I was told at first, that my credit was fine, and I'd have no problems. Two hours later, of waiting and wondering and back and forth I was told I had no credit. Fine, it was true to a degree ( I had never had a car loan, no credit cards, no debt). They did work with us on price, and down payment, but we only had 1 option as what to buy. It was a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They swore up and down it was in great shape, etc. I wanted to have my mechanic check it out but they insisted it wasn't necessary. That was when the bullying started. Because of my unfavorable credit rating I had no choice. This was the best I'd ever get and all other dealers would laugh at me. They literally had me in tears ans feeling horrible. I am a single mother with 2 small children and needed to have a vehicle. And they knew that. And they took complete advantage of it. After being there for the better part of 6 hours, they started on the warranty. I needed to buy this warranty. Its great covers everything, etc. Well, the reason for this review is that warranty. I bought the car, bought the warranty, last year in February. This week my engine blew up. Literally, I was driving the car, had no problems at all, and one of the pistons EXPLODED. The warranty is supposed to cover this. Superior Protection Plans is almost a bigger scam then Family Car Mart. They are giving me the hardest time, they don't want to pay to replace the motor. They have been rude both to me, and to my mechanic. If you google the company name "superior protection plan" the only website that comes up is ripoffreport.com. Please please, even if you have bad credit, DO NOT buy a car here. They pray on people who feel they have no other options. Then sell you a car that is not what they claim it is, and the problem becomes yours. I still have 3 years on my loan, a car with no motor, and a warranty company who is doing everything in it's power to NOT help me. Its a nightmare. I can't afford to fix it on my own, can't afford to buy another car, and am basically screwed. So it is my advice to anyone thinking of buying a car here, DO NOT even walk through the door. The minute you walk in they do everything to keep you there, wear you down, and have you walk out with a car that is not what they say it is.... If you have not so great credit, do yourself a favor and buy a car out-right from a private seller and save yourself a whole list of problems! I also agree with the person who said the great ratings are employees or friends. I can't imagine anyone having a good experience... I watched an 18 year old girl cry her eyes out because they told her they could get her in a car for $1500 down and after 4 hours it was up to $2500 and she didn't have it... Family Car Mart should be ashamed of themselves. They are part of what's wrong with our country today! More

Ripped me off badly. I asked for payments no more than $200 monthly, got $330. Asked for suv that won't get stuck in snow, got rondezvous that won't go through any. Was given warranty. Said it was offered to me, never said I will be paying for it. Car light says service traction since the test drive. The worker I had said that was nothing and they just had it serviced. Well, I've had brake issues since day one. When I called about this the manager was rotten to me. Told me its not his problem. I feel so taken advantage of. I DO NOT recommend this dealer at all. I bought a new car there and when I test drove it the car was fine when I went to pick it up after I purchased it was fine they took it off the lot to detail it and when it came back all my mirrors and windo was fine when I went to pick it up after I purchased it was fine they took it off the lot to detail it and when it came back all my mirrors and windows were pitted and I complained they said they would fix it but they have not and since recanted their statement that they would replace all of them for me and now are trying to put all the blame on me!!!! Whatever happened to customer satisfaction!?! Or the customer is always right?!? They have been rude to me and ignore my phone calls and they don't call me back! Very poor customer satisfaction!!!! Buy your vehicle somewhere else where they respect the customer and aren't out for the sale!!! Still waiting for a phone call back from them I was there 2weeks ago More
I have had this vehicle for about 4 months and there are already problems with the engine. All representatives have very bad attitudes. No one knows about the warranty that is being sold to customers whenev already problems with the engine. All representatives have very bad attitudes. When i took my car back to get it fixed no one knows whether the warranty will cover a rental while my car is in the shop. As most people do work, how am to travel back and forth to work? They advised me on 7/9/2012 that my car would be looked at and that once it has i would be called. I have yet to receive a phone call which means my car has not yet been looked at. Also, when I called to inform them about my engine giving out on me driving, they said my deductible would be 100.00 which is fine but also 65.00 for them to look and see what the problem as. This is ridiculous and this is the worse place to ever purchase a vehicle. People think twice! More

It's Tom Ring disguised as Aunt Bessie. You can't remove the stripes from a Zebra. It's still a terrible experience. No prices. Lousy trade in and very over priced car. Just a constant negotiation. Delivered car extremely dirty, in need of front end repairs, only half a tank of gas, mandatory warranty which I pay for with a hundred dollar deductible...I have so so credit so my options were limited so I took what I could get...They tried to shoe me a car without a dashboard the LAST i went there when it wasn't called Aunt Bessie. Not much changed...just the name. Obviously friends or employees of the dealership wrote most of the previous reviews. No dealership gets all 5s! More
