I got a good deal on a car, but it isn't the deal that is the icing on the cake really. It's the service... - The purchase was far more drawn out than it needed to be (did it really... really need to be the icing on the cake really. It's the service... - The purchase was far more drawn out than it needed to be (did it really... really need to be a 9am-4pm drawn out hoopla?) - The sales pitch for the extended warranty in the "signing the papers" office made me wanted to pluck my eyes out with tweezers. - We had a get a car in a color other than our first choice because ordering one in our color choice would have been too hard is the impression I go. - NO ONE seems to communicate with anyone. It's like they do not have email, meetings or interoffice communications. They called us to ask if we were going to pay for our vehicle AFTER we already paid for it. This left a rather stale impression. - As long as you give them a 110% positive review on the email you get sent they do not care about anything. This made me feel awful and even a little bribed. I am regretting purchasing a vehicle here right now. I truly, truly wish we went to Honda, Toyota or even Chevy. I feel like our car is not what we truly wanted and we felt pressured due to rebates and incentives. Quite frankly, I did not care about those and just wanted to be 100% happy with our car because we are going to have it a LONG time which I cannot honestly say we are. Oh, and did I fail to mention how a lot of the employees backtalk other dealerships? This is not very professional in my opinion. Even after dropping a considerable sum of money on a car we still have to pay for a rental car when ours is in the shop. They regularly say they will issue us a dealer car with a dealer plate--but never do. While we are "happy" it is a sentence that goes something like this... "I am happy... BUT..." and it shouldn't have to include the other half. This was a huge purchase for us and one in which there should be no "but" in a sentence. From this point forward, we are going to go to another Ford dealership for service. I do not care even if it is a long drive or I have to wait in metal chairs. Also, they do not sell the Ford extended warranty (ESP), they sell a plan called MPP which is owned by their dealership (hint: more of a profit for them). The MPP is also more difficult for other Ford dealers to access. Additionally, the ESP plan (even the PREMIUM plan) costs $1000 less amounting to $50 less a month if financed. It also covers MORE with MORE mileage. Hmmm. Hard choice about canceling the MPP and going with the ESP at another dealership. Gosh, I had to debate that one (hint: sarcasm)... I am so sick of their sales pitches, shiny shoes, ties and bad/above me attitudes. I wanted to feel our money was appreciated and I cannot say it was. I just wish we were in a position to trade our car in at another dealership. Hey... I heard Showcase and Courtesy offer donuts and lids for their coffee--Ford does not. Just saying. More
This was the BEST buying experience I have ever had. I was treated with respect and courtesy. The overall process was quick and everything was explained to me in detail. I ordered the New Ford Explorer was treated with respect and courtesy. The overall process was quick and everything was explained to me in detail. I ordered the New Ford Explorer (BEST CAR EVER!!!) and after receiving it, someone was sent to my home to personally program my garage door and gate openers and to show me the SYNC capabilities. I will never buy from anyone other than Camelback ford again. Thank you Camelback Ford. More
I have now dealt with this dealership twice. Both times I have been looking at vehicles under 10k. This place comes off as the stereotypical sleazy used car dealership. They are VERY high pressure. When you have been looking at vehicles under 10k. This place comes off as the stereotypical sleazy used car dealership. They are VERY high pressure. When you are there you almost feel like you are being held prisoner until you give them money for a car. The first time I actually purchased a vehicle. I brought the vehicle back to them the day after taking it home because of a terrible noise coming from the rear of the car every time I braked or turned. At first they said that they would only fix things that were a safety issue. Eventually, after some arguing, they agreed to look at it. I sat and waited for hours while they supposedly looked at it. When they were finally finished they wouldn't tell me what they had done but just that it was fixed. It wasn't. It still made the noise. I took it to another mechanic who said they had to wipe A BUNCH OF WD-40 OFF THE BRAKES. That said, it turned out to be a good, mechanically sound vehicle. After that experience I swore to myself that I would never visit this dealership again but I was passing by and I figured, what the heck.. I'll just see what they have. NEVER again. I was shown a car that was practically falling apart and kept being told how well it was taken care of. I said I wouldn't put any money on it until I saw what it looked like after it had been through their shop and they said they needed money to fix it. They claimed it was a refundable deposit so they could fix it up but I wasn't having any of that. If you dare go to this dealership you can get a good deal but go prepared! More
By far the worst experience I have ever had with buying anything. The used salesmen acted like they had no idea what they were doing. They sold me a car with an aftermarket alarm system and did not have anything. The used salesmen acted like they had no idea what they were doing. They sold me a car with an aftermarket alarm system and did not have the keypad to operate it. Then when I tried to have them get me one, they made it seem like it was this huge deal for them to do it for me, and then they never did. So for the first month, my vehicle's alarm would go off every time I unlocked it, until I went and bought my own keypad. The worst part is the financing though. I dealt with a guy named Todd, who at first was very nice. I then went back to him to change a few things on the paperwork (I had disability and life coverage on it when I didn't need it because I have my own insurance). I tried to get a hold of him for weeks over the phone since I live about 2 hours away from the dealership. He never returned my calls and I had to eventually go out of my way to go in and cancel them. He told me that these cancellations should reflect my loan in about 6-8 weeks. That was about 3 and 1/2 months ago, and my loan has not gone down yet. I have been calling the dealership for about 2 months now (a couple times a week) trying to get a hold of Todd or anyone in the finance department, but still no luck. I have left multiple messages with Todd and with the finance director of the dealership, and still no one has called me back. It looks like I am going to have to go out of my way again and drive down there and I probably still won't get any answers. I cannot believe this place is still running. More
I am very cautious when shopping for a car. I'm 71 years old and feel wary about purchasing anything I don't understand. My salesperson, Troy, was very patient with me. I feel he actually listened to my nee old and feel wary about purchasing anything I don't understand. My salesperson, Troy, was very patient with me. On June of 2010 I purchased a 2010 Expedition Ford at Camelback Ford. I traded in a Chevrolet Silverado with the purchase and was told that if I filled out the customer survey that Scott Cocuzza, Manager Camelback Ford. I traded in a Chevrolet Silverado with the purchase and was told that if I filled out the customer survey that Scott Cocuzza, Manager would fill up my tank and give me free oil changes with a perfect score. Come to find out it took them more than 60 days to pay off my Silverado (trade in) and it hit and affected my credit score. I also gave a 500.00 cash down payment and gave them a 500.00 post dated check, which they proceeded to deposit the next day without my consent, when it was post dated for 1 1/2 from the contract date, which in turn hit my credit again and bounced my entire checking account. I spoke to Scott and he said to come back in and they would reimburse me all the fees, which took over 1 month to get the check for all the fees. Furthermore, this purchase transaction consisted of returning to the dealership 3 different times to resign the contract, because they kept changing things on the contract without my knowledge. On January 5, 2011 I went back to Camelback Ford to purchase a different vehicle. I purchased a 2010 Ford F-150 and they said that they would pay off my Expedition and give me a better deal. I realized that I was in over my head with my payment because my hours were decreased at work and my payment went up from $670 to $750. I went back in to trade this truck in because I had the inability to repay the loan with my decreased income and my expenses. So I called Juan, who was my sales representative for both car deals, to see what he could do for me. He said he would talk to his manager and call me back, which he didn't until week later, January 19. So I went in and spoke to Brent Clout, GM, and Scott Cocuzza,Manager, and Brian, Sales Manager. They said they would take care of it and understood. But, instead they said they could extend my first payment by another 45 days from February 19, which was the original first payment due date, and also mention without changing any of the loan terms. They said I needed to come back in with my survey completed with a perfect score and they would change this for me. I went back in to sign and said that the deal had already went through, and there was nothing I could do but they had changed my interest rate without telling me and also added a service and maintenance contract totaling over 3000.00 without my consent, my interest rate was increased by over 1.25% from the original contract dated 2 weeks before from 7.99% on January 5, to 9.29% on January 27. I called them back to find out why and dispute this and they said that there was nothing I could do because the loan had already went through. To this date, the Expedition Ford (trade in) still has not been paid off and I have a payment of $782.31. More
Contacted Juan via online shopping. He was very considerate in all ways. He made the buying process very easy and went out of his way to help me get an excellent price. I am a picky buyer. Do not p considerate in all ways. He made the buying process very easy and went out of his way to help me get an excellent price. I am a picky buyer. Do not put up with pressure selling and will terminate contact if I feel the seller is playing games. Juan did everything he said he would even though I was quite skeptical. I highly recommend him. Kevin took several hours to help me get acquainted with the "Sync" in my new car. Overall, this was unexpectedly one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I have ever had. More
my name is devin, i originally visited the dealership in september 2010. at first i dealt with ed savage. at first i didnt think much of him, i didnt dislike him but i could tell he was arrogant from the fi september 2010. at first i dealt with ed savage. at first i didnt think much of him, i didnt dislike him but i could tell he was arrogant from the first moment i met him. he was bragging about his product knowledge and was chewing dip which i thought was very unprofessional. when i told him i was just looking to get prices and information and wasnt ready to buy he all of the sudden changed his attitude towards me and acted like he didnt want to be around me, so he "to'd" to some other guy named dan(decesare). and let me tell you, dan isnt a very friendly individual either. i told him i was shopping around and hoping to get a great deal and he told me to "hope in one hand and s@#t in the other and see which one fills up faster" i was shocked by the unprofessionalism of both the gentlemen i had just talked to, so i got up and left. only problem i made the mistake of giving them my name and phone number. less than and hour later i recieved a call from one of the sales managers named jeremy ransom. he basically just asked me if i recieved the information i was looking for and if i was in the market, i then told him i wouldnt buy a car from that dealership unless the two gentlemen i spoke with were punished for their behavior and removed from recieving credit for the deal if i did end up buying there. of course he assured me yes and said they would be diciplined and possibly fired. almost 2 months later i decided to look around again and found something that caught my eye on camelback's website, it was an ad car for a 2010 focus for $12,790, and obviously when i got there they tried the bait and switch. they didnt have the ad car as promised(which scott and jeremy assured me they did when i called about it before) so as i was leaving i was walking outside and i saw dan and ed(the two meatheads from 2 months before) outside cutting up and talking about girls they've had sex with and "dogged on" etc. i went back in to tell jeremy that i didnt appreciate being lied to and that he should get rid of those idiots out front. he then asked me why i thought they were lying to me, i expressed that they were being dubious about the ad car, jeremy then tried to tell me that the ad car is like the "lochness monster", "everyone has heard about it but nobody has ever seen it" trying to be witty. i told him i will never buy from their dealership ever, even still he was trying to pressure me to stay. he was deaf earing me and being really pushy almost forcing me to stay it felt like. he then brought out the new car director named scott(cocuzza), he didnt say much other than "sorry we couldnt do anything for you and we appreciate you coming today", and gave me his card(which on the back it had dan decesare's number xxx?) so i then left and as i was walking toward the door i saw dan, ed, and jeremy outside the service area joking around, as i walked out the door i heard jeremy talking about the ad car joke he just told me. as i walked by i made a loud coughing noise and got his attention bc i knew he was talking about me. i didnt look over instead i just kept walking and i heard him get quiet and say "well guys lets go inside and sell some cars to some real customers" and both ed and dan started laughing, and when i looked over, they both stared away in different directions and got quiet again. THIS is the reason i decided not to buy at camelback ford and also to not buy from any store owned by van tuyl. van tuyl dealerships are filled with arrogant salesman and managers and there is blatant and obvious favoritism they give to certain sales reps. i guess if you sell cars and are the manager's friends you get to act and treat people how ever you want. The salesman and sales manager were very friendly and the finance manager was very patient. I felt like I received a fair price for the Edge and I was not under pressure to purchase this vehicle. Their follo finance manager was very patient. I felt like I received a fair price for the Edge and I was not under pressure to purchase this vehicle. Their followup concerning questions I had were very prompt and they took care of my concerns to my complete satisfaction. I would, without hesitation, purchase another car from Camelback ford. More
