Excellent experience I am a former car salesman and know what it is to take advantage of customers and what the tricks are. My salesman and all the staff were excellent. Shout out to Paul and Mr. Porter in finance especially. All in all, an excellent and stress-free experience. More
, I had a “Great Experience” at Camelback Subaru dealership! On June 3, I spoke to Frank Galtieri (Sales Director) and scheduled a June 4th 10:00AM appointment to discuss/test drive a Subaru Forester and Outback. As soon as I entered the dealership on June 4th, Todd Mitteness (Sales Consultant) approached me and I was surprised that he greeted me by name because we had never been met before. From the start, I felt very comfortable with Todd even though I was a Green Bay Packer fan and Todd was a Minnesota Vikings fan! I explained to Todd that my priorities in purchasing a new car were (1) Price; (2) Safety; (3) Features; and (4) Color. I also informed him that I had spent over 10 days in researching / comparing / test-driving automobiles at Honda, Toyota, and Chevrolet dealerships. From the beginning of my initial visit, Todd was a good listener and he understood my priorities. This was refreshing based on my recent previous experiences with other dealerships. From the start to the end of my car-buying process (test drive, sales, purchase, and finance), everyone at Camelback Subaru listened to my needs and there were no pressure tactics. I was treated like a “VIP family member” – not just another potential customer. My experiences at the other competitor dealerships were not as enjoyable. It is important to note that during the on-going car-buying process with Todd (the Sales Consultant), the manager (Frank Galtieri) wanted to ensure that I was enjoying my experience by stopping by several times during my car buying process during his busy schedule, to ensure that I was happy and comfortable with my experience to include offering me water/coffee. With all of my previous new car-buying experiences for over 30 years, I explained to both Todd and Frank, that the “quality of the dealership service department” is very important to me. Although there are Subaru dealerships closer to my Mesa-AZ home, and because of my positive car-buying experiences at Camelback Subaru dealership, I plan to drive out of my way (26 miles from my home) to use Camelback Subaru’s Service Department to maintain my car assuming that their quality is representative to management and my car-buying process. After I completed the purchase, Todd spent over half-hour with me to familiarize me with the Outback applications and safety features. Todd continues to contact me to make sure that I am satisfied with my Subaru purchase. The VIP treatment that I received during my Camelback Subaru automobile purchase (from Sales, Management, and Finance) and follow-up satisfaction is “Outstanding”! I highly recommend Camelback Subaru to friends and family. Regards, Jim St Aubin More
Joseph helped me get out of my ‘18 lease and upgrade my Atlas for a ‘19 and get out my extra mileage issue. He was kind, personable and worked hard to get it done! Thanks Joe. The sales team (Tim and Ivan) was terrific and enjoyed working with them both. However, the day went sour once the manager stepped in! I had so hoped to avoid the ever present "Dealer Added Values" by purchasing a slightly used car. This was Not the case, after agreeing to the price for the used car, I was presented with a sales estimate sheet to sign, and there it was Over $3000 in dealer added options added on top of the price we just agreed too? I blew up and had to threaten to leave to get the manager to take off these fees. I'd ask, how can a dealership try and charge for these add-on's on a used car that was already once sold/leased ? This is truly double dipping and they should not be doing this to their customers. The final step was fairly straight forward and Tu made it clear an simple. A follow up on the dealer add on "Paint Protection for 5 years", the following day I noticed the hood and most horizontal surfaced had many small pimples (small peaks that felt rough, that made the paint less than perfect. It took most of the next day to clay bar the entire car to smooth the finish. So now more than ever I would never recommend anyone accept these kind of "Added Value" programs as I would like to see a rebate for whats left on this contract as I will never let them touch the finish on this car again. Hope this has some positive impact on future sales from this dealer (a copy of this review is being sent to Subaru of America. More

Limped it back in and they took another month to screw around with it. Charged 1200.00 for a transmission wire harness. Said it was fixed. Drove it off the lot and it stalled out in front of the dealership. Almost died as this was cutting across traffic on a left turn. A cop was there and stopped traffic and helped me push it back in. The service department's mouths were wide open apologetic and said oh we will fix this, we are so sorry. I say make sure I'm refunded as you didn't fix anything. Two days later, oh hey sorry. You need a new transmission for 6000. Oh and by the way we won't be refunding the worthless work we already did or crediting it towards the new transmission. As an aside I spent 2,500 on transmission repairs here 6 months ago. This all should have been covered under the prior work warranty. They never refunded it because they are crooks. I had it towed elsewhere and fixed for 300. Never go here. More
