Richard was amongst the first to respond, but most importantly with a price that was hands down a great deal and lower than any competitor. While I began to receive quotes from other dealerships they all paled in comparison, and began using his quote to try to get a better deal at other dealerships. While the other dealerships did come down in price in some regard it was an overall negative experience negotiating a sale price with all of Colonial Honda's competitors, particularly Mechanicsville. Richard at Colonial gave me an upfront great deal and we negotiated for him to buyout the remaining I owed on my previous car that I was trading in. I did find that the management that Richard had to confirm details with were trying to cut corners as much as possible, which was annoying. My trade-in was valued at 4800, they could sell it for 6000+ and I owed 5400. Dealing with management to buyout my car was a tad annoying and I can see a weaker negotiator just taking the 4800. They ultimately did buyout my trade-in from me after arbitrary incremental amounts. 200-400 at a time. It was the only negative experience I had. Richard Miller on the other hand was perhaps one of the easiest salesmen I have had the pleasure to work with. I am an attorney and law professor, I have had a great deal of experience dealing with pushy, unprofessional and undeserving business partners. If I needed to buy another car and Richard moved to another dealership, I would contact him first to see what he could do for me. Colonial Honda was fantastic other than that one brief moment which I would hope not put a bad taste in anyone's mouth. More

When I almost nailed down to choose 2014 Civic LX, I find out EX may be a better choice. Gary was very helpful and patient to tell me he also have two new 2013 Honda Civic EX cars have almost the same price as 2014 Civic LX which would be a great deal! However, I was not so happy about the 2013 Civic’s color and Gary suggested me to come for a visit and make the decision. I went to meet Gary eventually with my boss. He was very friendly and patient to go out do a test drive with me and introduced features of 2014 Civic LX and 2013 Civic EX, he tried his best to offer me as much information as he knew to help me to make the decision. He was also very patient and professional to explain and introduce warranty, car insurance and financing questions I had, he also provided me some good information for car insurance purchase. Since I haven’t driven a car for a long time and was not confident to drive home, after purchasing the car, he went to my place twice. The first time is to deliver the new car to my place, add full tank gas for me and teach me how to use typical features. The second time is to install license plate for me. I purchased my first vehicle with Colonial Honda in 2011 and had a great experience. We went to Priority Nissan to purchase our next car in 2012 and did not like the service. I will never go back to them again because when we tried to trade the car in, we found out that the car had been in an accident that we were not aware of. I am mad because we were pregnant at the time and the people who showed us the car only wanted a sale and did not care about our well-being. Needless to say, Colonial Honda was there to save the day and helped us tremedously. We had originally wanted the Honda Odyssey but could not afford the montly payments. Bill had another option avaliable and it was a better option in the end. I am so excited about my brand new car and will definetly be going back to purchase our van (or truck) when our 2007 Honda Accord gets too small for us.
