You can pick up on the Customer First Methodology from the Bryan Subaru Services Department within a few seconds of meeting them. Of course they are great about the repairs and maintenance. Great with setting expectations on timing for a repair - and have even offered a loaner when I was in a bind. They are polite and professional. Always ready to help. All of that is awesome (and sadly not the norm when you go other places). The new facility is perfect - from a kids playroom with activity centers and books - to coffee and soda water while you wait. But the Bryan Services Team doesn't stop at nice people and a nice facility - they take it a few steps further and really start to shine when there is something out of the ordinary. When an outlier presents. An issue with a vehicle (or customer I suppose) that could use escalation. I suspect that many of the repairs / or events for a services department fall into a fairly neat "bucket" and have a clear path to resolution, but occasionally there can be an event that is not as clear. Or doesn't have a pre-scripted path to resolution….an outlier of sorts. It is precisely this instance when the autonomy and creativity of the Bryan Services Management Team begins to shine. When as a customer, you really need an advocate…because something strange has happened to your car - and you don't know enough about cars to ask if it is weird to anyone else - and you need someone from your services team to ask the questions on your behalf. And further - Subaru has made it possible for their team members to step in and take this course of action when necessary. You can tell that Subaru values it's team members like they value their automobiles - otherwise someone like Jason Gullo (manager at Bryan and the guy who really went to bat for me) wouldn’t be able to raise his voice (and his hand) to become the personal advocate for a customer who might be experiencing a "unique event" with their vehicle. I contacted the Sales Team at Bryan the day after I picked my car up - It was a solid reminder of how important the Services Piece is to brand loyalty. If I was considering an alternative brand for my next vehicle - my recent experience with the Services Team at Bryan, reminded me of a very important reason why I picked Subaru in the first place. More
