HORRIBLE experience buying/shopping new car at Camelback Kia. They give car dealerships a bad name. Their competition accused them of “bait & switch”. I was negotiating online so have entire chat history Kia. They give car dealerships a bad name. Their competition accused them of “bait & switch”. I was negotiating online so have entire chat history to prove my negative experience is legitimate. After negotiating online and agreeing on OTD purchase price, they provided me a written quote. I responded within 1 hr that I’ll come in to secure the car. They then tell me that car has been sold. Salesman tells me he’ll find me he’ll find another car for me. So far a happy customer. Then the stalling and wasting of time starts. I’d continuously have to ask for status update over next 3+ weeks. I’ve been told: he is waiting on finance, ask me about insurance info, wait for next month for fresh paperwork, he see inventory but can’t write it up because no VIN assigned, etc. Tells me he can’t locate any car anywhere, etc. I found car at different dealership in town for him. He asked for VIN which I provided. He tells me there are 2 cars coming next month. Each time I press him to finalize the deal he tells me that’s cars been sold or “promised” to someone else. This dragged on for 3+ weeks until I demanded to talk to their sales director who basically tells me he will not honor the quote. He claimed the quote was VIN specific unwilling to give me same price for another same/equivalent car. Claimed I passed on the original quote so it’s my fault (even though I accepted within 1hr). After much discussion he is the one rejecting the offer. He will flat out not honor the price that was quoted on paper. 1. I think they should honor what the dealership quoted. 2. If they know they won’t honor the quote, just say so. Don’t drag me on for another 3+ weeks saying you’ll find me a new car if big boss never intended to sell me a car at that price. (Let me move on to my next dealership with best price). STAY AWAY FROM CAMELBACK HUNDAI/KIA to avoid disappointment and wasted time! Feel free to reach out for names of the sales person and sales director (big boss). More
Was looking to purchase from this dealership again, but apparently what turned out to be 2 unexpectedly busy weeks at work I was unable to connect with them instantly. We scheduled time to chat, I cleared apparently what turned out to be 2 unexpectedly busy weeks at work I was unable to connect with them instantly. We scheduled time to chat, I cleared my schedule and I did not receive a call. I sent a message letting them know I would be available the following day. After no call I sent a message thanking them for their time. I did have an other dealership who was available. the response from Camelback came across as angry, for no real reason. It’s a shame really because my first purchase there was a good experience. We are all busy folks and if I inconvenienced you as a customer, all I can say is life happens. Be nice to your customers. I took my 2009 Kia Sportage to Camelback Kia for factory recall issues, The appointment was setup and managed by Jimmy Rowe. The work took a little longer than the 3 hours he had estimated - not a problem, recall issues, The appointment was setup and managed by Jimmy Rowe. The work took a little longer than the 3 hours he had estimated - not a problem, but when he called to let me know it was ready, he also informed me that their shop had identified a couple of other problems, , and “did I want them to take care of them now.?” I told him I would consider it once I knew what the problems were. He informed me that the car had NO coolant in the system, and implied that it was urgent to address this issue right away. Also, he said, a problem with a control arm had been identified, and needed to be addressed.. I had driven the car extensively and had never seen any sign of it overheating. When I told Jimmy I would take the car home and look it over myself he reiterated that it was likely to overheat at any moment, and it was risky to drive it in that condition. As I drove away from the dealership I heard a warning beep of some kind repeating every 40 seconds or so - a sound I had never heard although I have owned the car for several years. I turned around and went back to the service department, where I told Jimmy about the warning beep I was hearing.. His immediate response was that the car was probably beeping because it was overheating (Although there was no overheating indicated anywhere on the dash) - and that “we probably can’t do anything about it”. Again, this sound had NEVER occurred before taking the car to the dealer that day, and to hear him say that they “probably couldn’t fix it”, before he even heard the sound I described made me question his attitude right away. It seemed obvious to me that they had done something which caused this warning sound to be activated. I invited him to listen and witness what I was talking about. . As soon as he opened the door he looked down and, under the dash he spotted a testing module of some kind which had been mistakenly left plugged into the wiring by the mechanic who had worked on the car. He removed it by simply unplugging it and was forced to admit that the WAS something they could do about it after all. He thanked me for bringing the test module back, and I left, shaking my head all the way home in response to his knee jerk response and attitude. Once home, I investigated the coolant in the car and discovered that, although the coolant RESERVE was low, the radiator was COMPLETELY FULL and that the car was never in danger of overheating, it just needed the reserve topped off. This made me resent even more the attitude Jimmy had displayed - as if I was foolish not to take his advice that the car was likely to overheat “at any moment”, and pay their shop to address the issue immediately. Knowing that the “big problem” he had informed me of was not even real makes me wonder if they even actually performed the recall repairs that they were supposed to do. The man was obviously trying to mislead me…and with an attitude about it, to boot. I would NEVER take my car to this place again, and would warn others (especially, senior's) To BEWARE THIS SHOP! If I could choose zero stars, I would. I had two safety recalls to be done on my Optima. I scheduled the appointment and when I arrived, I was told it would be “hours” to have the items I had two safety recalls to be done on my Optima. I scheduled the appointment and when I arrived, I was told it would be “hours” to have the items addressed. I asked if it would be 2 hours or 8 and was told probably 2.5 hours. So I decided to work while I waited for my car. At the 3 hour point, I inquired as to when I could expect the car. Staff went out to the bays where the car was being worked on. After about 20 minutes, I was told that they just got the car in and it they would do the work as quickly as possible. At the 4 hour mark, I inquired again. Again, staff went out to the bays, another 20 minutes later, I was told it would be another 30 minutes. 40 minutes later, I asked again where my car was - out to the bays staff went, then “another 5 minutes”, I was told. At 5 hours, and after throwing somewhat of a fit, the car was brought to me. I was offered a “free” oil change for the inconvenience. No, thank you. I was quickly ushered out to the car and sent on my way, only having me sign off on the paperwork. When I got to a place I could review the paperwork, I saw that a “Automobile Status Report” was attached (with the previous owner information included) and it stated in the “Multi-Point Inspection Form” that there were items needed to be performed on the vehicle that “Requires immediate attention”. I had my car in the shop 2 days before to have it summer-ized so I knew that their report was utter BS. Today, I received a notice from Kia in the mail stating the recall work has still not been done. I went onto the Kia website to confirm that this was the case. Sure enough, there was one item that is still not done. I plan to buy a Telluride soon, but I will never go back to this dealership for service and certainly not to buy anything. More

Cami definitely put in the work and wanted to sell the car. if i ever buy another Kia I make sure to contact Cami. When i was sent back to Finance, i ended up working with Jarvis. Jarvis was extremely nice and just wanted the best for the person he was helping. He got me in contact with a insurance broker for the car which helped me out a lot. i was definitely dreading the process, but both Cami and Jarvis got me through the process without any suffering. 10/10 will go through them again. He went through all my paper work in a timely manner and gave some really good advice on what I would need incase of future repairs, that would actually save me money ! I know it won’t be a while until I probably decide to trade in or exchange but I would definitely come back to Jarvis for any financial advice, and I will be recommending him to anyone looking to get an amazing deal !
