I went with a history of exemplary past experience with my past salesperson Scott, but since he retired I thought no one would match his skills and expertise. I Wouldn't Take My Worst Enemy's Broken Bicycle To Brondes I took my 2016 F-150 in for scheduled maintenance. They handed me a pamphlet that listed the service items for due, and listed the price. When I picke I took my 2016 F-150 in for scheduled maintenance. They handed me a pamphlet that listed the service items for due, and listed the price. When I picked the truck up, the bill was more than double what was shown in the pamphlet. The explanation I got was that the pamphlet listed Ford's recommended items, and that they did more because of the area I live in. However, a side-by-side comparison of the pamphlet and the bill didn't show any more work than listed in the pamphlet. Fool me once . . . I then took my 2017 Mustang Convertible in for a defective satellite antenna. They charged me over $400 to replace it. I checked with several other area dealerships and found the price was tremendously inflated; it shouldn't have cost anywhere near that much. During this same visit, I asked them to take a look at the right rear window, which wouldn't close completely when the top was up. When I picked the car up, I asked about the window. The service writer said, "Oh, it needs anew motor and regulator. It'll run about $1,200." I said, "no way" ! I stopped by a local auto body shop where I know the owner, and told him about the window. He told me the motor and regulator story was xx. He applied a little dry lube to the window track in the convertible top. Problem resolved. The window now closes just fine. But Brondes was ready to charge me over $1,000 for a repair I didn't need. Fool me twice . . . . Not a chance ! More
