Poor customer service I bought my slightly used CR-V from Brilliance. First the air conditioning did not work and then the splash shield fell off on I 55. The service man I bought my slightly used CR-V from Brilliance. First the air conditioning did not work and then the splash shield fell off on I 55. The service manager at Brilliance blamed the Schaumburg dealership (who repaired the air conditioning). I found him unwilling to listen to anything I said and pointing the blame finger at the other dealership. No compensation or help was offered. Not good! I also had problems reaching the sales man who sold me the car. I left 3-4 messages and no return call. Then I found out he’d been out ill...but I was told he was coming in later that day or the next. I will not be returning to Brilliance! More

Quality of Work..... suspect? On May 19th, I took my Honda in for service to install new rear brake pads. Upon picking up the car, I started to drive out of the dealership’s parki On May 19th, I took my Honda in for service to install new rear brake pads. Upon picking up the car, I started to drive out of the dealership’s parking lot and heard a loud screeching sound in the rear end of the car. Turned around and went back into the dealership’s service bay and told service personnel of issue. New ticket was opened, service desk personnel stated issue would be looked at and I proceeded to the customer waiting area. After 1 hour, I went back to the Service area requesting loaner car since no status was given to me. The service personnel was going to issue me a loaner car, but wanted to check in the garage area with technician. I was told car will be done and out shortly. Apparently, the cause of the loud noise was a shim out of alignment and rubbing against the pad/rotor. MY ISSUE WITH BRILLIANCE SERVICE: I have no idea why the technician working on the car nor porter moving the car from the wash did not discover the noise, which should have been quite noticeable. Also, when I turned around and brought the car back in to the service bay I stated the car was just serviced and the noise issue as a result. I should have been given priority service to have the problem immediately looked at and fixed. No updates were provided and if I didn’t go to the Service area to request loaner or progress on my car who knows how long I would have been waiting. I have used Brilliance Honda many years for servicing my cars, but now have second thoughts going forward in terms of future vehicle servicing or purchasing of new vehicles. Are their technicians really qualified and take responsibility to make sure the car is correct when it leaves the work (s)he performed? Are the service reps really focused on the customer and wanting to provide superior service? Would a local automobile repair shop do better? Gary B (invoice # 667732) More
