My wife and went to purchase a 2012 certified pre-owned Sorento SX(10k miles)on December 19, 2013. We couldn't get the deal done on Friday. However, on Saturday the 20th we got a phone call with some chan Sorento SX(10k miles)on December 19, 2013. We couldn't get the deal done on Friday. However, on Saturday the 20th we got a phone call with some changes and we were able to come to an agreement. We knew after the test drive Friday the sound system needed repair and the tire pressure light was on. We were told the parts were on order for the radio and the tire light was probably just low pressure. During the purchase the salesperson Chris was very helpful and the overall purchase experience was good. That was the end of the good experience. I guess I should have known where we were headed when I got home to see the new car. I had to work on the 20th so my wife had to pick it up by herself. Much to my chagrin when I arrived home I got in the car and noticed not only was the radio not repaired, the tire light was still on but now the gas light was on. My wife informed me the radio parts didn't come in and that the tire light was not addressed and to my utter disbelief they did not send her home with a full tank of gas! I know it's not required but I have never paid that much for a car when the dealer didn't fill the tank up. While I was at the gas station I checked the tire pressure and filled the tires( car owner 2, Bulldog Kia 0). ... Moving forward to our trip to NC on 12.26. During the trip their was a rattling that started. When I pulled over I found the black trim under the nose of the car had come loose on the driver side by the tire and rubbed itself against the tire creating the rattling. When I investigated a little more I noticed that of the 6 holes that hold the nose trim on there were only two bolts in place! To bring it all together today I go in to the service dept today top get the original sound system repair done with an open mind and a hopeful heart. I explain to the service dept adviser(nice young man) the problem with the sound system and the newly discovered problems with the usb port(not working) and the nose trim that was loose and I also mentioned the oversight of the gas when we took the car.I left the car and returned around 5:45 at which time I was told the sound system was repaired, the gas was just an unfortunate situation and then it gets good... He told me it looked like to them I hit something to damage the trim even though there is no damage of any where except for where the trim rubbed the tire(IT'S A MIRACLE, LOCALIZED DAMAGE IN A WHEEL WELL!!!) Then for a finale- The USB port I was informed really doesn't work it's just a sales tool by KIA to draw people in and that it will work if I'm willing to buy the $30 cord from KIA. When I explained that I had KIA's before as rentals and the USB port worked fine with a standard cord in multiple vehicles he didn't know what to tell me. In closing, I now have to take it to a different dealer and try and get the repairs done to the USB and hope to appeal to their good nature since I didn't buy the vehicle from them and they don't know the condition the vehicle was in. I am going to send this to the GM at Bulldog KIA and I will post my results here. As an aside- We LOVE the car, it's great but right now I've got a very bad taste in my mouth over this dealers unwillingness to do the right thing. More
