Bought a new 2014 Ford Fusion on Black Friday. Lyndon and Justin in the sales department did an excellent job and I cannot enough good things about them. I negotiated a great deal on the vehicle. When I and Justin in the sales department did an excellent job and I cannot enough good things about them. I negotiated a great deal on the vehicle. When I got to the finance department I put a small amount on a credit card and the rest in a personal check. I trusted that Tim in the financial department who works with numbers all the time was giving me a final amount that I needed to write the check for which was accurate. He overcharged me by $950.00!! I only discovered the "mistake" or overcharge the next day when I slowly went over the contract with a calculator. I called him that night but he was busy with another customer and told me to call back the next day. When I did, he did not act surprised or concerned but agreed to refund the money immediately. Almost as though he knew about the miscalculation. I expected him to tell me he wanted to go over the contract again to make sure there were no other errors but he did not. The next day I called Jim Buerge (the owner of the dealership). He did apologize, but did not seem to concerned and stated "mistakes do happen and we sold a lot of cars that day" ( on Black Friday 2013). I wonder if he would have been so forgiving if his finance man had made the error in my favor?? If you decide to buy from this dealership watch out for what I believe was bait and switch game. Give a great sales price and then stick it to them in the final contract. I highly recommend you slowly go over the final contract line by line with your own calculator to make sure all of the numbers are correct. I will not be taking my new Ford to Buerge Ford for service and will not recommend any one do business with them. The Fusion is a great car...just make sure you find an honest and reliable dealership who will not attempt to rip you off. More
I have been looking for a Ford "Certified" used F150 Lariat for awhile and found one i like at Buerge Ford. I emaiIed them through there website to see if it was available and what the bottom pric F150 Lariat for awhile and found one i like at Buerge Ford. I emaiIed them through there website to see if it was available and what the bottom price they would do on it since I was driving from 40 miles away. I got the usual generic email saying that the email was received and someone would contact me. I was unavailable when they called that evening so they left a "call us back" message. It was getting late so I sent another email to tell then I wanted to come in around 11:00am the next day which I never received a response. I called the next morning only to have to leave a message because no one was available. Again, no response. So I called back and finally talked to a salesman named Eric. A nice gentleman, very helpful. He said the truck was available and he would maybe be able to come down a couple hundred dollars on the price since it was priced so low already. I agreed and headed down to the dealership. The truck was very nice looking, had all the options I wanted plus a few more. And it was Ford Certified. Upon taking it for a drive I noticed a clunk coming from the rear end area. We went back and went for another ride with a mechanic driving. he said he couldn't figure out what it was and would have to write up a repair ticket to check it out. So much for the Certification the dealer did. I told Eric and the sales manager to give me a call when it was figured out and I would be back to which the sales manager said..."I should know something in a couple of hours and you will definitely be getting a discount after this". I said great and before leaving Eric came out and inspected my 2003 Expedition for a trade-in. He said he would give me the amount when he called me back about the repair of the truck. No call the rest of the day, so the next morning I called back to see if they figured it out. I was informed by Eric that they sold the truck "Last night". Needless to say I wasn't happy. Wasted my time driving all the way out there to see a "Certified" truck that should not have been certified in the first place with the problem until it was repaired. Then to sell it to someone else. I wonder if it was even repaired or they sold it as-is to someone with less mechanical knowledge that myself. I will not be going back. More
Car dealers are car dealers. People are gonna have bad experiences, that's just the way of the world. However, the service department is another matter. This is the opportunity for a dealership to provid experiences, that's just the way of the world. However, the service department is another matter. This is the opportunity for a dealership to provide top-notch repair and more importantly, customer service outside of the naturally antagonistic car buying experience. Sadly, Buerge Ford is sorely lacking in this department. It's close to my house, so I decided to give it a try instead of Airport Marina Ford, where I've gone in the past and always had professional service. I made an appointment for my 2013 Ford Raptor to address four warranty issues, 1) the rear defroster not working, 2) the SYNC system locking up occasionally, 3) the start-up screen not showing the right logo for this model, and 4) some broken hardware on the tailgate. I showed up promptly at 9am for my appointment, and after talking to Mario, with whom I had made the appointment with, I left my truck and walked home. They offer a ride service, but the driver was 20 minutes out and I didn't want to wait. I had made it clear to Mario that I needed my truck back by 3pm. Throughout my interaction with him, he didn't seem to remember our phone conversation from the previous day or be paying very close attention to what I was asking. At 2:30pm, after hearing nothing from the dealership for the last 5 1/2 hours, I called to check on the progress. Nothing had been done. Mario said he needed another hour to work on the SYNC issue. I could tell that he just remembered that he had my truck and had just gotten it in to a service bay. I showed up at 3:30, Mario told me to wait, and rushed off someplace, so after being left alone for 10 minutes standing outside, I went over to where the tech was working on my truck. The tech was good. Seemed to know his business. However, all he had done was do a master reset of the system and make sure it worked. Having done this myself in the past, I know that it's about a 30 minute operation, tops. At this point Mario comes wandering over and says to the tech, I kid you not, "OH! Can you see if the start-up screen can be changed?". W. T. F?! You've had my truck SIX HOURS and you haven't even communicated what needs to be done? What a clown show. This Mario dude needs to not only be fired, but taken out back and slapped around a bit. I volunteer for the job. I guess I should also say that he did absolutely zero with my rear-window defroster and the tailgate. At this point I was late for my next meeting and I just wanted to get away from this idiot, so I bailed. I called the General Manager on my way out to voice my disappointment and his secretary took a message. This was yesterday. I don't expect to hear back from him. Buerge Ford. Stay away on all fronts. I have bought or leased many cars but can't remember having a more pleasant or stress free experience than during my recent transaction with Buerge. Verletta contacted me in response to an email reques having a more pleasant or stress free experience than during my recent transaction with Buerge. Verletta contacted me in response to an email request from the manufacturer's website, asked the right questions and was ready to show me the vehicles I needed to see when I arrived. She was straightforward and we negotiated the final deal in less than 30 minutes. More
