The dealership and Brian Guzzardi were polite, professional and competent. It was everything I could want in a dealership. Though it won't be for a while I will definitely shop there when looking professional and competent. It was everything I could want in a dealership. Bryan Subaru was recommended by two friends and the experience lived up to my expectations. Our salesman could not have been nicer and there was never any pressure to buy. experience lived up to my expectations. Our salesman could not have been nicer and there was never any pressure to buy. More
Bad news: I needed a new transmission at 57,000 miles. The service gal was great and calmed me down, talked me off the ledge. I was offered a loner, but declined. I brought my car to Bryan Subaru for an oil change and tire rotation. It’s a very well-maintained, low-mileage vehicle (I drive < 5k miles/year). During the multi-point inspection, I was informed I needed tire rotation. It’s a very well-maintained, low-mileage vehicle (I drive < 5k miles/year). During the multi-point inspection, I was informed I needed a new engine air filter, which I authorized. Two days later, my car wouldn’t start. When I called Bryan Subaru, they told me to tow it in for them to diagnose the problem. I called AAA. When the AAA technician arrived, he popped the hood and immediately saw massive corrosion on my battery. He tested the battery and it was dead. He cleaned off the corrosion and replaced the battery. I showed him the multi-point inspection form (completed by Bryan Subaru 2 days earlier), which indicated a green checkmark next to my battery. He said there was no way they could have tested my battery because it was covered in corrosion (I took a picture), and he said that a battery test would have indicated it needed to be replaced. After the AAA technician left, I called Bryan Subaru to tell them what happened. The service advisor was condescending and told me that batteries are like lightbulbs. He said they can work one day and 48 hours later burn out. That was all he said. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received at Bryan Subaru. If they actually had inspected my battery during the multi-point inspection, they would have seen the massive amount of corrosion. Even if they tested its strength and it was “good” (which is unlikely but I guess could have happened), they should have cleaned off the corrosion and mentioned that my car is 4.5 years old and probably needed a new battery. Then I would have asked them to replace my battery. But they didn’t, so 2 days after having my car “inspected” and told my battery was good (along with an oil change, tire rotation, and new engine air filter), my car wouldn’t start (because of a dead battery), and I was stranded with a scared toddler. Thank goodness I have AAA. More
