So what do I do, walk in unannounced and ask for Phil Brown. Phil set the tone for the whole experience - friendly and personable - and introduced us to Jim. It should be noted that Phil chatted with us each time we stopped in at the dealership over several days. Of course we looked a several vehicles (makes and models)and gas mileage was on our mind (hybrid, gas, diesel, etc.). With this purchase we wanted to increase our gas mileage but also be budget smart given our intended use for the car - in town, low annual mileage, etc. Jim was very knowledgeable and let the product do the talking for itself, but also was informative (walking us through the features of the vehicles, answering questions) and helped us make our buying decision based on our parameters. While we loved the Passat TDI, we knew the right purchase at this time was the gas Jetta. We found a 2012 Jetta on the lot that had been used as a service loaner at the dealership. Had a few thousand miles on it, but in new condition at a great price! Wow, what a fun car to drive! We love it! By the way don't tell Jim, but we would have bought the Passat TDI, he just helped us make the right choice instead. Anyway, what a great experience and vehicle for us! We recently purchased a used certified 2009 Jetta from Bud Brown Volkswagen. A few days after taking possession, we detected some paint flaws that frankly were not noticed before we finalized the deal on Bud Brown Volkswagen. A few days after taking possession, we detected some paint flaws that frankly were not noticed before we finalized the deal on the vehicle. After I took the car in for service two weeks after taking possession, I was approached by Larry Swanson as I walked through the used cars on display. When he mentioned he was the used car sales manager, I decided to express my concerns about the paint flaws. He was very friendly and listened patiently to me. He said he would examine the car while it was in the service department and get back to me later that day. To make a long story shorter, Larry insisted on taking the car back. Another used certified 2008 Jetta had come in that we liked even better, at the same price point, so we were offered and accepted an even exchange. We are now very pleased with our purchase. I consider this experience to be an example of customer service at its finest. As first-time Bud Brown customers, it's obvious to me our future business is important to them. We will probably be in the market for a Tiguan in the next year or two and naturally this will be the dealership we will come to first. Thanks again to Larry Swanson and also to our salesman Chris Jung, who was very helpful and friendly in our interactions with him.
