I put $1200 down, paid for insurance, registration, signed paper work, shook hands and then got the keys and drove off the lot. I’m having a baby, and my baby mother lives in Las Vegas. He’s due any time now so I decided to move back to Vegas for about 2-3 months to be there for the birth and everything. A couple days after the sale, I get a call from the dealership telling me I actually wasn’t approved and they basically just lied to me so I didn’t go out and buy another car from another dealership in the process of them actually approving me, they told me I need to return the car ASAP, which by this time I was already in Vegas. I told them I’m not driving it back 20 hours and this their mistake so they need to come get the car, so I provided the address. They told me unless I drive the car 20 hours back to Seattle to return it, that they were going to report the car stolen and I was going to go to jail. I texted my car dealer multiple times and called them trying to work something out so I didn’t have to drive for another 2 days, at one point he told me he was sending a return kit so I could return the car, so I waited a couple days and got nothing in the mail. At that point I texted him again and he just ignored me from that point on. The last thing I wanted was to go to jail over a lie that the dealership made about me “stealing” a car, so I drove the car back to them. It’s now been over a week since returning the car and they will not return or answer any of my calls, they stole my down payment and will not even respond so I can find out what I’m paying $1200 for. The MOST unprofessional company I’ve ever done business with. Who steals the only money someone has for a car right before they’re going to become a parent. Money hungry a holes that’s who. I Strongly recommend no one does business w these people. They do not give a s*** about you, they just want your money! More
Horrible experience. Tricked into $10,000 higher payment. This dealership will put customer satisfaction last, even if it means the loss of much further business. They live only for the immediate sale and for This dealership will put customer satisfaction last, even if it means the loss of much further business. They live only for the immediate sale and for as much money as they can extract from you. I was a loyal customer, having purchased several cars from these guys. They lured me into the dealership with a lease payment “pull forward” enticement whereby they promised to forgive my last payment on my Chevy Volt if I leased or bought a new Volt. I came in and they assured me that they could sell me a new Volt for “not much more” in monthly payments than what I was paying for the old Volt lease. I was paying about $450. By the time the sales pressure was over and all the extras were added, my new payment was $644 a month. I ended up purchasing the “2018” Volt for $49,000 (including tax, license, dealer prep, financing charge and numerous other charges. Then, 2 1/2 weeks after driving the car off the lot, I get word from the dealer and plastered all over my various Internet feeds that I visit, “Huge $10,000 price drop on the 2018 Volt, plus 0% financing. My new Volt, having already suffered the usual depreciation immediately after driving it off the lot, suddenly became worth an additional $10,000 less. I had been lured into the dealership to end my previous lease early to buy a Volt at full price just a couple of weeks before the price was to be dropped by $10,000 and 0% finance charge. Had I waited the 2 1/2 weeks until my lease was up, I could have bought the car for the reduced price. Chris, the general sales manager, told me that he would make things right by taking my newly purchased Volt in on trade and then selling me another new one at the new, lower price. In that way I could take advantage of a second government tax rebate and thereby recover some of the extra money I was having to pay for my original purchase. I fell for this trap and went in with my new car to trade it in and I signed all the papers for the deal. All except the last paper, the loan disclosure, that is. I had been repeatedly told that my new payment would be very similar to the payment I had committed to for my just purchased, and now to be traded in, 2018 Volt. In fact, the number was put in writing by the sales rep I was dealing with. Before signing that last loan disclosure paper, I noticed the monthly payment was considerably higher than what was repeatedly quoted to me. That’s when I was told there was “negative equity” in my trade in and the new loan would have to include payment of that negative equity. “Oh sorry, my bad. I just forgot about that,” says the salesman. Bottom line, I would end up with an identical Volt, after trading in the one I just bought, for even higher payments than I was now committed to. I was outraged and refused to sign the paper. Later, Chris still tried to convince me that I could save some money by doing the trade-in of my newly purchased Volt for another new one, but this would have involved my paying for the car in full up front and this would mean taking a lot of money out of my retirement accounts which would cause me to lose the interest that money makes for me by staying invested. This whole time, all anyone at Burien Chevrolet cared about was selling me a car, then attempting to sell me another car when I got caught in the trap that had been set by Chevy. The whole bad deal was reported to Chevy Customer care but they did nothing. In fact, Chris said I could go ahead and file a complaint with them, but that they didn’t give a s__t. He was correct in that regard. My advice: Do not do business with these folks. Beware of smiling faces and down home, friendly and casual sales pitches and run away from this place if you want to get an honest deal! Oh, to add insult to injury, I never did get reimbursed for my last lease payment, the deal that tricked me into buying a new Volt in the first place, just before the price drop. More

August 6, 2017 Our experience here started out just fine but we will never purchase a car from this dealership. Our first sales person, Robert was just great. My ca Our experience here started out just fine but we will never purchase a car from this dealership. Our first sales person, Robert was just great. My car was recently stolen and my husband and I needed to find a new car. We were VERY upfront that we were not buying a car at this visit but wanted to see what their used car options were. Again, Robert was very helpful, and accommodating. We did find one car we wanted to test drive and that all went fine. After our drive, Robert's "Manager" (Dave or Dan, I can't remember) came out to ask us how it went. We told him we liked the car and would like to consider it but that we were driving other cars that day and that this was our first stop. We asked if there was any wiggle room on the price and he said, I don't know, if you are willing to buy it today there could be (in typical car salesman "style"). I reiterated that we were NOT purchasing a car that day but wondered for comparison if the price was firm. Again, he said if we were willing to sit down and write a number on a piece of paper that he could take to his manager and commit to the car that day he would talk to us about the price but would not discuss unless we were willing to purchase on the spot. My husband (not from this country) asked how the price negotiation worked and Dave (or Dan) said well, you write down a number, I take it into my boss and if you're lucky and he's in a good mood he may say yes and if he's in a bad mood, he says no. At that point we stopped dead in our tracks and I said, thank very much, we're out- if the price of a car we want to purchase relies on whether your boss is in a good mood or not, we are not interested. He got very irritated at my comment and said, do you want this car or not today, this is how it works. and I said, not interested in the price of my car being dictated by someone's mood. I also said for at least the 5th time we were not purchasing a car that day and would now not be buying one from them. I know that there is a song and dance that goes along with buying a car but when a sales person tells me that the fate of the price of the car I want to purchase relies on the fact that his boss is in a good mood or not, I'm not interested, I hope it's based on the margins they are willing to explore with a customer and what I'm willing to pay and we meet in the middle, that is fine. The whim of someone's mood is not. More

Different than most dealerships I have experience with buying cars from many different dealerships across the U.S. but I've never quite had one like when I stepped onto the lot at Bu I have experience with buying cars from many different dealerships across the U.S. but I've never quite had one like when I stepped onto the lot at Burien Chev. I know all the tricks when it comes to selling cars and I can tell when a salesman is being dishonest with me. Josh Collier is like a different breed of salesman. You can tell he's eager to sell you a car but not if it's one you don't feel comfortable in. I went on a few test drives, got to try out all the new gadgets, and even hollered at some fine honeys at a stop light. All in all it was a great experience. Thanks to Josh I got the car I wanted and felt I got a fair deal. More
