My fiance and I contacted the dealership by phone to schedule a time to come in to discuss purchasing a new KIA. From our initial phone discussion with Dan Langford, to the final signing of the purchase agreement with Mike Wheeler ,this experience can not be described as anything but exceptional. After our intial phone discussion with Dan who outlined the overall product line and answered several questions concerning general features of our vehicle. We were contacted by Joe Duckworth on the scheduled day of the dealership visit and test drive, he asked several questions about our expectations and the desired vehicle. When we arrived at the dealership, we were warmly greeted by Joe and Alan. Joe then began to "educate" us on the many features of our propsed purchase. This was followed by a test drive during which time Joe encouraged us to "experience" the car and demonstrated many of the features, both safety, performance, and comfort found in our choice of vehicle. He answered questions honestly and openly, with out reservation. Joe demonstrated a tremendous knowledge of the product and the services provided by KIA. In a short time we were convined that KIA and Buchanan were our dealership. Joe shared about the follow-up services at Buchanan, such as the service department, etc. We then met with Alan Bass, finance manager, who outlined our options with regards to KIA Fianacial, local banks, interest rates, etc. They informed us within a day of our approved options, and allowed us to make a decision with zero presure. Not a common trait in our previous car purchase experiences. After deciding to purchase our new KIA.We met with Mike Wheeler to sign the financial documents, due to scheduling issues related to our employment, Mike met with us seperately to sign the documents. We thanked him for his consideration , his only comment was, "were here to serve you". This feeling was sensed in every interaction and transaction at Buchanan The staff of Buchanan can only be charactized as "friendly, courteous, knowledgable, and first rate". We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. The entire experience was "first rate" and an actually enjoyable. More
I have a history of replacing my vehicle every three years on average. After considerable research I settled on going with KIA. I visited 4 KIA dealers in my area. Of the four, one at first gave years on average. After considerable research I settled on going with KIA. I visited 4 KIA dealers in my area. Of the four, one at first gave me a price that seemed reasonable until I got to Buchanan which was my last visit. Since I do not enjoy participating in the "car sales" game, I usually go with the first best price. This most recent purchase was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had over the last three vehicles I have purchased. Buchanan is a relatively small dealership located in a small but friendly community some distance outside of the Baltimore Metropolitan area. It turned out to be a smart choice on my part. The price was by far the best offered and I was greatly impressed with the three individuals with whom I interacted. Joe Duckworth, Dan Langford, and Mike Wheeler. Should my experience with my new KIA prove enjoyable to me over the next three years or so, I will most likely return to Buchanan and will surely recommend them to my interested friends. We have been going to Buchanan Kia for 6 years. Yesterday we bought our second Kia, which is a 2013 Kia Soul. Didn't have a good experience at this dealership. Maybe it was a bad day for this place but it was not friendly, we were not greeted warmly and we found Larry Davis to be stamdoffish and a bit moody. From the moment we walked in the door to the day we signed the paperwork for the final sale, we were treated and felt like respected and truly appreciated customers. I originally contacted and then went to this dealer regarding a used truck for sale. It turned out not to be the one for us but, the sales rep, Joe Duckworth, took the time to sit down with me and share some other inventory in stock. We actually came up with one that would work for our needs. It was located at another Buchanan branch but he was able to get it to his location in a day or so for us to look at. The communication was great and punctual from start to finish. Joe Duckworth and his General Manager, Dan Langford completely took the stress out of purchasing the vehicle without high-pressure sales tactics and being honest with us from the get go. Pricing is important (which by the way, the truck was priced very well and fairly) but friendly, down-to-earth, quality customer service really means a lot to us. We have already told many family, friends and neighbors where we purchased our vehicle and each one was given the recommendation to go see these guys. Kudos to the rest of their team too...the polite lady who answered the phone each time we called, the finance manager who worked with us, and the other sales reps who smiled and said hello in passing. We are very satisfied and look forward to doing business with this dealership in the future. More
Last week I purchased my new Kia Rio at this dealership. They are absolutely awesome there. Their mechanics are the best, their customer service was excellent. There is a family atmosphere at this dealership . Buying a new car is stressful, but I actually had a great time and zero stress. It was very much worth the 2.5 hour drive to go here. More

Mike wheeler and Larry Davis are the best in what they do. They went out of there way to make sure that I was completely satisfied. The Kia product is by far the best for the buck. The vehicles that I purchased have plenty of power and room. And with the long warranty 10 years or 100,000 miles , best in the business. I know that I will be in the Kia family for a long time. After purchasing my first KIA, I became a total fan of the KIA brand. I had my KIA Soul for little over a year and, I decided I needed something a little bit different with more creature comforts. However I still wanted to stay within the KIA brand. I began contacting Joe Duckworth once I had made this decision. I had known Joe from his days working at another dealership, and when he told me he started working for a KIA dealer, I knew he was the person I would go to if I ever decided to purchase another car. Low and behold that day came. All I needed to do was tell Joe exactly what I wanted, and he made it happen almost instantly. The car I purchased was a 2013 KIA Rio5 SX with a Premium Package in Aurora black. Sounds easy enough right? Think again, there were only 4 of these cars within a 800 mile radius with the options I wanted, 2 were way too far away for me to even consider, 1 was sold during the process of searching, and one was at a dealer in another state. This is where the TOP NOTCH customer service comes into play! Joe worked tirelessly for days trying to get a negotiation together with the other dealership to get my car. He kept me almost minute to minute updated on everything that was going on, and assured me that he would not stop his search until I got EXACTLY the vehicle I was looking for. That day came QUICK! Joe contacted me right away, and to my surprise the car arrived at Buchanan KIA the very next day. Unfortunately I was unable to come take a look at the car for a few days due to my work schedule. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to my vehicles, especially their cosmetic appearance. Joe had no problem going and looking over the entire car with a sharp eye, and looking for exactly what I had asked him to, and to make sure it was flawless before I took delivery. I made arrangements with Joe to purchase the car a few days later. He worked around my crazy work schedule coming in on his day off, so that I could get my new car promptly. I arrived at the dealership and meticulously looked over the car for several minutes, and found Joe's description 100% accurate regarding the cosmetics of the car. All I had to do was meet with the financing manager, who was also very customer friendly, sign the standard financial documents and the car was all mine. But it doesn't stop there. The dealerships detailer had been out that day, so Joe did all of the pre-delivery cleaning and washing of my car himself. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience with Joe Duckworth, and Buchanan KIA was. They are an EXCELLENT dealership, with employees who go above and beyond the call of duty. There was not one minute I felt pressured, ripped off, or like I was being sold something I didn't want, which in the past has been my experience with other dealerships. With the excellent build quality and warranty KIA offers I am positive I will be driving my car worry free for a looooong time. Thank you again to Joe Duckworth for his professional, customer oriented, exceptional service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Buchanan KIA, and will be back to deal with them in the future not only because of their customer service, but more importantly the service Joe Duckworth provided me. THANK YOU!
