Took my ELR in for service. Charging port recept. needed to be replaced. I found a YouTube video for the job. 30 minutes. $86.00 part. Dealership is charging me $1140 Charging port recept. needed to be replaced. I found a YouTube video for the job. 30 minutes. $86.00 part. Dealership is charging me $1140.00. Most of the cost is for 6 hours labor. Also, very rude people to deal with. More
DECEPTIVE DEALERSHIP AND DISAPPOINTING INTERACTION It's been 3 months since I purchased a used vehicle from Cadillac of Novi. The "change oil" warning light was on. The salesperson INTERACTION It's been 3 months since I purchased a used vehicle from Cadillac of Novi. The "change oil" warning light was on. The salesperson assured me the oil was changed, but the mechanic did not reset the indicator. In fact, the salesperson told me a "pre-sale check-up" is completed before a car is sold. On my way home, the passenger side tail light stopped working, the license plate lights were not working & the speedometer was incorrect. A more knowledgeable friend commented that the back bumper had been repainted. Hmmm. A clean Carfax but a repainted bumper? Faulty rear light bulbs? (electrical connector was broken) Wrong tire size? (resulting in the speedometer issue) A mechanic that "forgets" to reset the oil warning light? When I contacted the salesperson and his manager, I was told there was nothing they could do. However, after multiple emails and phone calls, the dealership agreed to pay for new light bulbs and the correct tires. My gripes: (1) The dealership DID NOT DISCLOSE a possible collision! (2) The dealership reimbursed me for the light bulbs and tires. LITERALLY! They chose NOT TO PAY for the labor to install them! (3) Given all that happened, SHOULD I BELIEVE that their mechanic performed the "pre-sale check-up" (including an oil change) as I was told? (4, 5, 6) If I was YOUNGER or a DIFFERENT GENDER or an IN-STATE CUSTOMER, would this be the situation? Sadly, the salesperson continues to ignore my attempt to resolve this situation. I'm out $2245 for labor, an oil change and a check-up. The dealership could have gotten a good review. Instead, they get this one. If only a few people choose to PURCHASE THEIR CAR AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, the time and effort to write this review would have been worth it. More
