the games. Thanks for wasting everyone's time. Purchased a car from a competing vw dealership at 2.9% and no hidden costs or bs fees tonight. More

Bait and Switch - Used car SCAM I have been searching for the right car for a while, and finally found what I was looking for on the Camelback Subaru website, Certified Pre-Owned WRX I have been searching for the right car for a while, and finally found what I was looking for on the Camelback Subaru website, Certified Pre-Owned WRX Hatchback. Nice! I called to confirm car was on site, 7/25, evening, and scheduled a test drive. Next day I received 2 more calls from this dealer, confirming that I wanted to go see this car. I said yes again, and verified my test drive window that afternoon. Cutting to the chase, When I arrived a few hours later, I went through all finance paperwork with the rep, all good. Then they test drove my trade in. OK. Then 45 minutes into this, we went out to the lot, and they proceeded to try and sell me a random base impreza, completely like this was ok. The WRX I wanted was gone. It was sold before I even called the first time. So, they said sure, come on down, got to joyride my vehicle, and then informed me that the whole reason I made the trip was an illusion. AS of 7/26, 700pm, this vehicle is still being advertised for sale on the website. This is not a website error, or a timing error, this is a bait and switch scam by an extremely shady dealer. You have been warned. More

T We just bought a new 2017 Outback Limited from Camelback Subaru. We had done our research and knew what we wanted and our salesman, Kevin delivered. There was no-pressure, and didn't feel rushed during test drives or when purchasing. We ordered the car after test-driving a 2016 with all our desired specifications except that we wanted a different exterior and interior color so we opted to order the care and we were pleasantly surprised when Kevin called and let us know that the car was delivered and ready a week earlier than promised. The dealership made the process easy with quick and clear, straightforward communication. Our final price was exactly as negotiated (with no last-minute surprises). We found all the staff to be professional and polite. More
