I wish I had found this review site rather than depend on the Google reviews. The sales person was a nice kid but that's probably how they get you in. I test drove a Kia Niro on a Saturday and was there f the Google reviews. The sales person was a nice kid but that's probably how they get you in. I test drove a Kia Niro on a Saturday and was there for 2 hours initially negotiating. I was very careful to decline all the add-ons except for the anti-theft as I had concerns about recent Kia thefts. I had other test drive appointments that day but was continually asked how they could get me in the car that day. Expected but I started to feel like a hostage. Eventually left to discuss the vehicle with my spouse over lunch. I liked the vehicle enough so I called to let them know I would purchase and they asked if I could come back in that day. I went back to the dealership at 5:00pm to finalize negotiations and purchase. I was there until 8:30 waiting to meet with financing. Rarely did anyone come to check on me and my phone eventually died. Finally met with financing and was shown the maintenance/extended warranty plans and was told "It's only $20 dollars more a month" added to my lease to do the standard package. I thought it would be beneficial for the anti-theft component and could afford the extra $20 a month so I agreed to it. Also if "I agreed to it", my APR would be at a 6.1% vs. a 6.9%. After signing all the documents digitally, going home and speaking with my spouse I came to realize my monthly payment was almost $150 more than what it should be. My fault for not reading the entire contract on an uncomfortable, glarey, table-sized screen while hungry, tired and without a phone or calculator. The total "standard" package was approximately $6,000 added on to the final price of the vehicle. That doesn't sound like $20 more a month to you does it? Unfortunately, I had signed everything and my only recourse now is to cancel one of the maintenance contracts. Worse buying experience ever - made me feel like an absolute moron for how I got hosed. All the reviews about misleading advertised pricing are absolutely correct. I came in due to a price posted on Carfax. I don't finance cars and pay cash, so it's impossible to hide things inside a financ absolutely correct. I came in due to a price posted on Carfax. I don't finance cars and pay cash, so it's impossible to hide things inside a finance agreement. They initially tried to sell it for around 15k more than I expected. When I saw all the add ons,I saw why. I was there for over an hour after the test drive and we were still 10k apart. The salesperson asked me what I expected to pay and I told him I wanted to pay the advertised price minus my trade, not one dime more. I have bought four other cars in this manner before and have never experienced this. The dealer lists a price, I negotiate this and pay for it. After more than an hour and still being 10k apart, he went out to "talk to his manager" one more time. I ghosted him at this point and now he has called or texted about ten times to get me back in to "make it right." More
If I could give a 0 star review I would. This is a long post but it is worth the read. I recently left an updated review about cable dahmer kia. I truly didn’t believe that the customer This is a long post but it is worth the read. I recently left an updated review about cable dahmer kia. I truly didn’t believe that the customer service could be worse than it already was. However, I’ve been proven wrong. My husband and I got a Kia K5 back in November. Since having the car we have had multiple issues with the financing department (see previous review). Today, I was informed by my husband that someone from the financing team called our friend and told him that we would need to resign the financing documents for the 5th time now. I find it absolutely disturbing and so so unprofessional that the financing team called a friend of ours instead of us. That is personal information and it shouldn’t be shared with anyone but us. Also, we have reached out to the manager of the financing team looking for information on how to make a payment on the car and how we can cancel the warranty. He has not reached back out to us and it has been a couple of weeks. But when he needed us to sign the same documents 4 times in a row because he kept making errors, we heard from him at all times of the day via call and text. But now that we need something we can’t even get a response. We have tried multiple times to reach out to the GM and express our concerns and we never get and answer or call back. Kia’s excuse for us having to sign the documents for a 5th time now is that the leap year messed up their system. That is the worst excuse I have ever heard in my life. Once this is all taken care of I will never step foot in a Kia dealership again. They are very unprofessional and down right not good at their jobs. There is no excuse for this situation. If anyone is looking to purchase a new car I promise you will find better service literally anywhere else. PS, I highly recommend looking at other sites for reviews on this delearship because every other site I have looked at has had lower reviews than Google. More

What can you say? They're car dealers. This one doesn't disappoint if you're looking for a typical swindling-lying-dealer experience. The sales guy, Ricky, is a n They're car dealers. This one doesn't disappoint if you're looking for a typical swindling-lying-dealer experience. The sales guy, Ricky, is a nice kid. I liked him and he did his job well, but he's being trained by dishonest people. He's new to the dealership and should leave the industry immediately before he become a soulless, money-grubbing vessel, like most all other lying car salesmen. I'm just not sure how they sleep at night. I purchased a slightly used Mazda that I found on CarMax. The car seemed to have mechanical issues once I got it home, so I took it back to Cable-Dahmer a few days later. They looked at it and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it...to take it to a Mazda dealer who better understands its mechanics. Okay. I get that, but do I want to deal with fixing a car that I just spent $25k on? But Cable-Dahmer does have that return policy option! Woo-hoo, right? Not so fast. With this exchange option, you have to purchase a car of the same or greater value and only from the Cable Dahmer that you purchased the original car from. Not ideal, but I doable, even if I have to pay a tad more. I understand that they have to have limitations. So, I find a Subaru online before I even go back out to the dealership. It's $5,000 more than the Mazda I'm giving back. And its still under the manufacturers bumper-to-bumper warranty. So, "Great", I thought, "I can cancel that expensive extended warranty within the 30 day period allowed." An extended warranty that I had to negotiate the price, which is insane to me. The price should be the price; however, that's another topic. But now that I didn't have any bargaining power, they raised the price of the Subaru to more than the advertised price, to include options that I didn't want or ask for! Like a coating and some other nonsense that I didn't want (ie SWAT tracking and some protection coatings that, mind you, was already on the car at the price they'd had on line.) They said they couldn't sell me the car by refunding the amount I paid for the Mazda and adding in the additional of the advertised price! The reason...because they had given me such a great trade-in amount only for buying the Mazda! What an obvious lie, right? Would almost be funny, if it wasn't so gross. I managed talked them out of forcing me into buying one of those additional options, but I was so worn down, that I just complied and purchased one of the packages because I wanted out of there, away from the dirty business. And the "administrative fee",$565, I had to pay again for the swap! I didn't even want to finance the car, but I was told I had to in order to get one of the offerings of $1000 off and I have to keep the loan active for a few months, then I could pay it off later. I contacted Wells-Fargo and they said I can pay it off now without penalty and no obligation to keep it for any amount of time. Oh the lies! And last, I can't stress enough the pressure that you are under when you go to finance. I was told that there's not a lot of money in the car business (haha) and that most of their money comes from the extras. Also that my manufacturer's 3 year 36 month warranty was really only good for 1 year and 10k miles, but that the dealers "just don't tell you that". I knew better, but I bought the extended warranty again just to get away from the pressure, knowing I could cancel later. And I have. Furthermore, I don't know if Cable Dahmer knew or not, but the previous owner also had purchased an additional 1 year transferable (to me) bumper-to-bumper from Subaru, come to find out today! I've never had the pressure of being interrogated by the law, but I imagine the pressure you get to buy all the "extras" with Cable-Dahmer is similar. They will keep you there FOREVER and then wear you down to the point that you are ready to collapse. It's awful! I'm surprised they don't have a glaring light in the face during finance! You've been warned! More
Would not purchase a vehicle here again. Worked with Tim to purchase the car. They had the wrong car at the dealership. (Same make model and color) but the year was different and not all wheel drive. Bait and switch maybe? Finally the right car, but the car was super dirty. I went ahead and made the purchase while they cleaned the car. The car was covered in scratches and they also changed the price on the financing documents. I also am trying to get a the service contract canceled as I am moving out of the area. I have asked many times for the finance manager to call me or email me. This has been going on for about 1 month and still no luck. Unfortunately that seems to be how dealerships are now, once the purchase is done and their commission is made they no longer care about their customers. More

This is the most pathetic excuse of a dealership I have ever been to, from adding extra addons and packages, lying about car history, unrealistic price markups and wasting hours and hours of my time from d ever been to, from adding extra addons and packages, lying about car history, unrealistic price markups and wasting hours and hours of my time from driving back and forth for things that should have been completed and spending hours and hours on the phone trying to remediate this. We ended up having to trade the car back in and go elsewhere. It took 3 months to get it straightened out and hundreds of hours of my time that I will never get back. Do yourself a favor or don't waste any of your time or money and just go somewhere else. If you really want a Kia, go to Bob Sight Independence Kia. The salesman took forever and was pushy and secretive of the cars history, add ons and our trade in price. The finance manager was arrogant and extremely rude. And the management is of little or no help. I wish I could give so many negative stars. This place is the epitome of everything you don't want to see in a dealership. Shady and corrupt and only after your money. Again, save yourself the time, money and hassle and look elsewhere. More
Let me start by saying I let my guard down because they assured me many times that they'd take care of me since I was a referral. Even went as far as to act like they cared that I was a widow with kids an assured me many times that they'd take care of me since I was a referral. Even went as far as to act like they cared that I was a widow with kids and that they had my best interests in mind. I spent over 4 hours at the dealership. During negotiations I was told that they add 3M to every car but I was expected to pay for it. I chose to just accept that because they didn't seem like that was something they'd budge on. But then I was told they include a warranty to supplement the original kia warranty so I could take advantage of the rest of the original warranty. This was never posed as a question as to whether I wanted it so I assumed this was something the dealership just provided... not that I'd be charged $2k for it. While meeting with the finance guy, Dalton, he tried to sell me an extended warranty. I told him numerous times (to the point I was getting irritated) that I did not want the extended warranty. All paperwork was signed electronically. I was not given the chance to read thru any paperwork so I just trusted what Dalton was telling me I was signing. (In hindsight that was a big mistake) When I left the dealership I had zero paperwork. I never saw a breakdown of prices. I never saw what my total was. I was just told what my monthly payment would be. Over 3 weeks after I purchased my vehicle I finally received the title, bill of sale, and the vehicle buyers order in the mail but still have never received a copy of any of the paperwork that I signed. When I received the bill of sale I noticed the sale price and that it was about $4k higher than the price of the vehicle listed on the website so I called to inquire. 1 week after I called I finally was able to get ahold of someone only to be told that the warranty they include on all vehicles is actually something they charged me $2k for and that extended warranty that I denied numerous times was in fact added on as well. Upon talking to Dalton and my salesman, Amid, I was met with quite a bit of gaslighting. Especially from Dalton who tried to say that I had changed my mind on the extended warranty (which is not true because my mechanic doesn't even file those so it's worthless to me). Overall this has been the worst buying experience I have ever had and this is my 8th car that I've purchased from a dealership. Definitely seems like this dealership is all about getting money vs actually taking care of their buyers. Even if I cancel the warranties at this point I assume I will still be paying sales tax on those items since they were included in the sales price. I hope these guys sleep well at night knowing they screwed over a widowed mom of 5 kids. More
