When I got to the dealership, the car actually had 106k. Not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things so I didn't make a fuss. I will say that the salesman made the process very easy so that's where the second star came from in my review. He called to make the appointment and when my husband and I got to the dealership, the car was ready to test drive even though it was raining. I will say that the car was not a brand that this dealership specializes in but I still had faith that the service department would have taken care of what needed to be done or outsource it to a dealer for the brand. I should not have had that faith. The oil change for the car was due at 106k and this was not done by the dealer before the sale. 3 days after having the car and driving less than 100 miles, the engine light came on. I drove the hour and a half back to the dealership where it was taken in right away by the service department. About a half hour later, engine light was off and I was told it was an issue with the battery replacement that was done. Okay cool. Fast forward to 3400 miles and 58 days later. My dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree. More issues with the car that are of course not covered under a warranty. I brought the car to a brand dealer who diagnosed many system issues with the car that render the car inoperable. Issues that could have been found if the car were properly serviced before the sale as is expected when buying from a reputable dealer. The brand dealer who completed the diagnosis explained the system issues could not have been caused during the 58 days I have driven the car and were most likely there when I purchased the car. I have been attempting deal with the dealer and the warranty company for the last week with no success. Crickets. I am beyond frustrated and have no way to deal with the warranty company without involving the silent dealer rep. Dealers should not sell cars they do not have the capability to service and I am learning that the hard way. Update: someone reached out to me and when I explained the issues they really had nothing to say other than to offer me an oil change and say they would have someone call me regarding my warranty questions. I have no need for an oil change for a car that cannot be driven. Heard back from the individual I was waiting to hear from about the warranty. I can change it but have to pay(of course) and my issues are not going to be covered by the warranty company or with any help from the dealer who sold me this ticking xxx that was never serviced. I was told that if I change the warranty, an inspection would have to be done on the car. Again. Can't drive the xxxx thing so no point in trying to have it inspected. At the end of the day I'm going to be responsible for paying for something that could have been checked if the dealer had done their due diligence. Will not recommending this place for anyone looking to buy a car. Unacceptable and I will be filing a complaint with the DMV. More
First off I would like to say that the posted price of the vehicles that they have posted on their website and other sites such as car gurus are "REALLY" not the actual prices of the vehicles if you don't the vehicles that they have posted on their website and other sites such as car gurus are "REALLY" not the actual prices of the vehicles if you don't intend on financing through them. Apparently there is a very very small clause in print stating that the price posted is for financing through their finance company. If you are a cash buyer or plan on financing through your own bank or credit union then tack on another $1,000 dollars to the listed price. Another slime ball issue is they tack on a charge of $150 for putting some xxxxxxxx stencil identification somewhere on your vehicle just in case your car gets stolen.....but they just conveniently forget to tell you about that little charge. Make sure you read the entire purchase and sales agreement. This place is shady as all xxxx. Do your due diligence people. More
I have been a loyal customer of Brustolon's for many years, having serviced and repaired many of my personal vehicles there. Today I called several times for a oil change apt.and pricing. The service d years, having serviced and repaired many of my personal vehicles there. Today I called several times for a oil change apt.and pricing. The service dept. Stated they would have to call me back. It took over 3.5 hrs for them to call me back. They told me it would be $ 39.95 Labor alone! Very disappointed to say the least. Bob D. From Stonington Ct. Joe P was polite and accommodating right up until he knew the sale was made; then his demeanor made a 180. He wouldn't give me a bottom line, only wanted to focus on the monthly payment which I made clear I the sale was made; then his demeanor made a 180. He wouldn't give me a bottom line, only wanted to focus on the monthly payment which I made clear I was not interested and rushed me out the door when the purchase was complete. Their finance manager misled two of us by once again making numbers work based on a monthly payment by adjusting an interest rate, not a bottom line. When confronted, neither took responsibility for their actions. I will not buy from them again. Of note - CPO cost is in addition to listed price so don't be fooled! More
Worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealershipBought a Worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealership Bought a truck about a year ago had to repair A/C system, blower motor, all four tires, battery, and Worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealership Bought a truck about a year ago had to repair A/C system, blower motor, all four tires, battery, and now there is no heat! Called for service appointment, cause I did buy a warranty, told me they have staffing issues had to wait 2 weeks. So I wait 2 weeks drop off the truck for the appointment they call say they still have issues couldn’t do it! 7 days later I am still stuck with no transportation or expectation of when I will have my vehicle repaired. The truck still sitting where I parked it! No repairs, no call, no offer of loaner. Now I’m finding out this isn’t a rare occurrence at Brustolon guess their idea of customer service is very much different than most! In 50 years of doing business with dealerships I have never been treat so poorly! If and when I ever do get my truck back it will never see the inside of that place again. I’m sure there are many other establishments that would love to have my business and treat me with at least a little respect! If your looking to buy this is not the place to spend your hard earned money! More
Tried to trade in a car: (Cobra), on a Mustang but was put through a run-a-round with pictures that they wanted only to find out that the person I was communicating with didn't know what a Cora was. Amazing experience, I called after hours to get some information on a suv they had for sale (not thinking anyone would answer) but low and behold the owner answered stating they did have the car availab information on a suv they had for sale (not thinking anyone would answer) but low and behold the owner answered stating they did have the car available ( the only person to answer after I called 9 dealerships). We drove from ma first thing in the am and ended up working with Richard who was also the nicest person who took great care of us and was such a pleasure to work with ! everyone at this dealership was so pleasant and easy to talk to they quickly got us in our new truck and even ended up buying our other suv off us with no hassles! I can not say enough about this car buying experience we have bought many cars and this was by far the easiest, fairly priced, and most friendly staff we have ever worked with! More
