In checking with your Service Advisor, Elliott, a cost estimate was emailed to you as you had requested. While we understand that repairs can be expensive, we encourage our guests to perform regular maintenance as a way to help defer the costs over a period of time. We understand you rarely drive your vehicle and accumulated the bulk of the miles driven during a recent trip. Unfortunately, leaving a vehicle sit for extended periods can be detrimental to items subject to wear, such as rotors that can warp and tires and rubber seals which dry rot. We are pleased that you were happy with your Ford when you purchased it back in 2012 and we would like you to be just as happy with it today. If you like, please give Elliott a call and he will review the recommended repairs and help you in setting up an affordable maintenance schedule.

Having regular maintenance has nothing to do with the repairs that were needed after I took this vehicle off of the lot. 12 year old tires should be replaced as a safety issue, brakes and rotors checked and an inspection done under the vehicle to see if items need to be replaced. These items that Elliott sent me were dry rot before I took ownership of the vehicle. The CD didn't work when I first tried it. If Elliott can send me a more realistic price on replacing the rear upper control arms, lower control arms, rear knuckle align link (inner tie rod & outer tie rod, front upper control arms, front sway bar links, rear sway bar links front outer tie rod ends and 4 wheel allignment, along with repariing the CD player, I would put Bill Bryan on the list as great customer service people to deal with. Right now I feel like I was taken advantage of by Joe as he seemed like a honest christian when I spent time with him and was upfront with everything. With all of the experience a dealership has with older classic cars, I'm sure the service department would be aware of dry rot items. Hopefully this can be resolved as I would expect the dealership to at least split the cost of these repairs. Look forward to hearing from you. John Herman

your salespeople told me when I was there that a van that I bought there 6 months earlier for 16,900 was only worth 6,000 on a trade up of two years on the same type van, the van I have I put on 4,000 miles and not a mark on my van, but it lost 10,900 in 6months, I am still driving the van and will keep driving it for awhile, your sales people just laughed when I asked how it could lost 10,900 in 6 months, I got in my van and left.
