Doug is a polished professional and obviously earned his way to the top at Burns. I learned to respect him a great deal. As we traded many conversations in the days that followed my initial write up, he focused efforts to persuade my wife and I to work out new terms and gain our business. In the end, even though his offer was rock solid, my wife and I were unable to eradicate the memories of the horrible experience we had days before and terms were not able to be reached. It is honestly a shame it took such a bad experience in order to begin conversations with Doug. Burns Honda would like to apologize for not handling Mr. Rohrbacher and his family properly when he came into our showroom. Saturday's are generally our busy day of the week and appointments are always recommended. Unfortunately Ed Altman was not available for this customer due to the fact that he was with another customer at that time. We did not handle the transition from one sales person to another sales person properly. That being said we did reengage Mr. Rohrbacher after he had left and gave him very competitive price points for the new Odyssey as well as for his trade in. These price points were well below market prices and we offered 2 years of scheduled maintenance as well. Unfortunately we were unable to come to an aggreement on this transaction. We value all of our customers and would hope we may be able to earn Mr. Rohrbacher's business in the future. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (
