I have a newer F150 and the transmission failed. Made an appointment to have it diagnosed, spoke with a service advisor and as soon as parts were available repairs were made and got back on the road Made an appointment to have it diagnosed, spoke with a service advisor and as soon as parts were available repairs were made and got back on the road. Close, convenient, and friendly dealership. Service experience could have better. It took 4 visits and around 50 miles on my 2015 mustang GT with only 2220 miles on it prior to the service. Arrived at the dealer to find out that my appointment was not scheduled. I was told I could leave the car for the day with no guarantee that it would make into the shop. I was told that my car was at the bottom of the list! Picked the car up and the car hadn't been touched. the same thing. Brought the car back the next day This time I was told that the parts had to be ordered. Several days went by and no call back about whether the parts had come in. I called the dealer, and the young lady that I talked to was VERY helpful, and informed me that the parts were in. so I made another appointment, brought the car back on Friday . I got a call and was told that a part that had to be removed for the repair got broken, and had to be ordered. Our car stayed at the dealer over the weekend. Monday I got a call that the car was ready. Along with the recall service I ask to have the left taillight diagnosed, there is an issue with the turn signal on that side no operating correctly, and agreed to pay for the diagnosis time. .I was told that the taillight assembly was the cause of the problem and they would give me a price for the part. When I came to pickup the car my service advisor was not there, so another advisor gave me my keys and receipt. They waived the diagnosis charge for the taillight for my inconvenience witch I appreciated. But the price of the taillight assembly was not listed on my receipt. So I just took the car home. When I originally brought the car in I asked if there might be a service bulletin or a recall on the taillight because I had researched the issue online, and found that it was indeed an issue with this model. I know my car is a 2015 model with 2200 miles, I guess that I was hoping that Ford had some kind of fix or BCM update. I was told that the fix would be my responsibility. I am retired now but I was a master technician for over 40+ years working at dealerships, sometimes the dealer would dealer warranty the repair. Guess I will have to repair it myself. I'm sure this was an isolated incident and that is why I gave 4 stars. I defiantly feel that there is room for improvement with customer communications. More
