Chris was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased as well as the services provided by the dealership. As someone going through their first car buying experience I was a little the vehicle I purchased as well as the services provided by the dealership. Last time we had service our car was cleaned inside and out when completed. One of the extras in why we like Bud Brown. We even had our car towed to Bud Brown from near Lawrence. Test drove a vehicle that had a couple of small issues. My salesmen and a sales manager both advised the car was certified pre-owned so the issues weren’t a big deal. When I asked them if they’d take less My salesmen and a sales manager both advised the car was certified pre-owned so the issues weren’t a big deal. When I asked them if they’d take less money for the car, they advised again that it was certified pre-owned and that they would not. We ultimately agree to a price and the dealership proceeds to **run the credit of myself and my wife through 9 different banks prompting a call from my credit monitoring agency this morning thinking my identity was stolen.** After telling me they can approve us at a great rate, a person I had not spoken with comes over and informs me the car is not certified pre-owned and **will not be certified pre-owned unless I pay them more money.** They offer a new price for the car to which I said I’m still very interested in buying so long as they look into the issues I highlighted after the test drive. They said they’d look into it first thing the next morning. What they did instead was sell the car to another person and not even call to notify me. When I called and asked for status of the car, they informed me I told them I didn’t want the car and refused to put a deposit down so they sold it. I’m not mad they sold the car to someone else (it’s business), I’m mad that they wasted hours of my life and held my keys from me while I waited. I’m mad they ran our credit 9 times (something that will remain on my credit for years) before deciding to tell me that the car was not warrantied like they had repeatedly told it was and that the only way it would be is if I paid them more money. I’ve purchased quite a few cars in my lifetime and have never been treated like I was at this dealership. I will never do business or have my VW serviced at this dealership and I hope this serves as a warning to others who may go look at a vehicle they are selling. More
