We were told we would receive a free oil change when we bought the car . Called to schedule it when the dash light said to . Upon calling them they said the offer had expired . It was the first scheduled o bought the car . Called to schedule it when the dash light said to . Upon calling them they said the offer had expired . It was the first scheduled oil change . Dishonest, deceitful, and not what you expect from a business in the Midwest. I found a GMC Yukon XL Denali on the website. The price on the website said and still says MSRP + a $5,000.00 market adjustm business in the Midwest. I found a GMC Yukon XL Denali on the website. The price on the website said and still says MSRP + a $5,000.00 market adjustment. Which I am fine paying due to the current supply issues. I called the dealership to get the details, confirm availability and double check the price. After talking to a salesperson named Jocelyn, she vocally confirmed all the above and the price. Here is the exact text that she sent: “Hello Ryan, this is Jocelyn at Cable Dahmer Buick GMC in Independence. I’m going to send over the specs on Yukon XL and the market base adjustment is going to be $5,000.” She then sent the exact spec sheet. I reply “I’ll take it”. 15 minutes later she calls and says the market adjustment price is actually $10,000.00 not $5,000.00 I then tell Jocelyn I will not pay $10,000.00 more because we had a deal at $5,000.00 more than MSRP. I then spoke with a manager named Mike and he would not honor the original deal either. Not a company I want any of my family or friends to do business with. More
Had my 2016 chevy in for service and was told brake vacumn pump needed replaced and would cost $850.00, they didn't indicate that it was under warranty, i declined fixing it then, and later had it at a vacumn pump needed replaced and would cost $850.00, they didn't indicate that it was under warranty, i declined fixing it then, and later had it at another chevy dealer who said it was under warranty and zero cost to replace...so i said something to service manager who basically blew me off. I will never buy from CableDahmer again. More
I waited a few months before typing this up, in hopes my temper would cool off. It hasn't. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the individuals that worked with me, so my ratings in the individual per temper would cool off. It hasn't. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the individuals that worked with me, so my ratings in the individual personnel area might not be correct. I didn't recognize the names/pictures provided on this sight, so I'm using the name that looks most familiar from their website. This dealership will not see a dime from me ever again. I probably won't ever buy a Chevy car again, from any dealership. Their service department is horrendous. I dropped off my car, on labor day. It was riding rough, my clock kept resetting, and my GPS was way off. I didn't have a reservation, so I understand they wouldn't be able to get to my car right away. They say they called me, after about 2 weeks, but I didn't have any messages on my end. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though and blame that one on Verizon. However I called them that next weekend, and was told that the mechanic working on my vehicle doesn't work weekends and nobody in the shop had yet looked at my car. I call back the next friday, I figured if nobody at looked yet I needed to give them a couple days, but if my mechanic didn't work weekends I figured I need to at least check on a time line from him before he was gone for the weekend) When I called I learned that he left early that day, and was told he was scheduled to look at my car on monday, and that he would call me on monday. (which, if he really messaged me at two weeks what were these other people talking about?) Monday comes and passes with no call, so afterwork I come into the store on Tuesday. He tells me he's been waiting for me to respond to his message, that the battery was bad and the engine coils need to be replaced. I'm pretty upset at this point, because the clear miscommunication going on, but I figure at least we have a plan, work is getting done, and its probably not all this person's fault. It could be the two different people I called were misinformed. I tell him to go ahead and replace the coils, but the battery was brand new and under warranty, so I would take it back to O'reilly and get them to replace it. After some days pass they call me to let me know that they finished working on my engine coils and put in the new battery, but that one of their porters BACKED INTO MY CAR. They went on to say that they took my car to their body shop, and because of some minor cosmetic wear and tear that was also going to be replaced with my new bumper, that my car would look better than before. I didn't feel very reassured. I told them I would come in to talk to them about it afterwork. My car has been in this shop for about a month now overall, mostly because of lack of communication, but now they've damaged my vehicle as well. When I come in, they offer me a loaner vehicle. This is not an adequate substitute to driving MY car, and I tell them this. They direct me to the manager. At first the manager tries to play it off as no big deal, "they didn't real hit my car that badly, its probably only cosmetic, I should be grateful" kind of stuff. Enitirely disrespectful. Eventually he offers me a free oil change, this also wasn't satisfactory as I didn't need an oil change, and wouldn't need one for another 20 months, but Its clear they are giving me any other choices. In hindsight, I wish I had refused their repair, taken it to another shop, then sued them for the cost of damages. Finally my car is "finished", they have the new battery in, they have the coils replaced, they've fixed the damage they added on, and they said it runs smoothly now. I come in to pick up my car; the bill was more than I thought they had told me originally, but once again I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was just so excited to get MY car back after over a month in the shop. I pay, I get my keys, I sit down in my car and surprise they only fixed one of the three issues I brought it in for. I thought the battery replacement was why the console/clock was resetting every time I turned the car on and why the GPS wasn't working properly. I went back in to ask them about it. He said I never told them I wanted that fixed. I told him I definitely did, and I wanted him to take the car back and finish the job. He told me since I didn't get a reservation, I would have to start my wait all over again, and it would be a new diagnostic fee as well... That's when I finally gave up on Cable Dahmer. More
On October 9, 2021 I came in to buy a used 2021 Toyota Corolla. I drove the car and liked it. It was advertised for 21000.00. So I decided to purchase it. When I got to the finance department. Some how t Corolla. I drove the car and liked it. It was advertised for 21000.00. So I decided to purchase it. When I got to the finance department. Some how the got me to sign for a bunch of add ons. The items that they added are as follows. Maintenance 399.00, Highway Package 4950.00 Swat 998.00 Finishing Touch 998.00, Mechanical Repair agreement 3399.00, and 3m/Nitro of 998.00 for a total of 10744.00. They also changed the price from 21000 to 23000.( they said it was because I was did not have a trade. I did sign for these items but I didnt understand what they were. When I was done signing, they would not give me copies of what I signed. All they would give me was a flash drive with the paper work files on it. I had no ideal how to view so I took to a friends house on October 10 and he opened and printed all the files. That when I realized all the stuff that was added on. The total of the car now was 35139.00. I had not picked up the car so on October 11, I went back and told them that since I havent picked up the car , I wanted my down payment back and did not want to purchase since in my opinion it was obvious they were ripping me off. I am retired and on a fixed income and havent purchased a car in over 10 years. They would not help me at all. I left and came back with the friend that helped me open all their files and after and hour or so of him talking to the used car sales manager he said that I cant get out of purchasing the car, but he was willing to take off most of the add ons that was on the contract. The only one that they would not take off was the 3m/Nitro. So I went back to finance and they gave me a new contract. When I came back a couple of hours later to pick it up the sales man (Leandro Bess) was very rude to me. He handed me the keys and walked away. Now its been over 3 weeks and they still havent sent the correct new contract. They have sent the incorrect one three time to my bank. I have been in touch with US Bank daily. In my opinion, what they did and are still doing is elder abuse. I will tell anyone who I come in contact with , how they treated me. More
Horrible experience. Went in for a car. Found one, I was Horrible experience. Went in for a car. Found one, I was told I was approved. Drove a nearly brand new car off the lot. 3 days later I received a ca Horrible experience. Went in for a car. Found one, I was told I was approved. Drove a nearly brand new car off the lot. 3 days later I received a call from the sketchy salesman telling me I have to return the car because I was not actually approved. So this guy, Mike Hooper(Mr 25 years at the dealership and talks about random personal issues)lied straight to my face. Now I'm needing to return the car and have no way of getting back home because my husband and mother in law took the day off that day to go with me to get a car AND IM PREGNANT. Instead of lying, I would have appreciated the truth. Is it really that difficult to tell someone that they weren't approved or what? Or would it have been hard to tell me to wait a few days for an actual answer regarding being approved or not?? It would have caused me less pain and trouble. BE HONEST!!! Oh and I would love to know who's paying my Uber so I'm able to SAFELY get back home. It's not fair that I ask my family to take another day off, seeing as how I was lied to. So If anyone wants to be manipulated and lied to, I suggest going to this dealership! More
Sterling block was one of the best salesman to work, even traveled to other dealership to help me out. It was his manager Mathew kowalski that failed him and myself. By far the shadiest and worst experience traveled to other dealership to help me out. It was his manager Mathew kowalski that failed him and myself. By far the shadiest and worst experience I’ve ever had in a dealership. The managers took over and changed numbers, adding money to deal and thought we wouldn’t notice. Lied about why fees were what such as taxes being doubled when I showed back up next day to sign. Then to my face said if I didn’t like it that I could walk out and he would sell to someone he could actually make $8000 on. Dont buy from these guys, they make it sound like it’s a great deal when in reality they are hiding things all over the deal. BEWARE! The only reason they are even getting one star is because sterling was so helpful and knowledgeable. We went back to his dealership and the GM of that store is working his hardest to acquire the truck I was supposed to get but that probably won’t happen because the original dealers we went to won’t dealer trade the truck because they rather rip somebody else off. I don’t usually write reviews and work and the sales department myself but this is seriously something that shouldn’t happened to anyone. I know these guys got to make money but their greed hurt them bad this time around. More
Found a vehicle online I liked. I called and the salesman worked with me for the week. I went to go look at it and they showed up with a different vehicle. I was told the vehicle I wanted had sold the week b worked with me for the week. I went to go look at it and they showed up with a different vehicle. I was told the vehicle I wanted had sold the week before. They never said anything that entire week. Each vehicle I test drove had no gas so I could not drive it far. Finance team filled out paper work for me without me knowing. Threw in some warranties and never said I would pay for them. The salesman never contacts me back when I have questions now. The finance department rushes through your paperwork without explaining anything to you. They do not care at all about their customers. They want their money and that is it. I advise people to never go here. More
