He was low-key, helpful, and completely forthcoming with all information (questions I asked and ones that had not occurred to me). He made the friend of mine who had come with me and me comfortable while some of the paperwork was being prepared and was respectful of our concerns. More

Warning about MPP (Mechanical Protection Plan) When leasing my car I was sold the MPP which covers many things little things over the length of the lease. This cannot be used until you end the lea When leasing my car I was sold the MPP which covers many things little things over the length of the lease. This cannot be used until you end the lease. What I was NOT told, nor is it in the literature, is that if I decided to buy the car a the end of the lease, which I plan to do, that this insurance would NOT cover any problems that occurred over the time of the lease when I pay off the balance on the car. I have talked to both the the BBL company and Camelback Subaru and they basically said that this is the way it is. In other words, this insurance is ONLY good IF you hand your vehicle back to the dealer or trade it in on another. I see this as a PENALTY for paying off the leased car at the end of the lease in order to pressure people into another lease. More

I had called ahead and had a “true car” price for the vehicle , I had filled out a credit and had my credit pulled . I had spoke with “the manager” mr Cooper and advised him of my credit situation and of my payments and asked if he could make it work . He told me he could definitely make it work and just to come down so they can work out the details . I advised him two to three times that I live more than 40 miles away so I don’t want to xx with them or have back and forth with me . We got there , checked out the car , test drove it and it was what I expected as a vehicle . ( side note they passed me on to two different people and I ended up with a kid that was new ) The guy that was working with me ( not going to use his name as he was just doing the job the best he could ) was not very knowledgeable at all about the car I was looking at , his answer to nearly all questions was “ uh I think so “ and “I don’t really know about cars “ ( don’t try to sell me something if you don’t know anything about it ) .So all that said , I got back to the table after the test drive and was met with the first “offer “ it was hugely off from what I had asked and spoken about andsaod that won’t work . They did the ol “if we can get this payment and this down , I will buy this car “ sign on a piece of paper ;and took my debit card ( super shady AF thing to do ) and I agreed , they went , left me for awhile , came back and tried to get me to agree to 3 times to down payment i had agreed on and then asked me to raise my offer a bit so I did and signed the little paper again . Now at this point I had already advised each person I had interacted with that I had a set number and I didn’t want to play games , I told the guy again before he left to not play games , they came back again and instead this time they had a different car , I went and test drove it and it was a cool car but it had 92k miles on it , it was a good deal it seemed and I said the same thing again that if they make the deal I would take it , I stearnly said “ do not play games , please just tell me if you can work with me “ and he once again told me he wouldn’t play games . We waited and then came back and yet again they had a price that was well over 100 more payment and 2 times the down payment.. I said give me my debit card and he instantly became defensive and stormed off and then his manager came out and tried to talk to me again and I just asked for my debit card and he tried to work with me again( meanwhile my wife had already gone to the car and was waiting ) They came back and I told them thank you and I suggested the guy learn more about vehicles and don’t xx people when they tell you from the beginning not to xx them ... overall sour taste in my mouth , will prob not return here which sucks because I have bought two cars from them in the past . O well More

Noticed it had a whining sound coming from the transmission. Was told to take it to AAMCO to have it diagnosed. Founds shards of metal in the transmission pan, and Camelback came and got it. AAMCO said the transmission was shot, and diagnosed what I already knew. Bad torrenson bearing behind the torque converter, and Camelback ignored the diagnoses. Told my wife and I the metal in the pan was normal wear, and refused to fix it. I insisted on getting my down payment back after a heated argument on the phone with Paul Shireman who is the used car sales director. He doesn't know his head from his _ss! The truck is still on the lot, and they have dropped the price from 7000 dollars to 5500 dollars. Don't even give it a second glance. All show and no go, or at least not for long. What a friggin joke of a car dealership. Paul Shireman is a friggin joke. I doubt he keeps that position long, but if he manages to, more power to him. Signed, MGC More
