We could have chosen several Honda dealerships in our area, but decided to take the 2 hour drive to Colonial Honda in Chester, VA. From entering the showroom it was clean and uncluttered, so the customer area, but decided to take the 2 hour drive to Colonial Honda in Chester, VA. From entering the showroom it was clean and uncluttered, so the customer could take in the experience of the possible vehicles for purchase. There were no sales people running you down as you walked in the door, which we like, but in saying that, all sales people were very friendly and said if we needed help they were there to assist. Before we arrived we had requested a particular style/model of the Honda Odyssey to preview. We then were greeted cordially by the General Manager, Tim Cosgrove, and he stated that the Odyssey that we requested was ready, and that James Parker would be our sales associate. We were very appreciative of the consideration of our time because of the drive to get to the dealership. James went over the vehicle that we were looking to purchase in fine detail. He was also able to answer any questions that we had concerning the features on the vehicle, and he also was able to operate or show us how these features worked. During the test drive he showed us how the safety feature worked by us actually using them during the test drive. Once back at the dealership we were asked if the vehicle met our expectation before being asked about signing on the dotted line. When it was time to get the financial information we were told exactly what the value was for our trade-ins, and the price of the vehicle before and after the trade-ins were calculated. The price for the vehicle was within the range that we researched and compared on the internet. We were then given several different payment options to chose from. The payment option that we wanted was not listed, but the option that we wanted was recalculated within minutes. Again the employees are being considerate of your time without a lot of back-and-forth negotiation. Once the price was determined we visited Grace Tanner to sign the contract paperwork and talked about add-on items such as extended warranties. Grace was very friendly and she was very thorough in explaining the different options for warranties and about the new coatings that are available for purchase. When asked questions she was able to deliver answers without having to ask someone else for the answer. All the paperwork was completed in a reasonable amount of time and our paperwork was packaged together in a neat and orderly manner. Before we left the dealership we were asked by James, Grace, and Tim if we had any questions, or if they needed to go over any features on the vehicle that we did not understand. This gesture was very appreciated. We would recommend this dealership to anyone that wants a great buying experience and people that treat you with respect. When buying another vehicle this dealership would be the first one that I would consider. Thanks for the great experience!! More
