I purchased a 2019 Lexus ES350 from them on 1/7/2023, and now it’s 2/8 and they still refused to send me the documents necessary to obtain the title. I tried multiple times in the past 2 weeks tried to get an official response from them but they kept playing the runaround game. Their finance department staff, Thomas Tang is rude and would not reply to emails and calls. It's been a full month now, my car remains unregistered and the title is unobtainable. This dealership is grossly mismanaged and needs to be avoided at all costs. Once you left their lot, you were on your own! More

My son purchased a car here about a year ago and has decided to sell his car. We have been trying for months to get the extra warranties refunded and keep getting the runaround. No matter who we talk to decided to sell his car. We have been trying for months to get the extra warranties refunded and keep getting the runaround. No matter who we talk to they either never answer the phone or if they do they give us some excuse. Honestly, we pretty much don't hear back at all. If you want to buy a car from a lot that only cares about selling you a car, this is the place for you. If you want good customer service after purchasing your car, go somewhere else. More
Sad to see the GM, Charles Brown, copy and paste a canned response. That shows very little concern for the customer. You should have called all of your customers that had Escalades on order. I didn’t receiv response. That shows very little concern for the customer. You should have called all of your customers that had Escalades on order. I didn’t receive anything from my salesperson, Nichole, either. Backstory: Ordered a 2022 Escalade from Cadillac of Portland in September 2021. Been waiting for months and haven’t received any updates from the dealership (unless I reach out to somebody first). I jumped on the Escalade internet forum today to discover that Cadillac of Portland will be cancelling all custom orders immediately. Instead, they’ll be placing their own orders which will allow them to add a huge market adjustment price of $15-20,000 over MSRP. A LOT of new and existing Cadillac customers are going to be impacted by their decision. So many of us have been waiting for months for our order to go into Production, only to find out we have to start the process over elsewhere. We will have to wait for over a year for our vehicles to be delivered to a trustworthy dealership because our new orders will go to the back of the Escalade build queue. Cadillac of Portland is going to try to make excuses for their behavior by claiming that build constraints are forcing their hand. Other honorable dealerships are working with their customers on custom orders during this difficult time and selling their vehicles at or below MSRP. Don’t be fooled, this is a money grab by Cadillac of Portland…plain and simple. I hope to see large # of customers take to the review section to voice their displeasure. This is definitely a poor way to build Cadillac’s brand. More
I had a horrible experience here at Cadillac of Portland in Oregon. I went in to order an escalade in mid-December and was told a time frame off about 4-6 months and was told I may take even longer and I wa in Oregon. I went in to order an escalade in mid-December and was told a time frame off about 4-6 months and was told I may take even longer and I was fine with that. Even though I placed an order they still charged a markup of $2,500 which I was willing to pay at the time just so I could get my hands on an escalade. So I put a deposit down for 3k for two escalades and signed off on the order. I kept in touch with the dealer and they kept telling me that it still hasn't gone into production yet. I thought sure that's fine, the chip issue must really be an issue, and plus my estimated delivery was around May-June ish. So fast forward to yesterday, February 23, 2022, I go ahead and call the dealer to check up on the status of the order. That is when they tell me they canceled all escalade orders and are not doing custom orders anymore to get around Cadillac constraints. They said no custom orders however the two escalades I ordered were completely stock, one was a base luxury and the other one was a sport with the onyx package. Keep in mind, we have done business with them for the past 7 years. Held two escalade leases with them and referred them to my uncle who also held 2 leases with them for a total of 7 years. On top of that, we bought a couple of vehicles from the dealer as well. Here is where it gets even more frustrating. So I ask the dealer how do I buy one then. He said we will only be selling cars off the lot and if you want one you can pay a 20k mark-up from stick price. I was so frustrated. I gave them a deposit and was willing to wait out just so I didn't have to pay an absurd amount for a mark-up. I wasted 3 months waiting in false hope while they held my money. I contacted a couple of dealers including the Lockhart Cadillac dealership in Indianapolis and they said expect to wait around 8-10 months now. I am so frustrated with the customer service they provided me even though I was a loyal customer. This just shows the greed. I would not advise anyone to do business with them as they have no care for loyal customers. Once again the reason they told me they canceled my order was because of constraints however the orders I gave them had no constraints at all. A base luxury escalade is as stock as it gets. When I asked them about that, they were quiet. Overall horrible experience. Zero care for customer service. If you are looking for an Escalade at MSRP and great customer service, I recommend Lockhart Cadillac in Indianapolis. More
Our buying experience at Cadillac of Portland met expectations but the finance department has been extremely unresponsive and has not followed through with their obligations. We decided to purcha expectations but the finance department has been extremely unresponsive and has not followed through with their obligations. We decided to purchase a vehicle for our son who is attending college in the state. We had researched the Portland area market prior to flying into town. The salesman was able to answer all our questions and we made a deal on a Friday evening. We were turned over to the finance manager (P.M.). We indicated that the vehicle was to be title in Iowa and asked if we could register the vehicle when we returned home. He indicated that they needed to take care of the registration. He had my wife and I sign a blank Iowa DOT Application for Certificate of Title and/or Registration form as well as other paperwork. We left for dinner with my son driving his new to him vehicle. At dinner, PM called and dropped by with a form that he had not printed for us to sign. The next day, PM called again indicating that we needed to return to the dealership to redo the Iowa DOT Application for Certificate of Title and/or Registration form. Near the end of August, I spoke with our county treasurer staff who indicated that they received and returned a grossly incomplete registration form in mid-August. Vehicle milage, bill of sale, damage disclosure form, dealership identification, and co-owner information was missing, and the accompanying check was filled out to the wrong party. Over the next few days, I left voice and text messages as well as emails with multiple return addresses. PM did not respond to any form of communication. In mid-September, I called and asked for PM's supervisor and had a discussion with DK. DK promised to investigate the status of the registration application and get back to me within a day. I have not heard back from DK or PM. It is now early October; my lender has requested that the vehicle title. I have spoken with the county treasurer indicated that they have not received an update form. The Cadillac of Portland finance department staff never answer the phone and have not return any forms of communications. More
82nd Ave car lot quality, right in the heart of the west hills. I'm a high volume car buyer, and there are dealerships that will wow you with how you're treated, going the extra mile to build a custom hills. I'm a high volume car buyer, and there are dealerships that will wow you with how you're treated, going the extra mile to build a customer for life. Cadillac of Portland is not that dealer. You might carry certain expectations with small car lots on 82nd Ave, with older cars, undisclosed problems dumped on unsuspecting buyers, and slight of hand business practices. In my experience, Cadillac of Portland is that type of dealer. Recently purchased a used Mercedes at their lot. At the end of the deal, after the paperwork was signed, "Oh by the way, this vehicle only has one key....." Whaaaat?!?! Why didn't you tell me that? That's a $400 bill I'm driving off here with and would have never bought this car at that price. "I'm so sorry for the miscommunication." No, there was no communication to begin with, lady. "How about a full tank of gas?" You already told me you were going to give me a full tank of gas......she stares back blankly. "Can I offer you a coupon for a free carwash?" Really? I'd say this is the type of place that would figuratively stab me in the back over a dollar, but I actually think they'd do it right into my chest, looking me deep into my eyes while they did it. So I left the lot taking an undisclosed hit of $400 to get a spare key made. Dealer later declined request to compensate me. Got home and the battery literally died after I pulled it into the driveway, a 14 mile drive from their lot. Certainly, it must just need a charge. Nope, 5 year old battery dead as a doornail. According to the carfax - they knew the battery was toast and gave it one last hard charge right before sending it out the door. I expect things like - having known problems dumped on me so the dealer can save $200 - from cheap car lots on the other side of Portland - apparently this corporate dealership is no different. They seem happy to nickle and dime their repairs so long as they can get the car off their lot - let's make our problem the customers. Dealer later declined request to compensate me for the battery. I've seen other folks here praise Corey the finance manager. Man, that guy was a snake. First quoted $4k for a ONE year warranty and when I laughed they suddenly found another option for $3k for a 3 year warranty. I passed again, and the rest of the transaction was littered with little manipulative comments to try to scare me into purchasing a warranty from them. Give me a break. I felt like I had to take a shower after being in the room with him for 20 minutes. I can go on: rock chips hidden by colored wax, lost paperwork, calls not returned, late license / title --> expired permits. But I think you get the idea. Steer clear of this place with all you have. I know I will. More
