California Motors Direct is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever gone through. It’s been the worst nightmare I’ve ever had with a car and the buying experience. They tried to sneak unwanted c experience I’ve ever gone through. It’s been the worst nightmare I’ve ever had with a car and the buying experience. They tried to sneak unwanted charges onto the loan, such as an ELO tracking device for 495.00 which I didn’t ask for, nor want, and never removed it from my loan. They offered me one price for my trade in then put a lesser amount on the paperwork and refused to correct it on the loan. They sold me a vehicle that was damaged and claimed it was cosmetic and minor, then I later learned it was more than cosmetic, it was substantial damage to the frame of the car which would make the value less than what they sold it for. Their car report doesn’t have accurate information about the vehicle and its condition, nor current recalls. They do not service their vehicles, have no service records, and the vehicle they sold me was unfit and unsafe to be on the road. The vehicle I purchased had a major defect and they refused to offer to repair it. It should never been put on their lot for sale as it was very dangerous to drive. They sold it with this defective problem, knowing there were class actions, and recalls in this vehicle. If I could give them a negative one thousand rating I would. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. They also have five other dealerships in SoCal under different names and all have negative ratings and complaints about defective vehicles, unsafe vehicles, problems with the vehicle, etc, lawsuits, unethical business practice and I can’t even fathom why they are still in business. More
