Exceptional Salesperson Dear Colonial Honda, I would like to take a moment to express my thanks and appreciation to Colonial Honda for the s Dear Colonial Honda, I would like to take a moment to express my thanks and appreciation to Colonial Honda for the superior experience we had during our recent purchase of our new 2011 Honda Accord. I would also like to ensure that I bring to the attention of the Management that the salesperson who took care of us, Maurice Studivant, is an outstanding salesperson. This is the second time we have purchased from your dealership, and Maurice was the salesperson who took care of us during our first purchase as well. The way he took care of us and worked to ensure all our needs were met and all our questions were answered was the primary reason we decided to come back to Colonial Honda for our most recent purchase. Of course the quality of Honda also contributed to our decision. I sincerely hope that the Management at Colonial Honda recognizes how great a salesperson Maurice is and how much he cares and how hard he works for his clients. Please express my thanks to him. I think I'll probably be back to buy my next car from him one day in the not too distant future. Sincerely, Philip Rainey More

Gary See did some of the paper work and the next day I came to pick up the car and Richard Miller had the car ready for me and completed the sale. Richard took the time to sit in the new car with me and explain some of the features and program some of them. I was very satisified with the friendly service I received. I will surely recommend those 2 salesmen and Colonial Honda to family & friends. I also was pleased with the finance dept (I think it was Rebekah Clayton ) as she explained all the details pertaining to the papers that I had to sign. Purchasing this new car was a very pleasant experience !! More
What made the difference I searched for a deal on a new Honda through Truecar.com and Colonial Honda was one of two companies that came out of the search. At the same time, I I searched for a deal on a new Honda through Truecar.com and Colonial Honda was one of two companies that came out of the search. At the same time, I was also pursuing an offer from a more local dealer where a relative of mine worked and was working with one of their sales staff to come up with an offer. The Internet Sales Manager at Colonial Honda sent me an e-mail follow-up to let me know they were interested in helping me and to advise me that a sales rep would be reaching out to talk with me. The next day, Gary See contacted me (as promised) and a friendly dialogue ensued as Gary made note of the things I was interested in having in a new car. Subsequent calls were always well timed, with a good update on his progress and casually narrowing down my list of 'must haves.' The offer to deliver a car to test drive was a surprise. Not that I expected to take Gary up on the offer, but that he was genuinely willing to do that. Since I needed to get an appraisal from the dealer on my car anyway, I thought it best to visit the dealer and test drive while they completed the appraisal on my existing vehicle. The greeting I received from everyone was great. I honestly expected to have the 'deal' handed off to another sales person, (thinking one person brought in the lead and someone else closed on the deal), but I was pleasantly surprised that I got to complete the entire deal with Gary. He is the person who first established the relationship with me as a customer and it was only right for him to finish the sale. Everything continued to run smoothly all the way from finalizing the options I wanted through financing and ultimately driving off the lot with my new vehicle. But it is important to share a couple of observations and notes. First, the 'other' truecar.com dealer that was competing with Colonial sent me a few e-mails with an invitation to call if I was interested but never once called me or indicated they planned to call. They even went so far as to send me a link to a credit application, which I found a little premature. We hadn't even narrowed down what I might be purchasing or that I would be buying from them. Second, I could not have asked for a friendlier, more attentive sales representative than what I found in Gary. Always listened to me, never did a hard sell to pressure me into something more expensive. He actually heard me tell him that one of the reasons I was looking at the Civic was to help reduce expenses, so staying away from trying to get me to buy something more expensive was a good move not to make. We had just bought a new Honda Accord EX-L so there was no need to go the path of more luxurious. Third, I felt welcomed and appreciated. I wasn't buying top of the line, but I was buying something that was important to me which seemed to be the only thing that mattered to everyone. Everyone was considerate of the time it takes to buy/lease a new vehicle. The offer to bundle all the extras that I selected that had to be done to the vehicle and to do it in a later appointment was appreciated. Adding to that Gary's offer to pick up my car at my home and return it when everything was finished was hugely appreciated. I live 40 minutes from the dealership and taking the time out to coordinate the service with work would have been stressful. Finally, finance gave excellent advice about additional services available which helped me discern between what I should choose when leasing versus buying the vehicle. This was in addition to the fact that he was a pretty friendly guy himself and I always felt at ease through all the 'paper signing' ritual. The entire deal was a package of pleasure. The usual pain of decisions about which car, what options and how to finance that one expects never surfaced. You have a great team working at Colonial Honda and I hope you know how fortunate you are as a company and as a dealership. Thank you Gary and all! replacing my 16 year old honda civic for a Prius Knowing I'm planning long distance driving around Virginia this summer, I had to replace my 1998 228,000 mile Honda Civic. Sifting through reviews, r Knowing I'm planning long distance driving around Virginia this summer, I had to replace my 1998 228,000 mile Honda Civic. Sifting through reviews, ratings and contacting dealerships was intense. Finally getting a Prius became my goal despite at least two sales men dissuading me from a hybrid because of the $5000 battery replacement/ labor costs. Fortunately, word of mouth led me to the Carter Myers Automotive group. I experienced professional, non-pushy sales people. It hasn't been a week yet of driving the Prius, but it's a leap forward n comfort and complexity. I hope to own it problem free for at least eight years. More

I purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry from this place and before my 1 year warranty was up, I was having engine problems. Not to mention I had to bring my car to the service department about 5 times for a sensor to be replaced and three out of the five times it just sat there without even being looked at! Maurice Studivant was my sales person and I'd advise not to deal with him. He made many false promises to me and I didn't appreciate it! My car had to be serviced next door at Priority Toyota. They treated me SUPERB and I didn't even purchase my vehicle from them! I will never associate with Colonial Honda ever again in LIFE! And I'd advise whoever is reading this not to either! Priority Toyota has just earned a loyal customer. They are the perfect example of how a business should be ran and how a customer should be treated! More
