Bait and switch Typical car buying experience!. Buyer beware. My wife and I purchased a 2017 XTS from Cadillac of Norwood and we're not impressed with the negotiation Typical car buying experience!. Buyer beware. My wife and I purchased a 2017 XTS from Cadillac of Norwood and we're not impressed with the negotiations. We agreed on the term and monthly payment with the Salesman. The fun began when we went in front of George in the Finance Dept. and he tried to raise our monthly payment by $20 per month!. I immediately responded that I was not going to play his game! . He looked very surprised and said " what game"! . I have purchased many cars in my life and I love when the " bait and switch" is tried on me. I told him that I wanted my down payment back and I would take my business elsewhere if he didn't come in with the agreed upon price I had from my Salesman. He then had to go see the GM and blamed the sales department for the mistake. Thankfully I did receive the agreed upon price and I don't have to bring my caddy for service at Norwood as I live in RI. Sad knowing people give into this tactic! More
Condescending Joe Wilkerson. Don't deal with him. Spoke to two sales associates that did a good job but when it came to the "dealer manager" Joe Wilkerson I saw how things really work. This dealersh Spoke to two sales associates that did a good job but when it came to the "dealer manager" Joe Wilkerson I saw how things really work. This dealership prides itself on having good prices. The motto for haggling is "We deal in hundreds not thousands." Both salesmen said this to me. This is not true... within 15 minutes I had one salesman down a thousand dollars on a 2017 used Escalade ESV. Not a cheap vehicle. I have been looking for a vehicle like this one for a month. When one comes up for a good price it sells quickly. I am only able to get to these vehicles on the weekends due to working long hours during the week. This vehicle had been sitting on their lot for 2.5 months, so I know that it wasn't a great deal or it would have sold. I had told the salesman that I was traveling a good distance from out of state so I wanted to make a good deal if I was going to travel so far. While on the phone I could hear his "manager" Joe Wilkerson saying that if our price wasn't that good why didn't he buy something local where he lives.... in a CONDESCENDING voice. When I hung up on them he called back and just dug a deeper hole by getting mad at me for knowing my numbers on this car. He must think that we are all idiots and there aren't any other Cadillac dealers in the world. Buying a car is a symbiotic relationship. Both parties should be happy about the deal they make. Joe must have thought he had the upper hand. Well guess what.... I have my money in my bank account and not yours!!! I will be happy to give another dealership $70k. I also learned another saying is true. The customer is always right. You know how I know.... today they listed that ESV for the price I was trying to get to last night. Maybe now it might sell...if Joe isn't involved with the sale. The moral of my story is know your numbers!!! All prices are negotiable at any dealership. Joe will TRY TO TRICK YOU into thinking he has the best price on the eastern seaboard. He doesn't. Joe Wilkerson.... I only ask that next time, you will remember that competition is what make businesses better. You are not the only game in town. I hope the new owner expresses that to you in your customer service meetings or quota meetings. You are now down one customer and still have a car taking up space on your lot. I gave this dealership two stars... one for Al and one for Elio. They at least tried to help but a salesperson is always at the mercy of their manager. More

Buyer/Consumer Beware BUYER/CONSUMER BEWARE I have had the MA Inspection performed on my auto several times in the past 10 yrs at this dealership. I am very familiar with BUYER/CONSUMER BEWARE I have had the MA Inspection performed on my auto several times in the past 10 yrs at this dealership. I am very familiar with the mechanics of autos in and out. Most recently, I spoke to Paul Treseler (Service Consultant) about service to my auto that wasn't needed and the cost. I was told that the tech said so, and there was no record of previous service(s) in the system. When I returned days later after getting repairs done elsewhere, I was greeted with attitude and told another service station did not properly service my auto. The last repair needed to be done, was assigned to this dealership. Prior to it being done, I was told it would take a minimum of 2 hrs @ $150.00 an hr to diagnose the issue(s). My auto sat in my view for 40 mins at the end of it being diagnosed, before I was spoken with. I was then told that a part (no-refundable) part needed to be ordered that day and a suggestion was made that the auto stay at the dealership until part was received. I declined leaving the auto, due to it was the weekend and it was going to cost yet another $150.00, just to put the part in and I had several days before re-inspection expired. When asked about the part, then came a lot of mumble fast talk, but the price of the part was clear. I felt compelled to order part and see repair to the end seeing as it was costing me $300.00, taking or leaving auto. An appointment was made next business day (service dept.). When I returned for the part to be installed, I arrived 10 mins early, auto was not moved from time of appointment for 15 mins. So many cars in service intake area, they couldn't be moved. I walked in the customer waiting area and found it full of mature/elderly adults asking/complaining about the cost of service. And feeling compelled to pay such as I. I waited the release of my auto for an 1 1/2, 10 mins, I saw it unattended. When I questioned why it still had a rejection sticker, I was told, I had to take it back to where I got it inspected. I had to remind Paul Treseler (Service Consultant) I remined him of the service(s) being performed today and the paperwork he insisted I sign before service was performed sitting in front of him stated such. Another 30 mins for re-inspection to be done, that had already been done that prior Friday. Little over 2 hrs to install a part that I now know it should have taken 15-20, scrap off old sticker, replace with valid sticker, done. If you have an mature/elderly loved one, or know someone that you can offer assistance to, that is seeking service from this dealership, accompany them so they have a full understanding of what they are paying for and why. Both were very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. They tried very hard to make the experience pleasurable. I believe I received a fair price for my trade in and also a good price for the new car. Since it was late in the day when the transaction took place, my insurance company was unable to get their paperwork completed in time for my to take the new car home. So the dealer offered to loan me another car to drive home and are going to deliver the new car to me, the next day. The kicker here is that I live on Cape Cod! That's about 80 miles from the dealership. This kind of customer service really impressed me and I'm sure would not be equaled by your typical car dealer. Nice job guys! More

The salesman Jerry L. was accomodating, knowledgeable and just a general nice guy. He spent several hours with us while I agonized whether to purchase a new XT5 Premium or a slightly used 2016 Yukon Denali. Coming from a Chevy Avalnche, I opted for the Yukon. (I thought I wanted a smaller vehcile. LOL) Everyone at this dealership was fantastic, no hard upsell on anything. The Business Manager was pleasure to deal with and very professional. I bought the vehcle for a fair price, got a good financing rate and left a happy customer. There were no games just a fair honest deal. Jerry delivered the vehicle to me today and I could not be happier. Both my husband and I work in the automotive industry and I will never go any where else to buy a vehicle. I just recommended Jerry and this dealership to my sister in law. More

Awful service department. I brought my wife's cadilac esv platinum to this dealership the truck was still under factory warranty I brought it in 2 times for a faulty parking se I brought my wife's cadilac esv platinum to this dealership the truck was still under factory warranty I brought it in 2 times for a faulty parking sensors they told me if they were working intermittently they could not replace. 1 month after the car was out of warranty the same issue came up I brought the car to them for the 3rd time in a matter of 4 months and they said my sensors were fried and I had to pay because it was out of warranty. I spoke to the manager Peter and he told me there was nothing they could do because it was out of warranty even though it was documented that I brought the car in while warranteed two prior times. I paid and left very unhappy. Recently I bought my 17 year old son a cadilac cts for his birthday because we love american cars more specifically the cadilac brand. The same exact thing happens last week. I brought his car in for a faulty tire sensor that would go on and off and they told me they couldn't replace I told them the car has 49800 miles please replace the tire sensors I don't want the same thing to happen as what occurred with my wifes I was basically shown the door and nothing was done. Now the car is out of warranty and the sensor is completely broken. It's sad that I spent a good amount of money and received service that is unbefiting a prestigious car company as cadilac. Sal N. Peter you know who I am and I'm really disappointed. More
