We were looking for a 3-row vehicle to fit our growing family and landed on the Ascent (2019 Touring). Atef was incredibly knowledgable about all the features, and extremely genuine when he spoke w/ my wife and me. He also worked around our busy schedules to meet 3 days in a row, doing overviews, test drives, and work through the sale. As the 2020's were starting to come in stock, he was able to get us a great price on a new 2019 w/o any back-and-forth haggling that you'd expect. Solid trade-in appraisal and we were out the door in a couple of hours. We met w/ Zach Nugen as well who went over the financial paperwork. He was quick and thorough, and really helped me understand all of the warranty provisions. Highly recommend Atef and the rest of the Byers Subaru team. More

Poor Service Interactions with Monty over the phone were as expected. He was prompt at reaching out to me via email and phone when we first scheduled our appointme Interactions with Monty over the phone were as expected. Given the dealer's non-standard hours during the day of our visit, I agreed to meet him earlier for a test drive. As soon as we got to the dealership though, the experience took a nosedive. No smile or cordial greeting upon meeting him. Throughout the experience, we got the impression our visit was an inconvenience. Monty walked us to the back office to take our license and insurance information for the test drive. We waited as he wrote up the paperwork. Again, no small talk or any interest shown in asking us what we were looking for. No offer to sit with him. We were just left there standing watching him fill out paperwork. He was more focused on writing up the insurance information (which took a longer time than what we had seen with other dealers we had visited). At one point, I asked if we could leave the insurance card info with him and go on the test drive. Instead of taking this as an opportunity to connect with us, he proceeded to tell us it's his job on the line if he doesn't collect this information. As a salesperson, this was his cue to step it up and connect with his customer - i.e. acknowledge our time, maybe make some small talk, or give us details on the car. Instead, he proceeds to take his time writing the information and several times, interject with why he had to do this and how he wasn't going to "lose his job" over documentation. My husband and I had to tell him several times that we didn't need any further justification and just wanted to do the test drive. The only reason I didn't just walk out was because my husband wanted to finish the test drive. THE ONLY reason. Not sure if we caught him on a bad day - regardless, would not recommend this salesperson. More
