My wife and I recently went to buy two cars from Phil Brown at Bud Brown Volkswagen because I know he is professional, knowledgeble and honest. My father had previously purchased a car from Mr. Brown and Brown at Bud Brown Volkswagen because I know he is professional, knowledgeble and honest. My father had previously purchased a car from Mr. Brown and had a great experience. Mr. Brown helped my wife and I with evaluating the best options for us with regards to purchasing and leasing cars. He was excellent and made the sales experience a positive one for us. Mr. Brown's Sales Consultant, Melissa McConnell, was also very impressive. Her follow through and support after the sales was remarkable. We really appreciated the top flight service and care Mr. Brown and Ms. McConnell gave us. Our truly exceptional and positive experience at Bud Brown Volkswagen in working with Phil Brown and Melissa McConnell is why I give Bud Brown the great rating it deserves as a car dealership. I was halfway into a 10 hour road trip when my 2012 CC (with less than 15,000 miles!) started acting up. It was the same problem that my home dealership said they had fixed, so I limped the car into the (with less than 15,000 miles!) started acting up. It was the same problem that my home dealership said they had fixed, so I limped the car into the nearest shop (Bud Brown Volkswagen) with a lot of frustration and a bit of an attitude. Steve Haller was the best at handling me and my car! Steve worked my vehicle into an already packed weekend service schedule and stayed in touch while they diagnosed a major issue that my home dealership had missed. He had the car ready for me on my return back through Kansas City (barely two working days later!), and even made a personal phone call a day or two afterward to make sure that my drive was alright and the car was working. It was a great experience, and I'm happy to recommend the service group at Bud Brown for those who live in the area. Who knows, I may even buy my next VW there even though I live in Minneapolis! More
In the end, I purchased the car, however, the process was demeaning from a customer service view. During my test drive, the salesman indicated that the vehicle came with an additional 36month/100,000mile wa demeaning from a customer service view. During my test drive, the salesman indicated that the vehicle came with an additional 36month/100,000mile warranty. I was surprised by that, and told him that definitely influenced my decision to purchase that day. However, when the time came to sign for the car, the warranty provided to me indicated that I would be responsible for 50% of costs (supplies and labor). This information was not disclosed to me during our conversation. At that point, the salesman asked the manager Nick to talk with me. Nick's comments were rude and condescending. He stated, "Most people will read the warrant paper on the window before they drive the car." I was very disappointed in his response as a manager, and shared with him the conversation I had with the salesman. Nick continued the rationale he used previously, "Well, we don't give warranties away, you should have read the 50% responsibility before you drove the car." I initially left the dealership, however, the price of the car was very good in my opinion, and I also realized that my own frustrations with the manager's comments lead me to leave. In the end, I purchased an extended warranty - I'm sure some people will see this as the manager improved the bottom line sales, however, from a customer service perspective, I can assure any readers that I will not use this dealership for any future car purchases. More

Bought 2 VW Jetta TDIs from Bud Brown a 2010 and 2012. Loved our Jettas but back windows squeaked on our newest 2012 Jetta, VW nor Bud Brown would cover the repairs in full. Wanted me to pay for part of t Loved our Jettas but back windows squeaked on our newest 2012 Jetta, VW nor Bud Brown would cover the repairs in full. Wanted me to pay for part of the repairs under a Full bumper to bumper warranty when we had only 26k miles on the car. VW will not stand behind their product! Loved the cars but won't cover design flaws in their new body style car. Bought a Chevy Cruze Diesel and traded in the 2012 and havn't looked back. Never again will I own another VW. More

We went there not expecting to find anything we were looking for. They had a very nice vehicle similar to what we were looking for and Jim's friendliness and help sold us.
