Established in 1921 by Elmer Burtness, The Burtness Family of Dealerships has grown from a small Standard gasoline station into one of the most prominent Family of Dealerships in southern Wisconsin. Although the gas pumps have long been forgotten, the Bowditch family, which currently owns the dealership, still prides itself on the same principles and values Elmer envisioned: being the leader in outstanding service to customers and their vehicles.
With its small-town roots, Burtness Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Whitewater serves customers from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Its customers are loyal. Many have purchased all their vehicles from Burtness. The employees are loyal, too. Burtness employs more than 35 family members, who have more than 400 years of combined dedicated service. Service center good... General Motors bad Service center does a good job but after being a lifelong GM customer who has bought 14 new cars and pick ups, I will never buy another one. I had a Service center does a good job but after being a lifelong GM customer who has bought 14 new cars and pick ups, I will never buy another one. I had a service plan with my last pickup and when I sold it to my brother-in-law GM refused to allow the plan to be transferred, violating the terms clearly written in the agreement. The sales rep (Shane Williams) and General Manager (Paul Schepp) at the dealership blew me off and would not go to GM to help. More
