As of March 8, 2019 I have received NO response from ANY of the above. On January 2, 2019 I purchased a used Subaru from Busam Subaru in Fairfield, Ohio. On January 3rd, I discovered that the vehicle I purchased was not the vehicle described by the salesman. Below are the details of the transaction. My initial contact with a new car salesman at Busam Subaru was on December 31, 2018. A relative submitted my name for VIP pricing on a new Subaru. After the salesman calculated the lease price, I realized a new vehicle was much more than I needed or could afford. I inquired about the availability of any used Subarus. I was told the dealership had recently acquired a 2011 Forester. Initially, I didn’t know anything about the Forester models, but the one word I remember the salesman saying, repeatedly, was Turbo. I was told the Subaru Turbo equipped engine was somewhat rare and highly sought after. A CarGurus search showed there were no other 2011 Forester XT Touring models available within a 500-mile radius of Cincinnati. Rare indeed! While in the salesman’s office, I looked up the KBB value of the vehicle and its fair purchase price is $11,327. I offered $8,500 and the used car manager countered with $9,500. Over the next few hours, and again for over 3 hours on January 2nd, I used all of my powers of persuasion to negotiate a lower purchase price. Nothing worked. Every time I made a counter offer, I was rebuffed by one word. Turbo. I was told, repeatedly, that the used car manager could put the car on the lot and it would probably sell within a few days for the KBB fair purchase price. Turbo was the key word that I couldn’t defeat. Finally, I gave in. I told myself it was a good deal. I told myself the Turbo equipped vehicle would hold its value and that I was making a wise investment. Here’s the problem... The vehicle has a standard engine. It does not have a Turbocharger equipped engine. After viewing pictures of both engines in the owner’s manual, and discovering I’d been sold a standard engine, I immediately contacted the dealership and their initial reaction was comforting. They seemed genuinely concerned and told me they would get back to me with a solution. Their solution is that I should bring the car back and they would refund my money. Sorry, that solution is unacceptable. I spent 3 days working to purchase this vehicle. Driving 60 miles round trip to my Credit Union to secure financing. Multiple trips to the dealership. A trip to my mechanic to have the car inspected. My time is valuable and has been wasted by this obvious bait and switch. I’ve been looking for a used vehicle for the past few months. I checked out a few of the independent used car dealerships North of Busam Subaru on Route 4. When dealing with those dealerships, I never felt comfortable. While shopping there, the phrase “Fly-by-night” came to mind. I would expect something like this if I’d purchased a vehicle from one of them. I didn’t expect it from, what I believed, was a reputable dealership. I looked up the KBB value of the vehicle I purchased. Not the vehicle I was SOLD, but the vehicle I ended up with. A 2011 Forester X Touring model has a fair purchase price of $10,199. That’s $1,128 less than the XT model. Again, I was sold the XT model. I ended up with the X Model. Returning the purchase price and washing their hands of the whole matter is the easiest solution for the dealership. It’s a major pain in the rear for me, but it’s easiest for Busam Subaru. I’m writing to appeal to your sense of fairness. Put yourself in my shoes. I shopped at your dealership because I trusted you. Ok, I’m not naive. Let’s just say I trusted your dealership significantly more than I trusted the independent dealers up the road. I’m hoping I wasn’t wrong to do that. Other than scrapping the deal and returning the car, I’ll leave it to you to figure a way to compensate me for the $1,100 difference in value between what I was “sold” and what I ended up with. Sincerely, More
Horrible experience I am recently looking to buy a new car and very interested in the cool grey khaki special edition color for the wrx. I was told by Sumer that the car I am recently looking to buy a new car and very interested in the cool grey khaki special edition color for the wrx. I was told by Sumer that the car was available and that I could put a 500$ deposit down to reserve the car if I chose to buy. After working 10 hrs, I drive 40 minutes to come see this car only to find out it is GONE and was sold TWO DAYS AGO. Never going back to those liars again. More

After mar As I am a senior citizen, I have obviously purchased a number of cars over the years. I learned to drive on my parent's '66 Buick Electra. After marriage and twins, we had a couple of station wagons that lasted about ten years each. Since 1994, I've been a Buick customer. However, a couple of weeks ago, an SUV ran me off I-71 in near downtown Cincinnati, and my 2007 LaCrosse was totaled. I did a lot of research, more concerned about new innovations in car safety. With a recommendation from one of my sons, I soon decided on a 2019Subaru Legacy Limited. I worked with Nick, who guided me through the process, and boy was it a REFRESHING change from all my previous experiences! After phone conversations on Wednesday, and finding out my old car was definitely totaled, My son drove me to Busam Friday afternoon. It took less than three hours to have everything settled and driving back home in my new car. No "checking back and forth with sales manager", no surprises--just good honest business. Everything was organized, clear and easy. Dave, who handled the financing process, had everything ready. I can't believe how straightforward everything was. Also thanks to Mike for explaining how the new technology (which Buick has NOT kept up with) works. They treated me and my son like family, and even though I live in Ky., 20 miles south of Cincinnati, I will be happy to come back to them for service, etc. If you need a new car, go see these guys! I know that it was "major surgery" to the engine and related components but I could not have trusted it to a better guy. The work was completed as promised, and your suggestions around combining some of the work in order to save some labor dollars allowed us to complete the work within our budget. As noted we were completing the repairs so that we had safe and reliable transportation for my daughter. She took the car for a first drive to her job, and she sent me a text message upon arrival that said, "You weren't kidding!! It is like driving a new car!!" Please pass our appreciation on to the techs that worked on the car. All of your efforts are appreciated! More
ALL A FASCADE!!!! Don't do it!!!! I don't usually give bad reviews, it takes a lot for me to hate something but here it goes!!!!!!! I originally gave this place 5 stars but now I am I don't usually give bad reviews, it takes a lot for me to hate something but here it goes!!!!!!! I originally gave this place 5 stars but now I am reducing my rating to 2 stars, it was a pain less experience up front but behind the scenes was another story and so was 2 months after the purchase and now 4 months after. 1. When we signed our paperwork they had to ask us to come back because the Sales Person did not communicate about a lease return to the finance guy and they increased our monthly payments to $30. 2. Apparently, when we asked them to run the #'s to turn in our Toyota Lease in exchange for a Subaru Crosstrek they did not even bother to look at final cost of returning the lease and other things involved with it. So this meant we were still paying car payments on an early return while our Toyota was hanging out at the Subaru Lot for 2 months without us knowing it. 3. It took weeks on weeks on weeks to get anything sorted out! Took them so long to return the car to Toyota! And took even longer to give us a refund for the monthly payments we made 4. now 4 months later Toyota sent us a bill of $1000 for the return! There are lease return penalties that the Sales Person did not even look into and I would think would be knowledgeable enough to anticipate and inform us! Surprise!!!! 5. apparently according to the dealership they did not agree to pay lease return penalties . And the Sales Person did not put anything that we talked about in the document so there is no way for us to prove anything The Incompetence is ridiculous and irresponsible! I've traded in a lease for a financed car and they literally roll all that into financing! Wow!!! I'm blown away from all the stuff that is still haunting us! If I had known it was going to be this painful we would have gotten a Toyota!!! No wonder they were so relaxed on the day! ---------------------------------------------- More

Avoid the service department If you need work done on your car I would avoid this place, I dealt with Greg in the service department and he was nothing but mean, rude and bullying If you need work done on your car I would avoid this place, I dealt with Greg in the service department and he was nothing but mean, rude and bullying. My car has recalls on it that never expire I wanted a recall done that was issued in 2004 that I never knew about after my car accerlerated and brakes would not work, I was scared for my safety. Greg was just down right mean and said he was not interested in doing any of the work, no explanation why, I am jumping thru all kind of hoops to get this taken care of and hope eventually they will do the re call work since it never expires and is a major safety issue, just avoid the service department at all cost and thank me later More
Last week I decided to replace my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser with a new car. I was interested in a small SUV, preferably AWD / 4WD. After some research on the web, I nailed down my choices to three possible options: Subaru Forester, Subaru Crosstrek and Toyota RAV4. I paid them a visit, made a quick test drive and asked them for a quote. They offered me a 2014 Forester $500 below MSRP and a pitiful amount for my trade-in, full $3000 below trade-in value accordingly to KBB, NADA and Edmunds for my FJ Cruiser. I made them a fair counter-offer, based on the real value of my trade-in, and a reasonable market price for Forester. I left them with my counter-offer and left expecting them to contact me. I heard absolutely nothing from them since. No phone call, no email. It appears that Busam Subaru is not interested in selling cars. I ended up buying the RAV4, paying $1500 less then Busam's "deal", for a car worth $2000 more than the Forester they offered me. It is my second bad experience with this dealer. Three years ago we were looking for a car for my wife. We were interested in an Outback, and again, Busam's quote was pitiful, with an offer for our trade-in well below real market value. Zero follow-up or interest in reaching a deal. Bottom line, Busam's sales customer service is terrible. They behave as if they were doing the customer a favor by selling one of their cars. More
The most annoying thing about this dealer ship is if you go up there with a check engine light on its $90. I can understand a fee for running a diagnostic. That's 20 mins your tech is tied up and could be doing real work. I even took it to auto zone and had them run it for FREE and told this dealer what code it was and what I wanted fixed. Charging me $90 when I agree to have over $500 in service done to my vehicle is just insulting. I didn't go up there to waste there time or get a cheep oil change and say, hey and can you look at this. I went in with actual business. They are very friendly until you start asking questions or have any other information to offer them. I would avoid them unless I need something specific from the dealer. To top it off the car still isn't running great and they had no suggestions as to what I could have done for it to be running better. More
