Problem with buying a new car wasn't that I had bad credit, I had no credit. I still had my sights set on purchasing new, but finding it difficult to get financing, even attemting a secured loan against savings. Eva asked me to come in after work to discuss other options and as I was getting ready to enter the dealership, I noticed the red Impreza with 2016 on the window, parked at the door. I went in to Eva's office and we started talking, and I skeptically mentioned the 2016 that I had seen outside, and I said it looked nice. Eva told me that each vehicle goes through an over 200 point inspection and that the power train is covered for 100,000 miles, and asked if I wanted to drive the 2016 Impreza. Happy to find out the car had the features I found important, and very responsive in handling and acceleration, as well as being a very comfortable vehicle. And as I was driving it, was where the realization started creeping in that I could really enjoy this car and the pricing would well fit in my budget. When we got back to the dealership, I told Eva that I'll take the car, and we went ahead and got it financed, and any skepticism I had faded away. Finance was able to contact a lender that had told me what they would loan me, if I had made a certain down payment. And while the lender didn't have a copy of the terms quoted me on hand, Finance went to bat for me to get what terms I had been told over the phone. More
