Sharing a recent experience at Hyundai Camelback for transparency. After my vehicle was inspected following an accident, communication from my service advisor, Travis, was limited and I had to repeat transparency. After my vehicle was inspected following an accident, communication from my service advisor, Travis, was limited and I had to repeatedly ask for basic updates on timeline and findings. I was told the damage appeared “extensive,” but without clear detail upfront. The shop later quoted approximately $6,600 for a full driver-side suspension replacement, along with additional components. Seeking a second opinion, I had the car inspected independently and was told only a single strut needed replacement, which cost about $200. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, I was informed of a $170 inspection charge. When I declined, Travis became noticeably unprofessional in tone and directed me to remove the car from the premises despite me arranging a tow. The interaction escalated until a manager stepped in and handled things more appropriately. My main concern is the lack of clear communication and professionalism during the process.
