I live 45 min. away from the dealer. I did not have alot of time to spend to purchase a new vehicle. I used the internet for initial contact and several questions. I new what car I wanted in advance plus options etc. Douglasville was the only dealer, even though they had 2 vehicles close to what I wanted but they were both out of my price range, be willing to try to locate or have me order a car that would fit my needs.I emailed 7 other dealerships with little or no response. Douglasville was able to locate 2 cars with exactly what I I needed. And 1 was still available when we made the deal. Jena Buie was very responsive,patient and anxious to have a satisfied customer if possible. She returned emails and phone calls promptly and kept in constant contact with me to let me know what was happening.I have not had the chance to meet her yet. When I asked for a drive out price she was able to provide that. Once settling on a price I was able to negotiate a fair trade-in price on my car. Her manager Cleveland Morton pitched in when Jena was not available to work out he final drive out numbers including trade. On Jena's day off Bion Grady assisted with all the paperwork,trade, and documents needed for financing and was very patient and helpful as we moved paperwork thru the process. I was late for my paperwork appointment and thus I was late finishing and had to leave at 3:30 without a vist to the finance person. I had to pick up my 2 teenagers @ 4 pm. Bion was very accomodating and had a loaner available and I got back to pick up my kids and got to work just 15 min. late. This is my 10th car purchased and I have seen it all both good, bad and the ugly where I walked out only to be called back etc. The folks were interested in helping me purchase what I needed the way I needed it done and fora fair price. I have made 1 trip and only need to make a 2nd trip to finalize the deal and that was my fault. They were patient,accomodating,fair with my needs and the needs of my family. It was well worth it to drive 45 minutes and have the great experience I had. I went to this Kia dealership on Tuesday Jan 12th 2012. I had already visited 4 other dealerships in Douglas County the day before (all on Thornton Rd.) Like many car buyers I was simply interest rate sho I had already visited 4 other dealerships in Douglas County the day before (all on Thornton Rd.) Like many car buyers I was simply interest rate shopping, and I had a fixed price of $14,000. They had a 2011 Kia Soul for $11,998, and of course they tried to get me into something more expensive, but after looking at 3 other vehicles, and being told that I couldbn't get the payment I was looking for (no interest rate clarification, no identification on finance companies, nothing) I decided to inquire about the Soul for $11,998....I asked, "what would the total be on that car if I brought a check from my bank?", response, "about $15,000." So I was facing $3100 in tax tag and title fees, but yet finacning that vehicle was going to cost me %20 interest (still no name on the finance company) and that my payment would be somewhere in the ballpark of $381 monthly for 72 months....so lets see here, $11,998 at %20 interest = $14,397, assuming I still had $3100 in tax tag and title fees, brings the total to $17,797 and change, divided by 72 = $243.02.....hmmmm either these guys didn't know how to work a calculator, or they just wanted to charge me $27,432 (72 months x $381 payments) for a car that stickered at almost one third that price. I am not saying don't go to this dealership, I am saying take your accountant, lawyer, and a scientific calculator with you.....oh and by the way I am a proud owner of a 2011 Kia Soul at %11.2 percent interest from another Kia dealership not far from Douglasville, and my payments are exactly what I wanted....$276.43 a month....interesting right?? Best car buying experience EVER. The sales force, particularly Fred Gambel, was a pleasant experience, and the dealership was open late, which met our needs, as a working couple. I had been searching for a car only a few months. I also had been on line looking at the Kia Optima, so I decided to take a trip to the dealership.
