Poor buying expariance with Butler Toyota I purchased a 2018 Land Cruiser (certified preowned) at Butler Toyota on 1 Dec 18 and it was the WORST car buying experience I have ever had. The sta I purchased a 2018 Land Cruiser (certified preowned) at Butler Toyota on 1 Dec 18 and it was the WORST car buying experience I have ever had. The staff is unknowledgeable, rude, and lazy! I requested to have the GM call me (Kevin ??) and he has still not reached out to me (it's now 18 Dec). I called Toyota North America and lodged a complaint and was told that a customer service representative from Butler Toyota would contact me within the next 48 hours (that was 12 Dec) and still no contact... As stated the staff (Greg Williams) is/was unknowledgeable with how the sale of a vehicle to an active duty service member who is a non -resident of GA and who plans to register, title, and tag that new purchase in their state of residence works. This individual spoke to my wife and I as if we were less than intelligent with how the process works. My wife had to lookup the laws and regulations in dealing with the sale of a vehicle and the exemptions for military stationed in GA and the process of titling/registering in another state. I called Butler and explicitly told my salesman (Shane) to have the finance department call the Alaskan DMV to ensure they were tracing the process of selling a car to a military member and how to title/register that new sale. The dealer not only didn't call the DMV, they inferred that we were wrong when in fact the dealer blew-off my request. Lazy, the SUV was not ready for us to view (it was raining and not prepped under cover) even though the dealer knew we were on our way to see the SUV. I had told our salesman we were on the road heading his way which took us two hours! Once we decided to purchase the SUV was not detailed (maybe washed but it was raining and we could not tell if it was), it was not waxed!! and was missing a cover for the rear hitch (which is being ordered by the dealer, however, no word as to when it will come in). And as of 17 Dec the titling department has yet to process the our paperwork. As I stated above, I asked that the general manager (Kevin) call me so I could discuss these issues in detail, but I have still not received any kind of communication from either the GM or the customer relation representative (Zach Jordan). The only reason I purchased the Land Cruiser from Butler Toyota in one, the price was to good to pass up, and Two, I was two hours away from where I am stationed. I would like to say better things about my experience, but I can't. Butler Toyota does not live up to their mission statement, which I see as a direct reflection of the Butler Automotive group.
