Unfortunately for me, I was dead wrong. Everyone was all smiles at the beginning, but once I had signed the paperwork, things changed pretty rapidly. I should add that my salesman, Kenny Taiwo, was perfectly nice. The problems only started once I had to interact with management and finance. I was quoted a price via email, but when I was sent back to the finance department, I was told that I would have to pay an additional $500 because the quote included the recent graduate discount that I wasn't eligible for. Well, it would have been nice to know that their quote included that ahead of time, given that there were other dealerships that had offered me the same price without any discount programs. Surprised and frankly, a bit annoyed, I approached the sales manager on the floor at the time, Mike Walter. He told me that I could "take my price or go someplace else." So much for buying happy. At this point, I had been there 4 hours and was exhausted, so I decided to just swallow the cost. When I got back to the finance department, they told me that they couldn't accept my Capital One auto financing because they'd never dealt with it before. After some pressing, they finally called Capital One, and lo and behold, it worked. I drove off the lot a very unhappy customer. I received a survey asking about my experience, and when I expressed my displeasure, I was told that I'd be contacted by Tim Eubank. Unsurprisingly, I was never contacted. Do yourself a favor, and check out a different dealership. The hard sell tactics and the poor treatment at Brown's Honda City are not indicative of a dealership that cares about its customers. More
