A friend had bought numerous cars from Cambridge Honda and had good experiences; I have noticed online and in person that they have a broad selection of used cars, so when I was ready to buy a used car, I and had good experiences; I have noticed online and in person that they have a broad selection of used cars, so when I was ready to buy a used car, I decided to check out the dealership (late September 2010). I had previously visited other places where the "vibe" was really aggressively sales-oriented. In Cambridge, it wasn't like that. Senior Sales Consultant Bobby Boyd was sincere, laid-back, and friendly, and far from aggressive from the minute I walked in, late on a Sunday. He didn't rush me nor waste my time with hot air. He sincerely wanted to know what my goals were and to see if he/the dealership could meet them. I think that both of us would have walked away from attempting to make a deal if we couldn't find common ground. I had a great experience that combined responsive communication; efficient, well-documented, business-like negotiations; and quick resolution to come up with a car and a deal that I am very happy with. Finance Director Eric Cummings, a quick, funny guy, had the job of figuring out my financing and he accomplished this. Of course I didn't accept the first offer and did research independently (taking the time to check with banks, credit unions, AAA and my insurer) after Eric gave me his first bid (which was, to his credit, in writing). When I checked in a few days later, Eric's second offer was *by far* the best deal in the marketplace. He wanted my business and proved it by finding an exceptionally low interest rate for the loan. As for the dealership and its policies: I read the fine print! Bobby and Eric both patiently responded to my umpteen questions during preliminary discussions and later, about all the contracts even though their profit margin on my modest buy was not going to do much for their pay. We even worked out a detail (to my advantage) that I hadn't noticed until AFTER we signed contracts. Very nice. Sure, I wish that no one made any profit off of me, ever, and that I only paid the price of the car and that there were no fees for the loan. But it turns out that if you don't want to buy a car from some random guy on Craigslist, and if you don't have the cash to pay the whole car now, there IS overhead that dealerships and banks have to pay for somehow. At least the sales commission was specifically disclosed--it seemed fair to me; I did not feel like I got taken. The consumer's duty is to remember that the sellers are in business, for profit. So the buyer must do independent research to know what the marketplace has to offer and what s/he will accept. I don't know what other people expect from car dealers, but I found that Bobby, Eric, and the company they represent were ready and able to create a positive experience for a used car buyer. Bobby was particularly skilled and thoughtful. This was overall a great dealership to work with. When I need to buy another car--in 12 to 15 years thanks to Honda's durability!--I'll go back. In the meanwhile, I will recommend Bobby and Cambridge Honda to friends. More

Cambridge Honda treated me with superb professionalism during my purchase of a Honda Civic in March of 2010. They gave me a great deal, and addressed my concerns to my full satisfaction. They provided quality service and I didn't have to wait for long time. By the way, they provide a customer waiting area where I sat down, used their free wireless networking and did my work while waiting. This is very important to me because I don't want to make separate trips to drop off and pick up my vehicle. More

She was very patient throughout the time it took for me to make a decision - keeping in touch to answer questions, but not being pushy. Joanne was attentive and made the whole experience feel very comfortable. The car is beautiful - I'm very happy with my Honda Civic! I visited Cambridge Honda to purchase a vehicle. I had salesperson named Mr. Boyd that helped me. I was indecisive about what I should purchase. I was in between a honda civic or accord. He showed me both of the cars and we test drove them. He was very patient with me. He was also very knowledgeable and professional. I cant say enough GREAT things about my experience at Cambridge Honda. Joanne and the staff listened to all my needs. Just like most of america my credit was less than perfect, but they were able to wo Cambridge Honda. Joanne and the staff listened to all my needs. Just like most of america my credit was less than perfect, but they were able to work with me and my situation and secure a rate that was 1/3 of what I was paying on my current vehicle. They made this car shopping experience the best I have ever had, please take my advice and go in and at least talk to them. They are very understanding and truely care about the people that walk through the door. I love my Honda Odyssey and the experience that I had made me a Cambridge Honda customer for life.
