First experience there. Had our '17 Explorer in for some repairs covered by a warranty bought with the vehicle at another dealer (Bill C.) across town. The service guy at BCF wanted us to bring the car in just so he could enter/scan it into the system, then later take it back to drop off to get it worked on. I asked him if I can't just give him the VIN over the phone as opposed to driving across town and he said no, that everyone would want to do that. No fooling Captain Obvious. Who wouldn't want to save an hr of their life with a 5 min phone call? No such idiocy at Byerly. Smarter people I'm guessing or they don't think it a "stroke of genius" to have customers waste time driving there just to log the car into their system only to bring it back later to drop off for repairs. Some serious smarts there (sarcasm intended). As for our visit. Several things were addressed completely to our satisfaction. Was treated well by everyone there and was informed about the progress. I've bought parts there for things I can do, but never had service done there and it was a very pleasant experience. Will gladly continue to take all of our Fords there. More
After telling the service advisor when I called to schedule this appointment, Byerly tech told me they could not get to everything within one day. They didn't tell me this before hand. After the truck was dropped off they were unable to fix any of the problems I was concerned about. The vibration I'm feeling is still there but they couldn't feel it. More
Mariah was a terrific sales associate- courteous, friendly & professional. I purchase a used vehicle "as-is," but I think it would have been good for someone to have communicated with me regarding th friendly & professional. I purchase a used vehicle "as-is," but I think it would have been good for someone to have communicated with me regarding the tire pressure light that stays on, as well as the 2 messages that continuously display on the dashboard: "Low Oil," & "Low Tire Pressure." I don't see any mechanical assessment notes on any of the paperwork I was given that states these issues. Also, the once I turned on the windshield wipers they would not turn off, & still come on every time the truck is running. I still would have purchased the vehicle, but would like to have been notified of these issues. I probably would have paid the dealership to make the repairs prior to taking possession of the truck.
