We were originally going to go out of state to get a Mazda CX5 because we wanted a good price and no one had the exact car we wanted in stock. But we talked to Keith at Byers and he was willing to come Mazda CX5 because we wanted a good price and no one had the exact car we wanted in stock. But we talked to Keith at Byers and he was willing to come down on the price. When we got there to pick up the car it was 15 minutes before they closed. Keith stayed with us and answered all our questions, took care of our trade in, and worked with us on financing. We were probably there until 9:30 pm but the whole process was a breeze compared to our last car buying experience. Not only that, but the CX5 has more than exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend Byers. More
Both our salesperson (Zach) and the finance manager were very easy to work with. Zach was friendly, helpful, and thorough without being pushy. He answered all of our questions and never made us feel rushe very easy to work with. Zach was friendly, helpful, and thorough without being pushy. He answered all of our questions and never made us feel rushed. The finance manager was equally as friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and have absolutely no complaints. Would definitely go back! More
If I could give this service department a negative -10, I would. Worst, worst service ever. I took in my 2003 Mazda protege knowing already beforehand what was wrong with it, this car had been recalled for t would. Worst, worst service ever. I took in my 2003 Mazda protege knowing already beforehand what was wrong with it, this car had been recalled for the same exact problem, but mine VIN number wan't one of them. So I drop it off at 8am and then finally it is done by 6pm, now I am billed $500, with half of it from labor costs. Before I paid them, I double checked with the service rep, to make sure my problem was fixed and that they had checked my car overall for any other problems. Well, good thing I took the side roads home, because the next day as I pulled out of my carport, I hear a big bang noise. I get out and find a piece of metal/screw thing that fell from the bottom of my car!!!! Really??? Of course, when I took it back in, their explanation was that it was an honest mistake, that the technician was checking something and had left it in and that of course they couldn't refund any of the labor cost they had charged me. But they could offer me a 10% discount of up to $100 for any future services. Right, like I would come back. Not only were they careless, they also put my life and others in danger, what if I had been on the highway and it had fell out and struck another car. Just think it about it in another scenario, what if you had gone into surgery and the doctor left a operating tool in you, and then explained as a honest mistake and then offered a discount on any further surgeries. I am taking my compliant to Mazda USA, because this was ridiculous. I was charged 90 per hour for labor, and even though the car was there the whole day, it was obvious the job was rushed and sloppy. UPDATE TO REVIEW BELOW: I spoked to the General Manager and he and the sales manager agreed to honor the agreed upon price. Car arrived as promised and had no additional issues about the pricing. Everythi and he and the sales manager agreed to honor the agreed upon price. Car arrived as promised and had no additional issues about the pricing. Everything below is true and in a way, I overreacted out of fear of being cheated, but they should never have even tried to change the price after it was agreed to, and some of the attitude I encountered was not right. BEWARE - This dealership lives up to all you've ever heard about dealers. Salesman friendly until after I signed and paid a deposit to reserve a car which was already scheduled to arrive at the dealership in a couple of weeks. He was supposed to fax a document 2 days later showing the options on the car because he couldn't give it to me right then because someone not in the office right then needed to do it. 3 days later I hadn't received it, emailed him, no response. I called and talked to sales manager who faxed me a document showing the price would be more than agreed "because the car had already been completed in Japan and shipped before they could confirm the options that should be on the car." I objected and he said I'd have to talk to the salesman. I again tried to call the salesman, then emailed, again then finally caught him on the phone. Currently they refuse to either sell me the car at the agreed price or refund the deposit. General Manager is supposed to call me Monday (this has all happened within the last week). We'll see how trustworthy this company is but its sure giving me a bad feeling so far. More
Frank is great to work with once I get to the dealership for my appointment and service seems to be always within the time promised ....the problem with this dealership in particular is that no one retur for my appointment and service seems to be always within the time promised ....the problem with this dealership in particular is that no one returns a call (even after waiting a couple of days) when a message is left attempting to set up a service appointment. These are not isolated incidents -- it seems to happen anytime I leave a message for a service appointment so I no longer will leave a message and call back until I can talk with a person....that might work very well for you that I am willing to spend my time to call again and again however it is a waste of my time. Worked with Shane and his team and found all to be extremely knowledgable and experts. I would do business with Byers again! The staff treated me very fairly, there was no high pressure. Very refreshing to meet and do business with a staff like this!! More
Very negative experience. It is my opinion that the price I negotiated for on my new vehicle was changed after the fact and I didn't catch it in the purchase order. I say "my opinion" because I was told by t I negotiated for on my new vehicle was changed after the fact and I didn't catch it in the purchase order. I say "my opinion" because I was told by the general manager that if I engaged in slander or defamation they would involve lawyers. As you can tell, they are very pleasant people to work with. I presented them with evidence of the first quote, but they refused to honor it. I would never do business with them again, and if you choose buy a car with them make sure you get everything in writing along the way and triple check the paper work. More
Manny was fantastic. Very low pressure and very knowledgeable. He knew the car we bought inside and out. He was able to show my wife and I almost every feature before we ever took it for a test d knowledgeable. He knew the car we bought inside and out. He was able to show my wife and I almost every feature before we ever took it for a test drive. When it came time to deal, he was very professional and respectful of my thoughts and concerns. I would have given a "5" for Quality of Work and for Overall Experience, but the F&I guy was a real jerk. No personality, and got very annoyed with me when I maintained that I was going to review every line on every piece of paper. He was more annoyed when I declined the extended warranty, and service contracts. I would warn anyone buying a car from them, (or any dealer really) to make sure you check your numbers. With the agreed upon purchase price, trade value, fees, taxes, and my downpayment, I knew where my payment was going to be. I worked it out on my financial calculator. When I went to close the deal in the F&I office, the first loan paperwork I saw had a payment that was about $5 more/month. Over the life of the loan, that was about $315 extra. So, I went back and looked at my wife's car we had bought from a Ford Dealership. Same thing. I think this is standard practice, and I can't believe it's not considered fraudelent. More
