Colonial Honda and Bill Stone were awesome! I recently moved to the Richmond area (from Charlottesville). In Charlottesville the Carter Myers family, through their Volvo and other dealerships, I recently moved to the Richmond area (from Charlottesville). In Charlottesville the Carter Myers family, through their Volvo and other dealerships, have a long history of support for organizations that mean a lot to me such as the Albemarle County Sheriff's Office Foundation and the UVA Children's Hospital. For this reason, I made an effort to support their organization by looking for a car at their Richmond area dealerships. It turned out a Honda CRV was the best new car for me. I needed a lot of assistance throughout the search and purchase, as I owned my 2000 Saab 93 almost 15 years! Bill Stone was a wonderful partner. Bill was honest and straight-forward. He answered my specific questions regarding the strengths and weaknesses of each car we discussed. I had done my homework by reading Consumer Reports, so I did ask questions comparing several competitors. He took me out for a test drive in several different Honda vehicles. He was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. In fact, everyone at the dealtership was delightful. I visited several times and was always greeted with a smile, a handshake, and an offer for refreshments. By the second visit, all I met greeted me by name. The dealership was clean, attractive, and comfortable. I love my new car and believe I have Bill and his colleagues at Colonial Honda to thank for it. More

Best experience in buying a car, there was no high pressure sales. We took all day to even decide on buying our Pilot and with the price negotiation; we also went back and forth with if we were doing money down or just trade a car in or both trying to find the best monthly payment for us. Our sales person never once became frustrated or irritated with us; but remained just as friendly and professional with us even when we were there an hour after closing. Also, if they couldn't answer a question about the vehicle, they did not make up an answer; but was honest and said I don't know but then immediately went and found or researched the answer. We really can't say enough good things about this place. We highly recommend stopping in and talking to Bridget Dougherty for your next car purchase. More

I particularly appreciated the fact that he was very patient with me and not in any way "pushy". He made me feel as if I was his only customer, and that he would make sure I was satisfied with my decisions. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone interested in buying a Honda. I can share with you that he provided me with excellent and professional service. He was always willing to accomodate my schedule, assist me in crisis- and be honest as far as the needed service without the feeling that one is being robbed. He also helped us out on my daughters 2002 Honda Element which we kept until 2012 and kept running well until it was replaced with a CRV. About a year ago he helped my daughter with her car purchase, that buying experience was very pleasant and now I need a vehicle. In April 2014 I contacted Richard to see a Honda Ridgeline. He didn’t have the Ridgeline Sport that I was looking for but in less than 48 hours he found one in the exact color I wanted and the price he quoted me was so low that my wife and I didn’t even think to try and negotiate it for less! I’m now the proud owner of a 2014 Honda Ridgeline Sport and received an extremely fair trade-in on my old truck. My experience with Richard and everyone at Colonial Honda has been extremely pleasurable; sales, financing, service, and so on. There were no high pressure tactics used and Richard made certain I was informed and understood every aspect of the deal. My experience at Colonial and it's staff, Jimmy and John in particular was outstanding and I would highly recommend Colonial Honda and Jimmy to everyone who might ask me about buying a Honda product. Buying a new car and make it short and sweet. Prior to this purchase I bought new in 1970,73,76,78 and 1998. Everything else was used. I don't like haggling and I don't like making payments. I called 4 Honda dealers.Started getting the tricks of the trade from 3 of them. Telephone tag and different packages. I knew what I wanted in the car so I told each dealer/salesman, give me your best price for what I have to write the check for when the deal is done. Two dealers/salesman took 2 days, one dealer/salesman called me 3 times in one day. Richard Miller called me back in about 30 minutes and we made a deal. He beat the socks off those local dealers near me and made it short and sweet. Richard listened to what I had said and did what I asked. It's that simple. He picked up on the type of person I am and made it pleasant. I like that! I'll certainly spread the word to folks in my area and give them Richard Millers name. During the follow up process Colonial was made aware of a written offer that was more competitive. Within a short period of time Colonial Honda was able to become competitive and a deal was able to be made. Since I had already sold a vehicle and Colonial was about 1 hour away I requested if Colonial could pick me up at the Amtrak station. Colonial went 1 step better. The salesman I was working with, Richard Miller, agreed to pick me up at my home, about 1 hour drive each way. This as the saying goes "closed the deal" Upon arriving at Colonial I noticed a number of things immediately 1) the friendliness of the employees. Everyone you passed said Hi or as they say in Virginia "Hey" 2) the cleanliness of the showroom....from the floors to the lighting to the openness. 3) the service area had windows and looking in the technician work areas were all neat and clean. I would recommend anyone who is considering purchasing a Honda to give Colonial an opportunity to earn your business. More

My husband had a bad experience with Royal Chevrolet ,salesman Ron Carter and was unsure of purchasing a vehicle period . Royal Chevrolet left a bad taste in his mouth but Bill Stone and Gary See made our car buying experience enjoyable and worth while . The van came with a DVD entertainment system and Bill Stone and Gary See found out it did not work and Colonial Honda paid for the installation of a new DVD player done by Audio Express and my husband and I are pleased.. It was done today and I can hardly wait to look at a movie. Gives me a reason to sit in the back seat.!! Can not wait to go to Disney in August in the van! Looking forward to the trip!! Bill Stone and Gary See!! you guys are the greatest!! Yes I would purchase another vehicle from Colonial Honda. This is a great dealership. More
